I totally agree with stainedclass1974 - Slayer's earliest music was IMHO the best they ever did - isn't it always like that with every band? Look at Sepultura when they started. They were immensely brutal, even though they were extremely young :) For sure they are still like that but I love that sound when a band starts out, that fire in them, the ferocity of the love they have for their music \m/
@HippieConvoySeason I agree that World Painted Blood was a huge dissapointment. Yes, everything up to Seasons was good although I hated South of Heaven when it first came out. I think some of the albums after seasons had some good tunes on them. I really think they came back really hard with God Hates us All. I thought that was one of thier best albums in a long time. Hell Awaits and Reign in Blood are my faves and God Hates us All should not be ignored.
I would love to see Slayer bring back sounds from their early 80s music. South Of Heaven, Show No Mercy, Divine Intervention, and Early 80s sounds clashed together. That would be a good way for Slayer to cap their Career. World Painted Blood is good. Beauty Through Order, and Unit 731 are great!
