This book was absolutely compelling from beginning to end. The story is beautifully written. Emotionally powerful. I have also read 'A Thousand Splendid Suns' and it is just as emotionally gripping. Both boys in this movie are very adorable. Amir, coward at the beginning, hero at the end. Redemption. The movie never does the book justice. That's why it's always better to read the book first, then watch the movie. I wonder if there will ever be a movie based on 'A Thousand Splendid Suns'. I hope
