People think that Chael Sonnen figured out Silva in their fight. He didn't figure out anything. Silva had a rib injury and Sonnen was juiced on steroids. Silva will knock him out in the re-match.

I think if lombard shows Silva no respect and just attacks the way that Sonnen he did, he could win. If he fights like Okami and is afraid to exchange with him, he'll definetly lose. This would be an interesting fight for sure. I think Hector's judo would ultimately be too much for Silva to handle. The guy is built like a freight train. Silva is hard to knock out, but I wouldn't rule out that possibility with the way Lombard swings away. I would choose Lombard. He definitely has talent.

While Silva is much more technical in the stand up than Lombard, I also do see him picking Lombard apart and choosing his shots.

its not really about his judo or whatever when/if he fights silva.. distance is a bigger issue. u havta consider JUST how dynamic silva is. silvas been fighting the way he fights (dynamicly) for a while now. he knows his dynamic distance well. lombard is a fukin powerhouse tho.. but he telegraphs his punches... Not good against silva. can lombard beat silva? sure, hes of caliber to accomplish it. would he?.. i doubt it.

Lombard is amazing quick and is anything but a one-dimensional fighter. He definitely deserves a crack at the UFC but until he proves he can beat guys like Gegard Mousassi, there is no need to even mention his name in the same light as Anderson Silva. People think that Chael Sonnen figured out Silva in their fight. He didn't figure out anything. Silva had a rib injury and Sonnen was juiced on steroids. Silva will knock him out in the re-match.

This would be an interesting fight for sure. I think Hector's judo would ultimately be too much for Silva to handle. The guy is built like a freight train. Silva is hard to knock out, but I wouldn't rule out that possibility with the way Lombard swings away. I would choose Lombard. He definitely has talent.

If Lombard were to get close enough to Silva, I believe he can take him down and ultimately GnP him to a win. While Silva is much more technical in the stand up than Lombard, I also do see him picking Lombard apart and choosing his shots.

People diss this guy. But his hand speed top notch. He has knockout power. He could beat Silva. Though, I doubt it. He is really short and compact. I don't think he can go 4 to 5 rounds. He would do better fighting at 170 and loosing so much muscle. He is a better version of Thaigo Alves. Would to see him fight a world class wrestler Chael, Henderson...

Silva has fought top level competition and beat them all and Hector is fighting second rate fighters BUT Hector is still sick nasty I would like to see him in the UFC so he doesn't have to waste his time but in the UFC he would definitely take a couple loses he reminds me a lot of Vitor Belfort someone who would do well in the UFC but still lose to Anderson

@cullencooks I wouldn't necesarily say he couldn't beat Silva. Even though Hector is in a smaller organization, that doesnt mean he wouldn't win... If you've ever seen his fights, he completely dominates. I agree with you that the UFC does have a higher competition level than Bellator but not as drastic as youre making it out to be. I would love to see him in the UFC and it would be tough to say who would win in a fight. It'd be interesting to see him in a fight against someone of his caliber
