Lips was heavily influenced by Nugent...especially in the early days. If you listen to old boots from 81 and 82 you can hear Ted's influence in Lips' extended guitar solos. But IMO...these guys take what he did farther........plus.....his influence is much less noticable in the 2nd album and on.....Anvil had/has their own sound.....better than Ted's IMO.
