  • "The one and only time I will ever get my heart broken because once it happens once really good you never let it happen again." - Conor Oberst :)

  • The Calander hung Itself!

  • anyone know what the song was?

  • oldsoulsongfornewworldorder

  • why is he so wonderfullllllllll

  • ah, conor. he's like broken glass and i just want to put the pieces back together...

  • amazing!

  • ALLOW ME TO CLARIFY: IT'S THE CALENDAR HUNG ITSELF.

this was confusing me shyteless because there's people saying they were there and giving different answers as to what song it is, but if you listen very closely to the audience at 0:20 you will hear "play the calendar hung itself." I listened to it probably 23 times and I am sure, he is not saying june on the west coast. that's the only way to figure it out unless you were really there.

  • you are right...

  • thank you.

  • ok! i know thats right. i will never let it happen again

  • :]

    conor

  • KNARFFFFF Conner you speak to Knarf in ways Knarf did not think possible

  • ????

  • you can hear the guy ask for calendar

  • this is calendar.

the video where he's about to sing june on the west coast is 'guitar lesson'

  • Heh, sounds like the opening to "NYC Gone Gone" to me.

  • haha right? But no this is an old set, it is the calendar hung itself.

  • I was about to say that :P

  • It has to be Calander, it's the only one that begins like that. But all this talk about June on the West Coast makes me wanna hear it live...haha! Thank god he's coming home in 13 days!!!!!!!!

  • i'm pretty sure its the calendar that hung itself cause it starts off with bass drum like that

  • Ol' Conor trying to be like Elliott Smith :)

  • hahaha yeah!" new song? old song?" omaha kids. jeez.

  • Sorry to correct, but I was at this show, and Digital Ash had just come out a few months before it. He played very little from it at this show though.

  • what song is he about to play?

  • I am 100% sure it is calendar... I was there, this is my favorite song, and it's how he lead into it.

Besides, he did June on the West Coast as an encore, and he did it by himself acoustic.

  • calendar

there arent any drums in june

  • it is calander yes. this isn't even close tobeing june on the west coast, before playing june he gives a "guitar lesson" look it up on youtube.

    -conor

  • yeah june on the west coast seems right.

  • youre all a bunch of fuckin idiots. its not calendar. it is june on the west coast. i was at the show. the drummer was just hitting the kick drum because thats what drummers do when they arent playing a song or people are clapping or something. it wasnt part of the song.

  • it is june on the west coast i was there too and if you watch the guitar lesson video he says someone asked for this song. in this video he says alright a request i can actually fulfill when a fan tells him to play it.

  • what song was he going to play??

  • there is no drumming in 'june on the west coast' and 'take it easy' is played with an electric guitar...so its likely 'calendar hung itself'

  • UH take it easy? No. At the end they clearly start to play the calendar hung itself...

  • though Calendar Hung itself is a good guess, let me throw another out there...how about Take It Easy (Love Nothing)?

  • yeah the calnder hung itself makes sense. june on the west coast kinda does. but in the calender hung it self, it just seems more obviously about heartache. i guess.

  • i rekon it was the calendar hung itself 2

  • its weird. I love and hate conor oberst. I don't really know how to say it, but I am a Bright Eyes fan/Bright Eyes hater. I like some of his beliefs, like anti clearchannel/corporations. But it makes me mad that When the President Talks to God was such a huge success. It wasn't a very good song, it was just a protest song so tahts why it got big. But whatever.

  • You're totally right. What U.S. citizens (musicians, seamstresses, machinists or what-have-you) think makes no difference to Bush.

That's the problem! Thanks for clarifying.

  • so can u clarify for all of us and tell us what song he is about to play?

  • @PinkMoon5000 Well PinkMoon, been a while since you posted, but typically musicians travel the world and see every day people. They know what America and the world should be, so usually they have a pretty good idea if our politics are good or bad. It's obvious George W. Bush was awful.

  • I honestly thought that when the president talks to god was one of his best songs. It was catchy and good sounding in my opinion.

  • yeah, this definitely sounds like it was the calendar hung itself.

  • it kind of sounded like the beginning of the calendar hung itself.

  • man conor is soo sexy even wen he tries not to be

  • yeah he played june on the west coast i was there he did this then he gave the little "guitar lesson" it took him like 10 minutes to get in to the song.

  • theres like no way heplayed june on the west coast. becuase he played that later in the set. the video is on here. yeah. so what song did he play dangittt! lol

  • yea...what song was it? o, conor.

  • he played june on the west coast.

  • what song is it?

  • how is conor so amazing?
