@AGA151994 Im 19 he just told me he will support my decision of doing infantry in 3 years. and i see the big picture the first 3 years of my intel MOS is gonna be schooling. as soon as I switch to infantry i will be better trained have situational awareness etc etc. And i might take a leader role. For short i probly will be a more valued Infantryman
@IIIMAVER1CK no.they treat all grunts the same..out in country,its different. you wont know actual situational awareness and what not til you are actually in combat for the first time. they say you can train, but in 30 seconds anything can go wrong.
@AGA151994 I agree with you but as an intel analyst you learn everything about the enemy which routes you shouldnt go what tactics they deploy etc etc. u have to admit Intel analyst recieve far more training than a infantry grunt. as intel they teach you more self discipline than discipline. and as intel you do field work as well. for example if you get attached to infantry or whatever you gain experience like this also. its all about knowing the enemy. That is what Intel is for.

@Carl2 yeah They are putting money in the intel jobs. pretty much if you do intel you have a career when you get out where you will be stuck doing infantry or when you get out you will be doing security jobs. (low wage)

Yeah im enlisting in the army too bad my dad is forcing me to do something besides infantry. But i will change my MOS in 2 years. fuck that i can do infantry just like everyone else. ALL it takes is plain obedience and and you dont have to think very much. but till then im gonna do intel analyst.

@AGA151994 Im 19 he just told me he will support my decision of doing infantry in 3 years. and i see the big picture the first 3 years of my intel MOS is gonna be schooling. as soon as I switch to infantry i will be better trained have situational awareness etc etc. And i might take a leader role. For short i probly will be a more valued Infantryman

@IIIMAVER1CK no.they treat all grunts the same..out in country,its different. you wont know actual situational awareness and what not til you are actually in combat for the first time. they say you can train, but in 30 seconds anything can go wrong.

@AGA151994 I agree with you but as an intel analyst you learn everything about the enemy which routes you shouldnt go what tactics they deploy etc etc. u have to admit Intel analyst recieve far more training than a infantry grunt. as intel they teach you more self discipline than discipline. and as intel you do field work as well. for example if you get attached to infantry or whatever you gain experience like this also. its all about knowing the enemy. That is what Intel is for.

With the ROEs,we cant fire unless the have a weapon..but you dont know if do or not til its late..ya know. the grunts i know complain intellagence is almost always wrong..the grunts that been fighting the enemy know enemy better..and thats big IF,its usually air force or navy that gets attached.

I do have a pair and i have a brain.

@him3zz That's cool! You should check out their YouTube channel, I think they covered some of BCT there. I think it's called "BenningTV". I'll give you a tip though, focus on building your cardio up. Of course you need some body muscles but you should definetely focus on cardio! And if you're already issued your boots. Make sure they are worn by the time you're in BCT.
