Thanks for posting this. It really takes me back. They used to do regular Wednesday night gigs at the Station Tavern in Latimer Road (Bob's Goodtime Blues). The atmosphere was fantastic and it was free entry. Those were the days!
Thanks Fiddlered! Check out the video "Crying Out For Love" on this channel, it is actually from the Station Tavern! I may have uploaded other vids from the same venue, but right now, can't remember which one(s)... ;-)
I just had a look at "Crying Out For Love" and really enjoyed it. I'll trawl through your channel and see if I can find any others. I haven't been to London for a long time - is there a successor venue to the Station Tavern? I went there quite a lot back in 1990 - 92 but it seems to have changed managment and theme a few years ago.
Your comment alone deserves 5 stars!!!! Jim's voice is great indeed! IMO he does a better job with this song vocalwise than John on the Two Steps Ahead album!...
And yes, he will ALWAYS rule!... (with or without the Yardies!)
Just to get things a little more accurate, for this tour Jim only sang a couple of songs, the bulk of the singing was done by Rod and Ray.Sorry the picture is very blue,I was just at side of stage when this was filmed, and the lighting was like this. What about all the dry ice?lol.Well done snugsMcCarty

I didn't know that Jim had his own band! Really good tune & he sings pretty well too. I agree that he has been underrated..

Wow Jim has a really cool singing voice. Jim McCarty will alawys rule the music industry with the Yarbirds or his own band.

Thanks for posting....this is a really tight three piece band!
Who wrote the song??
violinbloke 3 years ago
Basically,it's a Jim McCarty song, which was featured on the debut album by The Box Of Frogs,(in reality a Yardbirds type get together)
