  • Marvin was a music genius. I can only imagine what songs he could have written if he was still alive. I miss him. R.I.P Marvin

  • This song is a master piece from our days. This song is actually. Whats going on in our world in 2012...in all? Cuando escucho esta cancion me llena los pelos de punta, porque me pregunto que es lo que esta ocurriendo en el mundo hoy día. Whats going on?...in the world

  • Seriously. Is there are more relevant contemporary set of lyrics in music today?

That's not a rhetorical question - I'm contending that this song from Marvin Gaye, just might be the most prophetic arrangement of performed vocals, not just in this era of music, but throughout any epoch of Human history on this planet.

Name a single solitary Human era, where this song could have been played and considered non-relevant? Name just one moment in Human history were such would be the case?

  • @TigerGrumman So, so true I agree!!

His music touches your heart a gifted man.

  • No wonder Marvin Gaye is a legend. Rightly so.

  • @JENYERS man I cry at so many songs written by so many people since whenever and forever because of that very reason -it seems we will never learn, and the few of us that already know aren't (it seems) enough to make the change- the curse of the human race, I'm afraid, but still like this song and the many others we must not give up hope, to give up is the greatest sin. I'm not religious me more spiritual but it comes in may forms and you know when it is true because like this song its beautiful

  • Classic Marvin Gaye... What's going on?? Priceless and timeless.

  • what is the song at the very end??? it cuts off at the last second, starts off which something like "ohhh baby"

  • THE GREATEST SINGER 0F ALL TIME!

  • i wonder how did he died?

  • Shot by his father by the pistol he, himself gave to his father.

  • @ahilgaz

why would you make a song like this and hand out pistols.. i dont get it

  • its funny that i stumble on this song..... idk i think that the lyrics can be used any generation?

  • His message is just as relavent today as it was in 1972! It applies equally well to all the stuff that's going on. When the song was a top ten, I was a Marine; so of course to me it related to our debacle in Nam, especially as it related to my black Marine brothers. I can't claim the priviledge (or curse) of African ancestry, just Caucasian, Chinese and Choctaw, but the message speaks to me. The People must stop holding themselves back! Wonderful! Thanks, OGGTVdotcom!

  • thanks for this my man!

  • I used open-source tools on Linux, to color-correct this Marvin Gaye video.

This originated from a early Flash video file, which was blue also. The blue color can be from age, or any combination of things.

You will notice the film color at the start of the video changes dramatically.

There are copies which are not blue, but they are not available on any DVD.

Since this is a OGG-Theora video file uploaded to YouTube, everyone is actually watching a open-source video, with open-source sound.

  • @OGGTVdotcom Good job !
