  • LS = Loser's Shit

  • this car should win the award for most abused chevy

  • Good God man. Lol. Nice review Kyle.

  • that's an $800.00 car!!

  • a supercharged malibu, i want one!

  • the winning noise is the turbo haha

  • That does not look like the correct size of tires on there.

  • the engine on the 1997-2003 as Chevrolet Malibu 2004-2005 as Chevrolet Classic

    Engine

    2.4 L LD9 I4

    3.1 L L82 V6LG8 V6

  • That Malibu is so nasty compared to mine.....but otherwise they're good cars.

  • the transmission on the 1997-2003 as Chevrolet Malibu

    2004-2005 as Chevrolet Classic

    Transmission

    4-speed automatic

  • I have one and I love it. This one is just very abused.

  • Comment removed

  • That particular malibu actually has 175hp, as it has the upgraded intake manifold. 1999.5 malibu's and there forward had the new and improved 175hp engines.

  • You sold this thing didnt you ..

  • I have a Malibu but almost every day I hop into the car, I think, "Why can't we get a Monte Carlo?" It is probably one of the nicest generations of the Malibu but I'm still not a big fan of this generation Malibu.

  • as well i drive a 2001 chevy malibu LS with 37000 miles on it i have about im guessing around 200 hp with new modifications such as cold intake ext. i seriously think you should get it checked because you lose horsepower and along with it gas mileage because of losing vacuum in your engine

  • you need a new intake manifold gasket because you are loseing vacume it happenend to my car and it whines but after i fixed it it was working great. the intake manifold gasket goes out because of gm not ageing the engines for the 1997-2003 model malibus, and cutlasses the fix is about $900 to have someone fix it or its about $150 to do your self but its time tasking to do and i say you should fix your malibu as the intake manifold gasket is the life of the car

  • @DarkskullRespawn good point i ride with him in that car

  • @christopher9621 wouldnt be a bad idea you will also boost your gas mileage from your intake manifold gasket not loseing coolant so it wont heat up your engine as bad.

  • Looks a bit like the 1999 Pontiac Grand Am you filmed a while back.

  • give you $100 cash

  • @blackberry8220flip man this is worth about 700 now but when it's cleaned up and gets a new paint job and or servied it's going to be worth around 3-6 grand

  • thats a wierd buzzer

  • I, as a European, like American cars. They are a cheap luxury bargain over here. But what is it with American car manufacturers and paintjobs? The top layer of coating is always eating away on older cars, so it seems..

  • hate 2 burst bubbles buht tht car lookz lyk reheated shit

  • i have a 1998 malibu with 90,000 miles on it and not one scrach and the paint in still there no rust or sun crap at all..and its got the sunroof what the hell happened to that car

  • Sounds like its got a supercharger......

  • Was anyone else expecting to see a crack rock in the cup holder? I can see Kyle was pained doing this review

  • Has anyone else payed attention to the gas hand? but seriously. Why would someone abuse a car like that?

  • My Mali looks better than this and its interior is FLAWLESS. I SWEAR. ILL DO A VIDEO. and by the way that green malibu has been wrecked I can tell because the front bumper doesn't say chevrolet

  • Damn....someone reallllly abused this car.

  • Chevy Says It's The Car You Knew America Can Depend On But That One Is Not Dependable

  • @MrJoeytony cause this one was beat to hell and back, a Toyota Camry or Honda Accord that was beat to hell and back would be the same.

  • my 99 malibu sounds and looks WAY nicer than this. i love my car and apparently, who ever owned this one hated it. mine actually has a roar sound. not a whistle sound like this. i vacuum and wipe down the interior every other week and give it car washes every other week also. its a shame to see this car in this kind of condition.

  • I can feel the intense cheapness of this car just by watching the video.

  • HAHAHA i got a 99 malibu for 400 bucks and its in the same exactly crapy condition as this one.

  • Poor car. It brings me back to my Grand Am. :(

  • I thought LT's Werethe best But nevermine..... I Like how you desribe the cars....

  • Aww fuck yeah, It's got a supercharger!!!

And a really fucked up fuel gauge...

  • Thats Sorta Sad:( Yuck

  • I have a 99 malibu just like this, same color and everything, but not an LS. My Dad makes fun of it and calls it a beater, so I tell him "um, no, lol, take a look at this video" lol, this is a beater. I can't stand a dirty car, I wipe down the interior and vaccum it, give it car washes. If my interior looked like this car, I'd scream, lol.

Great video, these vids are interesting to watch :)

  • this car is alright for first time drivers how much did they want for this???

  • I hate the bobbing fuel indicator.

  • 04:35 whoah did you see? The fuel indicator showed that the quarter of fuel in the tank was used in 20 seconds!

  • I have two of these cars...same color. The whine is just a pulley and the Service Engine Soon light is actually for the daytime running lamps and automatic headlight control. Theres is actually another light for the engine and its an actual picture of an engine and it comes on for all powertrain related stuff. But the service engine soon (ses) light is just for automatic lamp control (alc) and daytime running lamps (drl)

  • what was the whine then?

  • hear that turbo whine...nice

  • I think the previous owner had a wolverine living in that car. The fuel gauge scares me.

  • Kyle, I think this the 175hp version motor, seeing as tho the newer intake manifold design than in the previous 3100

  • sounds like a spun bering

  • Hey Kyle...did you feel the need to take a hot shower after sitting in it? LOL.

  • That car looked so nasty. I would've worn a Bio-Hazard suit b4 going into that car. That's one car that should just be put out of it's misery.

  • lol...jjajajajjaja that car need a make up lol

  • Oh MAN! what an abused car....jesus...that thing needs put out of it's misery...someone drove the crap out of it!

  • That gen. Malibu which is about from 1997-2004 and the current gen. Malibu has to be my favaorit.

  • the whine is the supercharger

  • @Sonny6116

Sorry no supercharger on the car. Only 3800s never the 3100s. As carlover97, The malibu has spun bearings.

  • @Jon3800 haha i know i was joking

  • The back looks very Asian.

  • lol cant believe the speakers are not blown... someone really hated that poor car

  • This Mally produces 10 more horsepower than my '93 Grand prix but my car produces 5 more lbs-ft of torque

  • It pains me to see a good car like the Malibu in such bad condition :( Still a great review :)

haha, 8:51, we have those little stick-in-vent air fresheners in our Crown Vic. They're awesome.

  • that was my drivers ed car... biggest POS ive ever sat in.... cheap, ac didnt blow cold air, slow, horrible handling.... makes me wonder why anybody would have bought one.

  • One thing that makes me proud of living on a "Third World" country is that at least my things last longer, there´s no miscare. Well people are thinking harder before entering to an agressive consume culture...

    Anyways great vid!!!

  • haha that's my Driver's Ed car kyle lol

  • It looks like after little crash.. and look at the fuel gage by the way, when kyle want to hear how she sounds, the fuel gage comes down all the time..

  • It looks like after little crash..

  • Kyle these 3100s came with 160 base horse power. Different versions of it had more HP but the absolute lowest it had was 160.

  • @xScoobyDoo82x

    some had 155hp

  • can you do a 2005 chevy malibu ls plz

  • GM sucks ... period.

  • SMILE

    my cars dirty as hell

  • i have a 99 altima and the paint is still shiny. i hate gm.

  • poor car :( it needs some lovin from kyle

  • my worker has one it is good car

  • How much for this...uh...fixer upper opportunity?

  • Completely trashed...

    Was this a repo?

  • sounds like it needs some power steering fluid

  • I used to own a 98 Chevy Malibu, it lasted me 12 Years until April last year, but hey it was a good car.

Anyway this car looks like some teenager owned it, and didn't take care of it. Just sayin

  • Guess how old I am check on my channel if you want to guess you will be featured in a anujwaken video! Just comment on any video of mine and say the age u think I am and I'll do a video on March 4th!

  • Some people seem to eat their own vehicles. Its incredible how pig some humans are. I imagine his/her house, clothes and stuff.

    Poor vehicle.

  • @saabkyle04 yes finally.

  • I hate people who don't take care of their car. It's disgusting.

  • why did it look like the belts were not moving?

  • i bet that thing smells kinda nasty inside

  • mi goodnes what has owner done ?.

wy did gew new malbeus a V6 not a v8

  • These are usually very good cars. You just got one in very bad condition.

  • 1:10 wow that fuel gauge appears to be working great haha

  • this car is like a cave inside.

  • the 1997-2003 Chevrolet Malibu was assembled in

    Wilmington, DE, United States

    Lansing, MI, United States

    Oklahoma City, OK, United States

  • Kyle that "whine" is that supercharger kicking in!! :)

    Jk...

    That would be cool..

  • That petrol gauge cant decide where to stay :D

  • that my friend is a druggies car

  • @dundermiflin892 You're right about this being a druggie's car. I saw tree in the center console as well as blunt roaches @ 5:44.

  • @dundermiflin892 the jesus loves you sticker is to prevent cops from pulling them over

  • @dundermiflin892 and 4:00 a damn good hiding place for their viles of rocks

  • My grandmother had one of these cars. The Service Vehicle Soon light that illuminates on those style Malibu's was meant for daytime running light issues. Dont ask why, it just is. There is a separate normal check engine light near the water temp gauge that is a normal diagnostic light. That also explains why you didnt see the SVS light illuminate until you put it into gear (when the DRL's come on). Anyways, that car is beat lol.

  • low miles for its year, but this car was treated and maintained very poorly unfortianatly. Its too bad because there seems to be no rust on it.

  • These cars are pretty underrated IMO. Granted this one's beat to hell but it's still nice to see a review. Thanks for the upload

  • It looks like somebody went out of their way to trash this car this is not normal wear & tear.

  • the fuel gauge isn't sure how much gas there is... lol

  • what a nice car. i loved the bumper sticker :)

  • you forgot to say, "very nice." :D

  • LOL Taco Bell sauce packet @8:57

  • I must say though Kyle, you can almost hear the fear in your voice as you reviewed this Malibu. Almost sounds like your thinking "Oh my God, what are those losers going to say about this car".....lol I love the selection you bring us Kyle!

    LOL @ 3:36 though....ITS SUPERCHARGED BABY!!! :D

  • Man that car is beat.....I feel sorry for the poor thing, do people not realize owning a car, new or old is a privilege, not a gift.Treat your cars right people, and it will do the same in return....please I beg of you....

  • @strumem90 if you bought a car with your own money, you have the right to treat it however you want. It has nothing to do with being a "privilege". If people don't give a shit about their car, and beat the hell out of them, that's their prerogative. I love cars just as much as the next guy, but they are machines, not people....

  • @92ASC Disagree, but its me. I fix and restore cars for a living. Some people shouldn't own a car. But thats me, it is a privilege to be on the road and own a car that you can call yours. Its a privilege to dress up and soup-up your vehicle any way you want to, its a privilege to be able to call it yours, but its a disgrace, and ignorant, to destroy it for no reason....

  • @strumem90 so you're saying that if you pay for something(a machine) and you OWN it, you don't have the right to treat it how you want? Yes it's stupid to destroy something for no reason, but that certainly doesn't make it wrong or illegal as long as you aren't harming other people or their property..

  • @92ASC You can treat it anyway you want, just some are immature and don't treat it like they should. NEVER said it was illegal, I said its a disgrace and ignorant to do such a thing to a "machine" as you say. We are two different minds, one just happens to be right on target. My Dads first car was a 1969 Pontiac Strato-Chief. To this day, he still owns this car...you know why? Because he respected it and took care of it like many people don't these days. Why? Because he loves that car alot

  • can you do that saab @ 00:04?

  • Malibus those days were so poorly made. The steering wheel starts shaking at highway speeds.

  • What...What do you mean you won't give me $3000 for my trade?

  • I just loved riding in this when my grandparents came down here from Arizona and rented one.

  • was that weed in the center consle

  • did u ever figure out what that whine to the engine was?

  • YOU DIDN'T SAY WHAT DEALERSHIP!!!

  • WOW! Even the Malibu knoow gas prices are going up if the needle keeps twitching. LOL

  • you really have to use force to break some of these things inside a car! hmm some people beat up their cars i quess

  • @saabkyle04 can you do a 2006 malibu, i heard those were better

  • Smile, Jesus loves you

  • Can you do the car Tupac got shot in?

  • All the hottest women were fucked in that car back in the 80's

  • @LmaoGuys Too bad this car didn't exist in the 80's, considering it was made in 1999.

  • thats a car

  • THe 'whine' sounds like the alternator / and or belts.

  • The previous owner of this car should be ashamed. If they let their car get that gross imagine what their house looks like. Perhaps in between trips to WalMart and McDonald's they should've stopped off at a car wash.

  • That thing HAD tan leather interior:)

  • Better equiped than the Buick Skylark I had, and this Malibu is newer by 4 years too. My Skylark was a two door and it didn't have a sunroof, tach, tape deck, or anything like that. Kinda wish I had the Malibu.

  • I think the fuel pump is going out. Cause when ours did, our gas gage wouldn't stay in one place, like this car did at 1:20

  • This has to be the most mint car I've ever seen on YouTube or in real life. Also, Pretty Woman was the best action movie I've ever watched.

  • that noise sounds like a supercharger

  • lmaoo do more bangup their soo funny and have so much character

  • that wildfire looked better shape than this! i love these kinds of vids!

  • This body style of the Malibu is an absolutely dreadful car.

  • @97I30T Nope. :)

  • @BigGhommie Theres nothing wrong with one theyre just terminally boring, slow, ugly, and everyone had or has one. A Nissan Maxima of the time was so much faster, drove better, handled better, rode better, was more comfortable, was miles ahead in technology and quality, and was overall a much better and exciting car. Just look at the resale value of the Maxima or any non-american midsize sedan and youll know what I mean. I have a friend who has a 99 Malibu, it can't hold a candle to my i30

  • It's quite possible, that this car will be sold for $500 and still continue to serve for a good while. About the whine: Since the check engine light is on, a scanner may provide some useful info. Barring that, it could be an idler or accessory bearing as one commentator mentioned.

  • You always do a great job no matter what car you do! This one reminds me of the Buick Century you did, but I believe this Malibu does have more features than the Century had.

  • I beleive Chevrolets slogan for these malibus was " the '99 Malibu, rent one today" lol

  • This is my car except I got a 2000 in gold and a lot nicer looking lol

  • @naterade21 disregard that comment!

  • Why is the paint on the hood always so bad?

  • @Martenshofstede That's the part of the car that gets the most sun.

  • @naterade21 thats your mom for ya! Ugly, everythings loose and beaten to hell!

  • Jesus loves you but you can't take care of your car. Hmmm lol

Nice video Kyle, if you was here you could do mine instead. I have the same car but in much better condition. :)

  • This car amd other cars like this deserve to be fixed up. All the service they gave...and to be treated like this.

  • Why you no write a specification of the car here?

  • @Chocholousek1 the description? I haven't done it yet. I definitely have the performance specs in there

  • @saabkyle04 Thanks.

  • my mom has this car...2001 chevy mailbu. Mine is in way better condition

  • not a bad looking car if i had the money i would buy it and fix it up that car has a lot of life in her...

  • my mom has this car...2001 chevy mailbu.

  • Wath is the song at 5:35

  • @dilson0070 Sweet Home Alabama-lynyrd skynyrd

  • @dilson0070 sweet home alabama

  • lol I'm not picking on your video at all, I love your videos, I just gotta say, my 1991 Ford Escort GT is in 100X better shape than this poor car and it's got 224,500 miles on it! LOL some people do not care for their cars as they should, and so it goes. Keep making these great videos Kyle! :D

  • I loved how that gas gauge danced around. And whatever that noise is...doesn't sound good. :P

  • I'm like you Kyle, I don't mind a car rough around the edges. I've owned several, with some TLC most would be surprised how well they clean up and perform. They just need some lovin is all. The car I have now, a 93 Olds Ciera SL1 is still in rough shape, but it's very clean and runs strong because of the care I give it.

  • Hey i have a request im getting a 1988 Volvo 240DL Wagon next month and i was wanting to be familiar with all the controls and what not anyways if you come across one could you do a full in-depth tour and features on everything that would be great thanks for your help.

  • I had 2000 Chevrolet Malibu LS better shape and it was great car and only 108,000 miles

  • I love the sticker on the trunk lol wish this car was shown more love. If it was in better shape I wouldn't mind owning this car.

  • hahaha i like when your reving the engine the gas gauge slowly goes down.

  • @Sentry21

it goes down incredibly quick actually. it made me lol at the horrible fuel economy

  • @MrKulCars It's not bad fuel economy, the gauge doesn't work properly.

  • The whine could be a timing belt needing replacement.

  • @PS2Gameplays the 3100 V6 is a 60* Pushrod Engine, and uses a Timing Chain, Believe me, I know these things because I had to open up a few 3100s due to the Notorious Intake Gasket Problem. but My theory is that the Bearings in the Alternator are starting to go.

  • thats a chevy fer ya

  • It looks like a repo car! haha

  • those are nice cars, a 99 shouldnt look that bad,

  • You almost need assprotection here Kyle... :)

  • its a shame that people are lazy just look at the classic corvette kyle did in the last video that thing is over 40 years old and still in good shape theres no reason for a 1999 model car to be this trashed BTW the 3.1 liter v6s in these are very peppy motors and offer plenty of get up and go
