  • 1) Do Hulda Clark's liver flush twice a month for at least 6 months. You can get her book at New Century Press.

    2) Flush the mucoid plaque out of your intestines. Type "mucoid intestinal plaque" in the You Tube browser to find out what it is.

    3) Drink a blood purifier tea daily such as red clover tea.

    4) Eliminate as much as possible all refined sugars. Especially sodas, candy, cake etc. Eat only organic grains & rice.

    5) Get on a heavy metal detox.

  • Thank you for this video. You aren't alone. I've been suffering with this for about a year. I am scared to use steroids so I steer clear of them, but this frustrates my dermatologist; she doesn't know what else to give me. What works best for me is plenty of sleep, tanning (I know, not the best, but I am desperate), and no soda/sugar. Drink lots of water and eat lots of raw vegetables. Good luck and I will keep hoping that someday they find a cure for this!

  • FYI: I've had seb derm for over 12 years. You can live with it, diet and regular early sleep is key - but that doesn't mean it isn't something you'll have to maintain everyday. The burning went away for me eventually (I find this part of it is stress related more than anything else)

Best advice I can give is do not rely on creams to cover it up on a daily basis - especially stay away from any steroid products (like cortisol) - I ended up (like many of us) with steroid induced rosacea.

  • Dr.s dont know how to treat this at all, when I have a bad episode dematologist cant get me in for a month, I wish they can see what its like to walk around with this on their face for a month. ready to call my insurance company.

  • Whoa I'm so glad I found your video, I have the same exact symptoms. I had no idea what I had but from watching this I'm sure its SD. I started using head and shoulder and it works awesome. I don't use it everyday because I feel its a bit too strong for my face, so I use it once a week. Or every 3 days. So far so good, it keeps my SD under control. I hated walking around with flaky eyebrows *ugh...Thanks for the great video1

  • I made a video regarding the "Seborrheic Dermatitis" I hope it helps those in need. because it works for me. watch?v=qU2EVT33BUQ

  • The treatment I was prescribed is not working with Minnesota's long dry winters.

  • Apply Milk of Magnesia topically, rinse, done and done.

  • @ixfxi do you use a moisturizer after

  • thank you for posting this.

  • Good video!. I recommended a product to a friend of mine for his SD which is actually an acne treatment and he says it has made a massive difference. It is a product from England called Teenage Dream by Mama Nature. It was great or my acne and as the symptoms of SD are similar I thought it may help him. I am spreading the word.

  • Colloidal silver works!

  • whether the application of neem juice/powder will benefit scalp, eyebrows, face? what is the test to determine the level of mercury?

  • @RdKamikaze, I'm wondering what the progress of your condition is like, can you gives us an update? I have tried something new and natural thats been working for me recently. I'll share my method in the next few days.. hopefully some of you can benefit from it. until then.. all the best!

  • for shampoo, i use Paul Mitchell's Tea Tree Special. i found it at a salon in JC Penny. i use it everyday, if you miss a day, you will have it come back. it has a cooling sensation and i use it on my face while i shower, let it sit for about 1-2 mins after rubbing scalp and face with it. by the way, the shampoo is about 15 dollars for a big bottle.

  • You should have put that cream on at the end of the day. It just makes it flakier.

  • Nothing works for mine at all!

  • Comment removed

  • I had the same thing for over three years. Everyone on here check to see if your vitamin levels are low & specifically test for mercury poisoning. After years of lotions and home remedies I discovered that my zinc, calcium & biotin (B7) levels were all low. After supplementing with all three vitamins my rash dried up in two weeks and within three weeks it was completely gone. It's been three months and it has not come back. They were low due to extremely high levels of mercury.

  • did you had dandruff on scalp? because, i had dandruff i used selsun blue it went away, however it did not work on my face. chemicals in selsun works cause it has neautral pH levels for the scalp, if they change the levels of pH for face skins pH i'm pretty sure it would work on face too.

  • Yeah I have this too, I treat it with a triamcinolone acetonide cream. Seems to work well, but the redness still bothers me. We are all brothers in arms.

  • i have one also, my dermatologist told me that it cannot be cured anymore... She just gave a medical cream (expensive) that I put in the affected areas, and let it stay there for a day and it disappears. Sadly, we have to bear with it the reast of our life... Huhuhu!

  • The best way to keep clean and controlled, is to have a very good daily hygiene.

  • I had a rash like that for a long time, mostly in my beard and eye brows.

Found out it was seborrhoeic dematitis. it would run in cycles of burning redness

then flaking skin. tried Selsun Blue shampoo. and it went away.

  • I have had the same condition for almost three years now. And it's making me depressed :-(

  • I have the same thing! DId you find out how to cure this thing?

  • Have you tried sea buckthorn soap by Aubry organics (i think thats how u spell it?) to wash your face with? its supposed to help kill the fungus involved with sd, its not too bad about 10$ for a bar of it at most local health food stores, seems to work for me, either way worth a try

  • you a positive minded person you will find a way to cure that i am sure :D

  • do they sell this cream at cvs?? or did i have to go 2 a dermatologist?

  • @Bigkilluminati Of course you have to. Don't put anything on your skin without proper dermatologist advise.

  • i have had this for 5 years already without knowing the condition of my face skin, just yesterday i went to dermatology. the doctor gave me prescription for ketozonacole 2%. exactly same as what this guy had on video. I just started using this cream last night. it's burning my face to become red all over my face. i hope this won't take so long.

  • another name for the "maria treben's swedish elixir" is : "maria treben's swedish bitters". so go on google and type : "swedish bitters maria treben" and you will be able to buy it online. This will work. apply it on your affected skin before going to bed and rinse it off with water when you wake up.

  • "MARIA TREBEN SWEDISH ELIXIR" apply it everynight before going to bed on your affected area. rinse it off with water in the morning when you wake up. SD will never show up again. nor will the dryness or the flakes or the redness nothing! SD 100% gone. i've been applying it to my cheeks everynight for the past year. i have not had a single SD symptom not even a miscroscopic flake. nothing. with it you no longer need soap or moisturizers it is the all in one solution. you're welcome

  • this can be problem that grow with stress. But I had it on my forehead. And it gone after i start to eat raw food.but stress started it again, just a little spot, above eye"lid". And i have lost also dandruff. And i was eating 1 raw meal only during the day. I hope it will help you all. So - GO RAW!

  • For others looking for alternative solutions, try head and shoulders original, it's been a great help for me.

  • Unfortunately for me, nothing has ever worked accept accutane. I however would never recommend accutane to anyone bc i believe it contributed to my dry eyes and ibs problems.

Mine is brought on by extremely oily skin with lots of scaling (pitted flakes in my skin not on top) and redness. I've thought countless times that i'd found a solution but nothing ever pans out. It's a horrible problem.

  • I have this and I have found something that works really well i rarely get it now its called Dermol 500 Lotion. Google it, it works so well i use to get the redness, burning and flaking i use to get. When i get an occasional flare up like once every couple months i use the lotion and Nizoral Cream. It took me yeArs to find this but it really works for me and im practically flare up free.

  • Hey thanks for this informative video it was quite interesting to watch all this details you have actually put into it regarding the personal experience of seborrheic dermatitis.i my self is going through the very mild condition of this thing i have some little bit of flaking in my eyebrows ,aorund my nose and definitely in the mustache area i am kinda guy who usually have a stubble like you and the flaking annoys me even a bit of it moisturizers wont work have a little on my chest as well

  • hi. i was wondering if you could do another video or something to provide an update on how your skin has improved or not and lettng us know whether the medication helped you in anyway. I would like to know if this is something permanent that you have to take medicines for for the rest of ur life or can this actually go away forever?

  • Some success i've had recently with mine and at the time it was really bad. I had redness all around my hair-line, forehead, both sides of my nose, jaw and chest. I noticed it would flare up after drinking alcohol but i found recently it came from me producing excess oils in my hair which irritated the skin around my HAIRLINE, MY BEARD, EYEBROWS, CHEST.

I've found preventions and tips to combat this. please message me so i can help you because i haven't got enough space in this comment box!

  • I've had it for over 25 years, and have tried many things listed below. I just thought I'd share my most recent success of the past few weeks.

    1) Go Buy "Plain Yogurt" NON Flavored!

    2) Shower and clean face for the night and apply on face over red areas. (I put all over), Make a mask. It will dry in 20 minutes or so.

    3) Rinse over sink or tub with warm water.

    4) add moisturizer if needed. Do it every night !

Stopped all flaking and 95% of redness for me.

    Google it!

  • I've had it for over 25 yrs, I would suggest never to use the cortizone creams longterm, only short term. Long term they will make it worse.

  • can it ever go away for good?? :(

  • I feel your pain. I have a combination of Seborrheic Dermatitis AND Rosacea. It is definitely no fun. It started when I was around 16 years old I am 25 now and it comes and goes but 90% of the time it is present on my face. If I am lucky I have one really good day out of the entire month where my skin looks normal. I am somewhat relieved that it isn't just because of my red hair and fair skin, either way I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. Keep up the good fight.

  • hi idk if u recall massagin u but i ended covered 90% of my body I'm now seeing a specialist and helping

  • I take a shower and wash my face so that i get rid of the dry skin, then after I apply nivea cream all over my face. It's in a really big blue jar. My face will stay red but the dry skin wont appear till the next day.

  • I have that all on my face it's done quite a bit of damage, mine is far worse though **sad face**. Sometimes it can leave light spots from where my skin flared up and broke out (when you're dark skin it shows bad) and sometimes it leaves dark spots. Thank God for make-up. I'm not too fond of steroid shots and all of these medicated shots too many bad reviews of after affects I'm pretty clueless right now. Been able to manage it the best I could for 13 years though, still a pain in the ass.

  • I have the same problem too, it's so embarrassing coz it happens during school, and it sux Im gonna go look at more of the comments for help. Mine is almost as bad as what he has.. If anyone knows what works rly well I wud love to know. I thought it was just me who had this problem till I searched around

  • I've had this for years. Ketoconazole helps pretty good but I have to keep using it or it comes back within a few days to a week. I am attempting to try the raw honey remedy, just started today.

  • Interesting, I got a red dime size rash 1 inch below my eye.About 2 months now. This helps a little.

  • @EenterE i had the same thing like you lol it went away after like 2 months

  • I should add that vitamin E works well, given that you re-apply it a few times furing the day; also apply water to your face and pat dry it before applying each time.

However, it will not work as well as Elidel which seems to make it dissapear minutes after applying, and lasts the entire day until you shower it off.

Still, I reccomend you try vitamin E because it is safe, and it can hide reasonably well. Vit E = some redness, no flaking. Elidel = no redness, no flaking, lasts longer.

  • Elidel works the best to control this.

It goes away completely for the entire day.

However it has been found to cause cancer, since the reason it works is by weakening the immune system. Since this condition is due, at least in part, to an overactive immune system which has declare war on your skin in certain areas.

I find a safer alternative is to use vitamin E on the skin after your shower. The problem with this, you will need to re-apply it a few times during the day. But it works.

  • I have had the same problem for a number of years but at the side of my nose on either side.

After doing some extensive research... a great product to try is Nizoral its an anti dandruff shampoo but can be applied to the face. It works wonders!! After washing my face with Nizoral I apply 100% Aloe Vera gel. Hope this helps.

  • I quit using steroids a while back, they only work for a little while and the downsides outweigh the temporary upsides a lot. Nowadays I use avocado oil (applied directly to the skin) and it seems to work wonders for me. I can't guarantee it'll work for everyone, but it's certainly a lot better than risking thinning the skin.

  • Hi there i get the same around my nose and just under my eyes. Is it curable and what is the best treatment? I seem to get it at least once a week,

  • I have always wondered what it is on my face,my dermatologist told me psoriasis does not form on the face,I was given a corticosteroid called FLUTICASONE PROPIONATE,it clears it up completely, but you have to switch between two different types,if not it will thin the face on the applied areas,I highly suggest using it,it is the only thing that has ever worked for me,definitely check it out!!

  • Finally, SD is VERY common [a major symptom actually] of those who're HIV+ ...99% of people with SD aren't HIV+! Not trying to scare anyone, but it is EXTREMELY COMMON among most HIV+ folks. And immunosuppressants like Protopic or Elidel can't be used for obvious reasons.

  • @dingleberry1989 So is a cold, fever, cough, gi tract problem rashes etc

  • @dingleberry1989 Yeah I have SD on my face that comes & goes. I use to panic that it was HIV since im a basket case with with a major Panic/Anxiety disorder.lol

  • Also antifungal and mild steroid creams. Facial skin is quite thin so only mild steroids can be used, to avoid thinning the skin.

If SD or other types of eczema/dermatitis are more severe or persistent, there're other excellent prescription drugs available that I guarantee will clear it up very quickly. 1) DermaSmooth is a brand name prescription scalp oil that cleared mine up completely in 48hrs. 2) Protopic+Elidel are immunosuppressant creams/ointments that will clear ANYTHING up.

  • SD is VERY common, especially in men. It occurs on oily skin areas. Even though it looks like dry skin, it's actually a result of oily skin. It's believed a common type of yeast found on the skin is involved. For some reason, people with SD develop an allergy-like reaction to this yeast. Most likely, it's an auto-immune response.

Using OTC dandruff shampoos on the face and scalp works well for most people with mild SD. Prescription strength shampoos work better.

  • those red spots...annoying as hell, really. although its not itchy at all but it looks bad..of all places why face dammit. my friends tells me why am i "blushing". the doctor only advise me to put petroleum jelly on it. seems like i also have it on my scalp like sort of dandruff hehe good thing buzzcut and crew cut isn't my hairstyle. hey, is it ok to use antifungal soaps like Katialis if anyone of you are familiar with that brand? tnx ^_^

  • @darkskyBAO - I would never put petroleum based oils on my face for this. It would probably make it worse.

  • I have this condition. I wash

My hair/ skin with head and shoulders. My dr advised me to leave the shampoo on my scalp face for 25 minutes undiluted. Something about the pyrithione ( prob spelled it wrong) zinc. And do not put any oil on my scalp. This has worked exceptional for me for over 5 years.....

  • I have the same thing steroid creams are not good for the skin so what u r using is not good but if u do use it only use it for short term use. I have had it for about a month now and it has improved a little bit. my new doctor prescribed me elidel i havent tried it yet but its not a steroid so it should be much better..things that bring this on can sometimes be cold weather.. u can also try laser treatment which i might do if it doesnt improve btw did it get any better or go away?

  • Try to find BLACK CUMIN SEED OIL!! You can usually order it online, the cream your doctor gave you is a steroid and wont help at all it will just thin out your skin, using those creams is just like putting make up over a bleeding cut wound!! All you need is a diet full of strong anti-oxidants and google BLACK CUMIN OIL its pretty much amazing !! :)P

  • @2serb4u Ketoconazole is NOT a steriod. It is an antifunal. Seb derm is thought to be caused by an overgrowth of yeast on the skin.

  • A month later, I went to see my doctor, and he told me what I had. His advice was to use Selsun Blue. I've been using it ever since. At one point I had stopped using selsun blue, and it spread to the area between my eyes, a bit above my eyebrows, and on to my cheek areas. If it gets really red, I'll use SelsunBlue for 3-4days and every other day for a week then stop. Once I feel itching sensations, i'll start to use it again.

  • Hello everyone. Well, I've had my Facial Seborrheic Dermatitis for about 10 years or so. I got it when I used to go surfing with my buddies. I came home from a surf session with a minor sunburn on my face, days later , a thin layer of skin started to peel, so i thought to myself, no biggie. Then I noticed it started to itch a lot around the sides of my nose. I couldn't help it, so I kept on scratching like anyone would do lol...cont...

  • I have the same problem. I had it worse than you, big time. So red and flaky around my nose and above my lip that I couldn't even smile, or bite into sandwiches without fear of it cracking and even bleeding. So...apple cider vinegar. Google it along with SD and treatment. It works. It really does. I've been using it for 5 years now.

  • Does anyone know if there is a link between seborrheic dermatitis and being overweight?

  • Do you drink a lot of soda ???

  • @soulardbill That is a good question, let's see what people say about how much soda they drink or sugar intake in general! I do not drink soda unless my stomach is sick and even then it's just sprite or ginger ale and only a little.

    I'm a firm believer in water!! :D

  • ...cont... in the comb and then after a few more days I was pulling way less dead skin off my scalp than I normally would be. I think I'm onto something. I think the MMS is killing fungus/candida inside me. I've already read that people shed more after taking it at first then it backs off. The standard protocol is 2-3 drops of activated MMS every 2 hours.Read up more on your own. Visit curezone . com and search for it there. Jim Humble is the man who pioneered it mostly to treat malaria.

  • ...continued. It creates chlorine dioxide in your system and kills pathogens, bacteria and fungus/yeasts, which I believe have something to do with SD. I have only been taking a few drops of it for about 2 weeks off and on and I have already noticed a significant reduction of scaling especially on my scalp. After using it for 3 days I started flaking like mad on my scalp and I always use a fine toothed comb in the shower to help exfoliate my scalp. I was pulling lots of the skin off...cont...

  • I think I may have a possible treatment/cure for SB, I'm self-diagnosed and have had it since early teens. I'm 31 now and have been trying to eat better and supplement with various things. I have also dabbled with cleaning up my system, I haven't done a liver cleanse yet but it's on my todo list. Anyway, I wanted to let you guys know about something called MMS. It may sound like it's snakeoil but if you read up on it's actions in the body it makes sense why you'd want to use it. ...continued...

  • @fetymann Your three posts (or 1 really long one) were very informative, thanks a bunch!!

  • i wish my skin actually looked like yours right now, mine is really bad, its in all the same areas as yours except mine is also on the whole of my eyesbrows, it flakes badly, hurts, goes red, what doesn't flake goes to really rough skin, not matter how much moistuiser i use it won't work, iv had 3 diffferent creams and pills and nothing has worked. iv had it since i was 14, i am now 17, almost 18 and its just getting worse.

  • How many of you fellow Seb Dermatitis sufferers were breast fed as babies? I was only breast fed for one day due to my mum developing an infection , was wondering if not being breast fed could be a cause of Seb Dermatitis

  • @peekay1984 That could be an interesting connection, let's hear it everyone! I think I was until I was 1 and a half but I would have to check.

  • @RDKamikaze yeah I was just reading that a large percentage of HIV positive people suffer from SD , supposedly as HIV weakens the immune system , that's where the breast milk comes in , contains antibodies which strengthen and develop the immune system for life , but still it doesn't explain why SD appeared in my case , at age 13 , the only thing that REALLY helped for me and essentially "cured" me for about 3months was the drug "Accutane" , so I guess skin oil is a factor

  • @peekay1984 - don't take them drugs.

Just go buy some natural "plain yogurt", its cheap and a small cup goes a long way.

Take a shower with mild soap if anything.

Dry and put plain yogurt on your face. like a mask. It will dry in about 20 minutes.

Rinse with warm water. Put a light moisturizer if needed.

    Do this everyday.

Yogurt has Zinc in it and other natural stuff that stop the flaking. It worked for me.

  • @peekay1984 I have this and I think I was never breast fed as a kid

  • @machak09 - It doesn't matter.

  • @peekay1984 I was adopted so yeah I probably wasn't breastfed for long at all.

  • @peekay1984 i have dermatitis i was breast fed for 5 years so i doubt thats the reason

  • i had it for over 20 years. it is good you are doing this . your derm is right. it is seborrheic dermatitis you are saying it wrong. i have it on my chin .upper lip. side of nose. and both eye browes. do you have a existing disease. your derm should tell you that you have to shower everyday and that it won't go away .you can only control it . i would like to talk to you on the phone as i have had it for 20 years so you don't make the mistakes i diid

  • @wardwilliam123456 i'm interested in the mistakes, please can you tell us more?

  • Had this for about four years now. There is no real, consistent treatment for it in a medical sense. Somethings work, somethings don't, for different people and at different times. What works for awhile usually stops eventually, for instance. The best treatment, IMO, is to simply not touch or mess with it and to keep your stress levels low.

  • hi everyone, i have been suffering from seborreich dermatites for years, now i m using this fantastic natural cream called champori. This is the best cream, it really work for me, it is all natural and start to work after the first time used. It reduce the redness and after 3 days it is all gone, surely i apply everytime i need to, but i never had a reaccurance since i bought the cream.

i hope it ll work for you

  • hi

  • At least your eyebrows arent falling out like mine. Swear this is the worst shit that has happened to me.

  • @SkankinLozer Do you have it any other place besides your eyebrows?

  • @linevan15 No just on my eyebrows. Been using sumaxin ts face wash and it helped a lot, but still have to worry if my eyebrows are flakey or not.

  • Comment removed

  • @linevan15 Now can you see the flakes pretty well when you stand in front of a mirror? I think have this too and it's been causing so much brow loss but I can't see the flakes unless I use a magnifying mirror or stand VERY close to the mirror. I am trying to self diagnose as I can't afford to go to a derm right now. Also, is it on the skin around your brows too or just within the brows? Thanx

  • Comment removed

  • @linevan15 . i think you might just have the early signs of it, seeing as you said you can only see the flakes when you look closely. you should go get ti checked out before it gets worse buddy. see a doctor?:). it can be around the brows and within it. hope this helps.

  • So how is it now?

    I think I have this....and Blepharitis...

I tihnk the only cure for both of these would be a shot gun no?

  • @Harrysound It's doing great!! I just rub with Head and Shoulders every day and add a little cocoa butter when it gets more flaky and it goes away for at least a week :)

Please don't kill yourself, that's not fun! A shotgun is only good for killing birds and when drunk politicians shoot their friends on "accident" in the face (sound familiar?).

  • @RDKamikaze hello i wash my face with head n shoulders almost everyday but i apply it all over my face for a lasting effect remenber the "infection" is all over (under) your skin even if it doesn't show any symtoms.ITS been almost a year since i started using HnS and it's never reappear. And another positiv effect is that HS keeps my oily skin well balanced! (oily skin n SD its not a good combo) so i recomend it to use it all over your face not only in the affected areas.

  • You're the silliest motherfucker I've ever seen. :)

I have seborrheic dermatitis on the scalp, and christ, I'm greeted with accumulated lumps of dead, greasy skin cells and a burst of yellow flakes.

I found that soaking it with apple cider vinegar mixed with tea tree oil (I didn't dilute either) makes the area sting a bit, but clears any flaking for the next 2-4 days. :)

The only bad part about it is the smell being absorbed by my hair, but in your case the smell wouldn't be so bad.

  • You might want to try a cream with Calendula in it. unless you have hayfever allergies. There is a cream by a company called California baby calendula cream it says it's good for SD. I believe that I have SD on my forehead & nose and mouth. I am looking for something to heal it as I have no money for a derm. I hear that dilluted tea tree oil might also help this condition. You might also want to look into diet changes, ex, cut out dairy, or gluten or a lot of sugars. Good luck!

  • I am self-diagnosed with SD due to not having health insurance. I would like to avoid going to a dermatologist to prevent spending a ton of money for a confirmation of something I know I have. I've been applying aloe, hydrocortisone cream, the cocoa butter stick, and I've been using T-Gel, but it just isn't helping it completely disappear. My question: What is the gm (?) associated with your script? I.E., 30gm or 15gm? There's some places to get it online without a prescription. Thanks!

  • @joshuatylerharrison My prescription was for the 2% Ketoconazole cream which can be had by prescription only (some online places may do it) and it wasn't for any amount in particular, just enough to be rubbed into and absorbed by the area twice a day. I used mine for only the first week as mentioned in the video and it helped get the initial flaking and redness away while I experimented with the long-term fixes like Head and Shoulders (I REALLY recommend this), cocoa butter cream, etc.

  • @joshuatylerharrison wash your face with green tea apple cider vinegar and spring water mixed together and then apply organic coconut oil as a mosturizer but it also heals the facial dermitis that you have. I boiled one cup of spring water then i placed a bigelow green tea bag in the warm water like i would do to make tea to drink. then i added 1 cup of apple cider vinegar i mixed it together then i poured it in an empty snapple ice tea bottle shook it hard then applied it. with a cotton ball,

  • @tttheresa7 Your Crazy! But, I will try it, since I am a desperate dermatitii :O)

  • Hey men... im waiting your second video

  • i used 2% ketoconazole cream on my nose and now it damaged the skin and leaves a scar....i stopped using the stupid cream...

  • @dumbman2006 THIS IS INTERESTING; KAMZKAZI, DID YOU HAVE THIS ISSUE TOO?

  • I've been living with SD for years. I'm a 46 yr old woman. I got it in my early 20's. I just love your video b/c you are so sweet and b/c you are showing it w/o shame. I dealt with real shame, and had nightmares about it. I am over that. I don't stay on top of it like I should. I have it in my eyebrows, forehead, hair line, and scalp mostly. The itching and flaking is the worst part. I've used lots of products and prescriptions; I've found over the years that switching around helps.

  • I think it is linked to androgen as I have tried elimination diets and the condition never improves. I use nothing from the doctor as greasy ointments make it worse. Nizoral dosen't help in the slightest. In the past I've considered uvb treatment but was concerned about the cancer risks.

  • @separatesix Howdy, what is "androgen"? Is that like being part male and part female? I am gay, but I am very male, and am 37 and now have this sd thing going on. Are you saying this is the female side of me coming out or androgyny gene affecting my skin somehow? What has giving you the most help with this s.d.? Any routings? I have been putting on palmer's cocoa butter formula at night before bed, it works moderately, but I think it's apart of the rubbing in that takes the flakes off?

  • @Ahkinum Androgen is a male hormone so I woulden't worry! some women may have small amounts of it though. I've never found doctors helpful with seborrheic dermatitis or any supplements or diets, however I want to get puva it's like a light treatment for skin conditions. I don't want to worry you but get tested for hiv in order to rule out that cause of seborrheic dermatitis.

  • @separatesix

Why androgens specifically? Im curious because Im a girl with too much androgens ( i know i know embarrassing!) and im taking medicine to lower my androgens.

  • @stormysmurf I've come to that conclusion as no treatment for seborrheic dermatitis has ever helped. I know how distressing this condition is it's very itchy and sore when I'm at work and I hate the look of it. I'm considering getting a course of uvb light treatment at the hospital I'm concerned though about the risks of skin cancer. I've heard some patients say it's the only relief they've found.

I'm so fed up at the way people judge me for having this skin disease I'll take the risk.

  • @separatesix

    Did you try honey?

  • I've had it since 1999 and can't get it under control, unless someone has it they don't realize how itchy it is I work in the public eye and find the condition distressing.

  • I hope this is only temporary for you Kamikaze, I've had Seb Derm for over 15 years. After hundreds of treatment variations this is what works for me: Use Nizoral otc shampoo once a week (I do it on Sundays) on hair, eyebrows and even all over your face, then use Purpose gentle skin cleanser to wash off your face, baby shampoo to wash out the eyebrows and then regular shampoo to wash out the hair; for the rest of the week I use a reg. shampoo every day, purpose cleanser every morning. Good luck!

  • Im going to give you a link to a product you should try. I suspect I may have seborrheic dermatits as well (redness at eyes nose[in between cheeks and nose and below lip]. I have not been to a doctor or dermatologist but I have spoke to a Pharmacist at CVS drugstores. She suggested Lac-Hydrin Five.

  • I have S.D. I have gone to a couple of dermatologist who have not given me anything that works, when I found my current derm she gave me a Rx for (Plexion pads & Locoid Creme) it instantly cleared up if u cant get a Rx get (Aveeno Positively Radiant cleansing pads) then layer with aveeno ultra calming moisturizer

  • Hi, Im from Texas. Here I tried all dandruff shampoos but non work for me. Since I live 3 hrs. from the border Igo very often to mexico, any ways there I found selsun oro anti dandruff shampoo, within 2 days the flakes were gone. Know I used it for 2 years and no flakes. Its made in the U.S. but they only sell it in mexico. It works!

  • I have the same thing and I never knew what it was until I saw this!

Mine started the same as yours, around the bridge of the nose and under the eyes. It has since spreaded to my chin under my beard and along the left side of my face. I know what you mean by it being demoralizing. One time I was late for work and didn't have time to wash my face and I get to work and my face was peeling and I had no idea. It was so embarrassing.

  • @oconano I understand completely. This sd just started happening to me, 37, around my t-zone, around my eyes, parts of forehead, in my chin-hair area, mustache area, and sides of nose. If I don't do anything for 2 days, the flaking starts going crazy. Regular lotions make it worst for me, they make the flakes float on the skin without removing them. Teatree oil did not work for me, just smelt me up. Rubbing my face with my fingers after shower work ok, but made my face red, but some washedoff

  • Another thing that I found that helped with mine, soothed red angry skin and just generally seem to make the pain go away, was raw honey. Not the fake stuff, but the real deal. You can find it in health food stores. Its kinda annoying to have on your face, but it definitely helped me, especially during the peely flaky part. If you research honey, youll learn it has all kinds of amazing healing properties.

  • @stormysmurf Wow, thanks for that bit of advice!! That is a great natural alternative to burning sensations, just make sure you don't hang out with the bees after applying! :-o

  • @stormysmurf Howdy stormysmurf, I can't stand being sticky, but if it helps with this weird flaking thing, I will consider it. Question: do you know what the ingredient listed on the bottle is, so we can determine which honey we are buying? If the main ingredient is "Honey" or "100% honey" or a specific mix like "Clover"? What is/would be a fake honey ingredient we should use to know what not to buy for this awful dermatitis, thanks :O) I have been putting palmer's cocoa butter 100g formula

  • @Ahkinum Just 100% real honey. I purchased my bottle from a hivery near by, but you can find 100 % honey in health foods stores. Ingredients wise, its just honey! bees make honey, so go ask them what they put in it! As far as clover honey and other varieties, its only a reference to the type of flower the bees collected the pollen from. UPDATE: my SD is completely cleared up and now all I do is honey every 2-3 weeks and head and shoulders body/face scrub every now and then Yaaaay!

  • ur pretty

the closeup of ur gums was kinda gross though

but still...ur pretty & facial hair is hott =)

  • @SairManzanas Thanks! Sorry about the gum shot haha it was pretty random, but thanks for watching! :D

  • hey man how it looks like now?? can u give us an update please, im using the same cream 3 days ago

  • @Giomarsito Oh yeah, sorry aobut the update!! I'll make a video today and upload in a little bit, I've been programming for the last two weeks straight sorry.

I'm doing great though!! It probably won't come back until next year or so, since in my research most people report it being yearly when it goes away and comes back. We'll see though, next time I'm prepared to fight it right away! :D

  • thanks I think I have the same thing :(

  • so does that mean u use the aloe vera gel fruit of earth to cure it? and do u know a solution for dark circles:(

  • @pinksaphire100 I have no idea on the solution for dark circles, sorry. I used aloe vera gel and head and shoulders to cure the condition, but because it's going to come back later in life no matter what. It's chronic, that's what facial seborrheic dermatitis does :(

  • Hi I have the same problem you five years ago, until now control it with a diet of garlic (cooked), two in the afternoon and two more at night. To wash my hair normal use Garnier Fructis dandruff, just after try head and shoulders, ketokonazol, Nizoral, line, triatop.

No steroids, junk food, alcohol, smoking.

    Upload more videos.

  • dude you have like exactly the same condition as me !!! is there anyway i can contact you outside of youtube ??

    cheers

  • Great Video! I to suffer from Seborrheic Dermatitis. It's been about three years now and my problem is almost gone. My regular doctor gave me this cream that wasn't all that strong. I then started using Cortaid with Sarna. I get a little of both (and i mean very little) and apply it where i have the redness. Ive been using that for over 6 months and i havent had any redness or flakes on my face. I know that Cortaid isn't 2 good for ur skin so im gona try what u said with the headnshoulders.

  • Ive heard that too much hydrocortizone cream can thin out your skin...

  • @josh4380 Yes, I have heard that too because it has steroids in it. That's why my solution for this problem was really easy and super cheap!!

Solution (for me at least): Rub some Head and Shoulders shampoo on locations of the problem and let it sit for about 30-45 seconds until you feel a cooling effect. Simple solution, uses just a little shampoo, and the problem goes away after about a week and a half!! Since it's dry here, I once a week add a little Curel lotion as well after :)

  • Hey. I recenty was diagnoised with this too. Although my skin didn't flake up as much as , it's more wide spread. I'm on the hydrocortozone cream (it's called hydrozole in Australia), and it's improved. But I wouldnt say it's gone away! Have you experienced any difficulty buying your cream? Every time I do (I've bought it about three times) the pharmacists ask me heaps of questions! I asked the doctor if it was ok to use it for a long time, he said it was fine...

  • @andorumaruchinezu I only purchased my cream once and had no problem because of my prescription paper I was given. However, I stopped sing the cream about a week ago because I started doing this solution (and it worked great!);

    1. Buy Head and Shoulders sampoo

    2. When showering, wash hair with Head and Shoulders

    3. Also rub Head and Shoulders on facial (or body) dandruff places

    4. Let sit for about 30-50 seconds (until the spots feel cooled down)

    5. Wash off

    6. Repeat daily

    That's what I did!!

  • Hi, i have had the same thing on the side of my nose now for months, its a bloody nightmare, one thing i found that stops the flaking and itching is Aveeno, its so moisterising i love it, i apply a thick layer every morn and night and its awesome, they now have an anti itch one with hydrocortizone which is meant to be good as well but to be honest the intense relief cream with oats is just fanastic :)

  • Hi I just want to say I have the same issues and I went to a dermatologist and gave me the same lotion and gave me two shot to stop me from itching. I constantly flake and if I remove it , it burns Its more on my T-ZONE now it is around my hair line and on my leg and left fore arm too.. This sucks...I am thinking to get into natural products... see how it works....

  • @liza361 Thank you for letting me know your situation!! I have been putting on the hydrocortozone (or whatever it is) cream four times a day for about 4 days and then twice a day since this video and man, it's all but gone (for right now)!!

As for a natural solution, look at my description. Head and Shoulders rubbed onto spots while showering (or T-Gel) and then applying 100% aloe vera gel onto spots when you get out is something I'm going to try today. If others recommend it, it must work!!
