2012 world series phillies/bluejays with halladay winning it it in game seven for the phillies we will have our comeback against the bluejays and what be would better than halladay to win it for the phillies against his old team
@marco437 Haha fair enough...it was cheesy but damn catchy. They played these throughout the entire season/playoffs that year so after Joe hit the homer, we were waiting for the first commercial. Actually it was on the Jumbotron before it went to commercial but sure enough...lol
'93 may have been the better series overall, but '92, the Jays were not really expected to win. The 1992 series was probably the best. I wasn't young, I lived through it all from 1977. I was25 in '92, and home from school in 77 watching Opening Day on TV.
does anyone remember THAT catch by the AMAZING Robbie Alomar at 0:36? I remember watching that and thinking its a base hit but out of NO WHERE Alomar saves the day (Again)...
@mcbc4 When he was asked what play in his lifetime really "stood out" after being named to the Hall of Fame, he said that catch specifically. They were showing it on the jumbotron at the Skydome today over and over.
How come they rarely show the final out of the '92 series? That was a much bigger Jays win in '92, because they HAD to win. The second series win in '93 was just a bonus.
Well everyone knows that's the reason. My point is the 92 win was WAY more important because they HAD to win. The 93 win was more of a bonus and fun ride. 92 was definitely bigger.
@leafyutube I felt that 93 was bigger cos it was in Toronto..but then again, i was a little too young to understand what baseball was in 1992...1993 was bigger though because it really put Toronto on the baseball map, whereas a 1 off Series title would have appeared as a fluke to the rest of MLB
I totally disagree. '92 was incredibly tense. They absolutely had to win. '93 was more of a fun ride. Unlike you, I was NOT young and actually lived it!!!
I'll never forget that moment when Paul Molitor gets tears in his eyes and the cameraman gets a close-up shot of the tear falling down his cheek. 0.47 He FINALLY won a World Series. He had to leave the Brewers to do it, and I'm sure it wasn't an easy decision for him to make. Obviously, it was worth it. Then, later, he finds out he's the MVP. I'll bet this was the happiest day of his life. Congratulations, again, Paulie.
A one run lead for Philadelphia as we go to the bottom of the ninth, due up Henderson, White, Molitor, and Carter. Joe has had his moments. Access code search words: the 1000 Such Days Topsites website.
OH God I wish I was alive for this, hopefully I'll get to see the Jays win a World Series in my lifetime, lovin their team this year. Great bullpen, speed and power just need to get a couple .300 hitters and let our starters develop
Lately you know the sports talk in Toronto is about Robbie Alomar making the hall of fame, as a blue jay, second to none. This got me looking at the old videos on You Tube of boring stories of jays glory days. Which brings me to this story behind the scenes for the success of the blue jays. I want to share with you all my version of what happened back when the jays were the toast of the town. Search for the published article with key words The 1000 Such Days Topsites Website.
@Robis2349 Positive. I've met him Before. My parents have hung around with him several times. But I'm a Cardinals fan so I usually don't read up on other teams
