  • i was wondering ...do u have pple to hang out with in japan??

  • I am planing to go out to Japan for school an i was wondering about the music i am a metal fan.

  • XD how ur constantly looking around to make sure no one is staring in the vids

  • Lovin' the videos, just curious though... what's the name of the song playing in the background? I know I've heard it somewhere but can't recall the name...

  • @KillDroneo Kodachrome, by Simon and Garfunkel. :)

  • Yes I am back! Still watching videos. Yeah.. ah! Swinging. Takes me back to simpler times.

  • O man, look at the smooth sideways move on the swing

You can tell he's done thát before

  • ..and tofu. Oooh, it's like pudding, but it's not....delicious.

Lol I like hearing your comments about every little thing. Also, don't you ever get self-conscious about talking to a video camera all by yourself in public? Or is that a normal sight to see in Japan?

  • this is one of my favs, funny ass grown men in a park.

i know it seems odd to americans. wonder if the kids are like, why is there sweat all over the damn slide.

  • Question for Mr Cooney

If people are exercising on their lunch

Do you every see people in really great shape?

All ripped and chiseled out of granite?

Every Japanese person I've ever seen (New York City) have a fairly doughy posture

When you go the the beach there, any muscleheads?

  • Ive seen many of your videos - loved them ALL - your so cute and funny - and videos really informative of the real japan living :) are u really single - just a question - from bangkok

  • Bangkok? bad idea dude!

  • thx alot cooney, I like your video very much)

  • ummmm ... I fust thought of something .... if you get hurt and need serious medical attention ... what number do you call? because it is 911 over here but what about Japan?

  • Silly as it seems... the number is 119

  • Oh shoot ... I didnt think you would answer ... ummmm ... thanks a lot!!!

  • In Brazil it's 091

  • Isn't it 110?

  • @tokyocooney oh the irony...

  • It's really cool how you are showing the Real Japan. Loving your vids. I'm thinking on moving to Japan for a year or so. This vids are actually really helpful. I'm from London so i want to know if it's gonna be hard for me to settle down.

  • Ha, yea I'd opt for the swingset too, swinging is fun.

  • lol im not going to lie. you looked like micheal jackson on that swing

  • hahaha i just noticed !!! you shaved your beared XD hahahah im slow wth thanks for the vids

  • that's why the videos are cool. i thought cooney was a little odd at first, but i like these vids. i have to say it's cool that they exercise at lunch w work clothes...in america we're so friggin uptight about having the right sportswear, brand name this, brand name that, all such showbiz. cool to see them destress how they are. we'd get more fresh air and enjoy ourselves if we could do that without feeling wierd.

  • No offense but, you're like me, a small child inside.

Also I love being Japanese >:3

  • Are you Japanese? or on the inside? sorry, your statement isn't clear!

  • I'm 12 actually lol yes I'm 50% Japanese.

  • Thanks for the videos, its' really educational.

  • when you id this is where the old men jump around on the swing set i laughed ...haha that is bazarre

  • aww ur welcome cooney!

  • are you a japanese citizen? are you planning on living there for a long time?

  • check the date on the video guy :) posted in 2006, so ya, he's staying and no. Check out some of his other vids, talks about getting a visa and getting his own renewed.

  • lol

  • haha the guy stretching XD

  • xD

    Hahahahaha.

    half naked business dudes.

    they gotta excercise, man. :)

  • No Lotteria eh? Ya can't beat a Korean franchise in Japan that uses a koala as their mascot.

  • haha. "its like pudding... but its not delicious"

  • do you ever hear people talking about you in japanese. lol

  • FYI, to make the video normal size, add: &fmt=18 to the end of the url. By the way the videos are awesome, thanks for these and all of them.

  • that lunch looked nasty

  • soybeans....yuk

  • hehe ya video blogs are liek crack, the more i watch, the more i want to c o.o

  • i love tokyo japan. its awsome with all the latest things that america wont have in years-yaaaaaaaaay. lol

  • i like tofu...

  • yea man. i love your videos, i love japan and japanese culture and i want to go there myself. after all my years of being a youtuber you are the first person i have subscribed for. what do you do as an occupation in japan?

  • Don't you get lonely? A friend of mine lived there for a couple of years and said he came back home because he "wanted to walk where someone's umbrella wasn't up his ass". He said his pick-up line roughly translated as "don't run away, I'm nice". I told him that has to be better than the pick-up lines in America; "I don't live at home and I have steady job." :) Love your vids!!!

  • man your videos they are very cool, i like the culture nipon and your videos are funny and creative.

  • Oh yeah, sweaty Japanese business men with guts in the park...way to ruin my lunch break! ^_^

  • I just love when you're on the swing , the way you bend your legs to the left not to let them touch on the ground.XD

Anyway, I love your videos ! I wish I could go to Japan one day~

You can even listen to concerts for free when they take part at the openair concert hall.

  • OMG!!!!!!! IVE BEEN THERE!!!!

  • It's meant to look like a Japanese flag.

  • it's like pudding but it's not delicious. xD

  • awesome videos.

keep up the good music choices.

  • i was pleasantly surprised by the parks in tokyo.. and if you need a break you can also try the cemeteries (such as yanaka) or even a shrine can give you a quick dose of rejuvenation.

  • hate umeboshi in my bento -.-

  • Yummy Yummy Bento

  • ur videos are god damn good

think im going as a tourit some day

  • seriously just DONT STOP MAKING THESE its just too fun keep it up!

  • nice vid.,., keep it up

  • yeah.."fascinating"...lol thx for these posts , i'm enjoying them a lot

  • haha so amusing i love how after you see those men working out shirtless on a playground ur like: hmm .. im guna swing .. a little .. and jump off! whoo! haha thnks for the vids

  • Move over Muscle Beach, there's a new sexy in town!

    Lotsa ♥ from Cali.

  • Now that's insightful. Gotta say though, tofu had always interested me, there's just something alluring about bean curd.. After trying it though I don't think I could ever touch that stuff again.

  • cool

  • "tofu..it's like pudding, but it's not delicous." Excellent. Nay--sexcellent.

  • this was interesting and funny.

  • You've got a great sense of humor. Nice video.

  • xD Well, I always comment.

But, it's interesting to see the differences here and there, I mean, if you saw a grown man chilling at the park like that someone would call the cops and hide their kids. Just because America is so crazy.:s Keep it up! As always :VV

  • ahhh, keep it up man, these videos are awesome!

  • Wow! Tetsubo club huh? Have to check them out on my next lunchbreak since I work down there. Great stuff, keep it com'in.

  • Now, do you think itd be more of a culture shock going to Japan after being in Amercia, or the other way around?

  • Personally I'd have a harder time going back home then it was coming here as I'd expected it would be different living in Japan. But going "home" and feeling out of place is a real mind bender.

  • yeah.

Was asking because someone else i knew said that it was more of a 'culture' shock going back to the US from there than the other way around.

  • Daaaaaaaamn! This is great!

  • You should definitely start club. Buranko club. And you can have an intra-park rivalry. The Tetsubos vs The Burankos.

Yes, I've noticed that you've gotten a lot more fans lately. Congrats!

  • hahahahaha, seeing those men working out was funny.

  • that was strange

  • I'd hate to be one of their co-workers when they get back from their lunch break/exercise session...But you never know...who's to say they don't wash up after their work outs...although, like you said, the smells going to stay in their clothes for the rest of the day LOL.

  • Hee! Fun to watch, as always Mr. Cooney. You rock my hardcore Blue Penguin Toe-socks.

  • Fried thing... and another fried thing... sounds interesting.

I've always wondered...what does tofu actually taste like?

In your lunch, it just looked like...butter. However, I bet it doesn't taste anything like that.

  • The first fried thing was a potato croquette with little shrimp in it and the second was a minced beef patty. As for tofu... when its real, fresh tofu is awsome... the tofu there was like a pencil eraser. Generally tofu back home is pasturized so it will last longer but it lacks any taste. It tastes like the color white.

  • Heh, "It's like pudding, but not delicious." And what's wrong with black socks? They're the only kind of sock I have, actually.

  • haha tetsubo club

  • Hey Cooney, great vid. I'd love to try one of those meals. How much are they ?

  • They range in price depending on whats in it... but they range from about 400 yen to more upscale 1000 yen range. But basically around 5-6 dollars is typical.

  • That paul simon song is sweet. I thought that guy that was upside-down was going to fall

  • whoa, u don't see men at the park doing that kinda stuff here in the U.S.... actually.. u don't see many men at the parks in the U.S.(atleast ones w/ monkey bars)

That guy did like 2 crunches and he stopped( exercise for the day, back to work)

One thing that both America and Japan have in common is that they like to fry things, lol. I guess that's why they both have McDonalds.

Good Job on the video, keep posting, c-ya!

  • cool parks

  • that was kinda... kinda hot. kinda.

  • aa, it was kinda nice this day, i remember lol.

  • I love these vids by Mr Cooney. Funny. Simple. Everyday stuff. We do appreciate you finding time to make them. Thanks.

  • another great video. On the upside, I am vacationing in Japan in the next few days, If you have shows coming up, can you tell me when/where so I can come see your show?

  • Cool... you are going to love Japan. There is info about the shows at our website "tokyocomedy.com"

  • Great job again, Cooney! The ending was hilarious; you must have burned off all the calories you consumed from your lunch, hahah.

I still can't believe those salarymen exercised like that during their lunch breaks... I mean some of them looked like they were training for Beijing 2008!
