  • thanks for posting this.I just learned this awesome solo on my guitar and i forgot the frets I have to hit.Anyway, good job on this, man!I liked it.

  • hey i know thats a les paul..... but what model is it? and whats that finish called? thanks man.

  • I hate that B string

  • Oh lord, everybody uses pentatonic..

  • @AHMADF93 If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

  • Is that a Robot Les Paul?

  • Have been searching for ever to find a video like this. Always having trouble with finding notes on the fredboard. Using octaves was one trick, but I figured out that if you slam a note and go three strings down ( with octaves ) and then three frets back you also get the same note. It's just math. This video helped me alot with playing arpeggio's.

  • this was the most helpful lesson I've run acrossed for helping memorizing the fretboard

  • yea you rock!!!!!............dan ny peace to all

  • Robot Guitar!

  • Thanks Neal, And I think that is my favorite guitar you have used.

  • awesome deal, neal!

  • Thanks, Neal! This is good advise and it is going to help a bunch.

  • Rock on Neal!!!

  • Great video!

My ol' brain is so clogged with useless information that these types of hints are enormously helpful! Now the interval lessons make more sense!! Thanks Neal!

  • Mine is too :P

    Glad I could help!

    Thanks!

    Neal :D

  • cool guitar and lesson, you should do a lesson on how to play scales so they dont sound like scales, or a lesson on like how to kno what chords sound good together other than the more common chords. thanks.

  • yes sweep picking please

  • 5*s you should do either tremelo or sweep picking

  • sweep picking would be a great thing to go over. i'm trying to learn it myself, and a video would be very nice. ^_^

  • I don't know the technique behind the licks like you just played. The one where you slide in, bend, hit some notes under the bend, release and slide back. Do you have any tips on how to learn them? Are they called anything? Thanks.

  • It's just a pentatonic lick in the Em scale, 12th fret. Check out lesson #11, this covers most of the lick That lesson is in Am Pent, 5th fret.

    Thanks for tuning in!

    ~Neal

    :D

  • Thanks! This is JUST what I needed. I could never figure out an easy way to memorize the fret board before, even though I knew how important it was.

  • Awesome video Neal! I can't believe it, I'd never realized that thing about the E and D strings, and A and G!!! 5*s!

  • 3rd

  • what? no comments yet? sweet riff btw neal

  • aren't there going to be any giveaways soon?
