Very true. A lot of SF fans don't know that Sagat nearly beat Ryu into unconciousness. When Sagat attempted to help Ryu to his feet, he used the Metsu-Shoryuken on Sagat. So...that means Sagat whooped that ass and Ryu took a cheapshot. I am a Ryu fan by the way.

@neobogard Is for every SF Fan, that Sagat was a very powerful, but honorable warrior, even was able to defeat Ryu, but Ryu´s desire to win awake the Satsui no Hadou an strike him whith Metsu Shouryuken, that causes Sagat to:

Create the Tiger Uppercut,

Join Shadaloo to be able to fight Ryu once more (THATS WHEN HE BECOME A BAD DUDE)

And to lose his title of Muay Thai God to Adon.

in SF4 ryu used metsu hadouken , which is his dark power used to the max (even after trying to not use he dark hadou), but in the final of SF4 his power is sealed by gouken, which proves why in 3rd strike (wich is after SF4) there´s no evil ryu and he uses edge kick end denjin hadouken, gouken teached him these tenichs in order by not using the dark hadou anymore , the conlusion just in a possible SF5

I liked when you did the shun goku satsu with him and that symbol would appear if you finished someone in Capcom vs SNK...I also liked how turning his back became the victory pose as well instead of turning back around and doing another pose.

I speak and read Chinese characters which is identical to the Japanese kanji, that word can mean both destruction or annihilation. Except annihilation is much more severe damage than just destruction, which I think is more accurate because evil shows no mercy and they like to do more damage than necessary.

@Jegudiel29ZX Ryu's Ultras in SF4 involve him tapping into the same source of power that results in this version of him from SFA2 and 3... Metsu = Destruction, same symbol that appears on his back in the ending and when he does the Shungokusatsu in the Capcom vs. SNK games.

Ryu doesn't have the ability to supress his Killing Intent entirely until after SF4, so when he is desperate to win, the power awakens within him, i.e. when he beat Sagat in SF1, or when he uses an Ultra in SF4.

Shin means true, so "true ryu" is the good ryu, who fights for what he believes in. Shin Akuma means Akuma using the full extent of his power, instead of limiting himself against weaker opponents.
