Put it this way, I didn't see Oasis giving their records sales to charity - Noel may have done the odd charity gig (e.g. Liverpool dockers) but it's pissing in the wind. In fact he's on record as saying he didn't want to give free albums out online (like radiohead) as HE wants the money!

@THthefirst every year noel plays for free for the teenage cancer trust Liam actually help set up a childrens home football team in 2006 buying kits and paying for boots ect I should know because it was my auntie who put the offer forward for him to help after meeting him and nicole on a charity visit to the home.I dont claim to know him personally but from the info i can gather they are active in charity and dont go shouting about it to the media unlike bono for example

@saintric Fair enough, but that's after they've made all their money. When they were at their peak, in the 1990s, they could have given millions away and still been very wealthy. The fact that they bought kits for a team is great, I'm not knocking it (and you're right that they don't shout about it) but come on, they're multi millionaires and so a grand here or there is peanuts. If they were serious, they'd do something more.

noel recorded bass and guitar in all standing on the shoulder of giants because a matter of contract (bonehead and paul mcguigan went away at the middle of it)...I think this is one of the greatest songs ever the lyrics are so amazing..I can't believe they didn't release it..oasis really rocks I love them so much..hope noel be back soon I can't think of a world without oasis..live forever
