Ueda did exceptionally well consider his age and experience. Beating hao shuai and RSM is not a joke. But ZJK is a class of his own.

its not like Ueda Jin is in Japan's top echelon of players. Mizutani, Kishikawa, and Matsudaira are a step above the rest at this point and have beaten the chinese in recent months.

There was a point in time when I would consider Matsudaira Kenta a top echelon player for coming so close to beating Ma Lin, but look at him lose 0-4 to Seo Hyun Deok in the early rounds and the poor performances that he's had in recent ITTF pro tours. That doesn't inspire much confidence. Of course, Mizutani is still at a pretty high level, but I think he's the only one consistently at a high level.
