no it effects the strobes at the ends of the wings also, any lights that flash i believe.

I did purchase this, very nice at night if you CPU is powered, my unfortunate drop my f/s to 2f/s as other plane come on view, an also in daytime it is a cloud under the plane, why? Myself I like the idea in this program to see the approaching aircraft on final but I wish my CPU (2.8G with Invida card) would not kill my frames
