  • saggia decisione quella di aprire il paracadute.... :-)

  • if deployment was 0.05 seconds later he would have been badly injured...

if deployment was 0.1 seconds later he would have died...

  • @Castorios I don't know dude. Any later and homeboy would have bounced to his death.

  • 0:29 nice thong babe XD

  • Wow, glad he was lucky.

  • ill bet his asshole was puckering on that one

  • a little embarrased but alive...

  • almost die

  • Being packed slider up does not mean your rig is bulkier in fact nowadays with ultralite canopies and low profile containers it's quite the opposite

  • chateux !!! lol

  • wikipedia/BASE_jumping/fatalities links to interesting information about the safety of the activity.

Or Google "phoenix fly wingsuit base pdf" make of it what you will.

  • I guess he'll have to wait to get his 2nd BASE number.

  • 5m

  • Finally!! some out takes.. all I've seen are vids on how sick it is and how easy these people make it look.. but there is definite danger in doing it. THAT could've been fatal... thank god nothing happened

  • I know you did ....

  • gotta love the old guy in the red and white shirt, looks like he didnt really know if this was the way its supposed to be done..

  • What is Martin Sheen doing in Norway?

  • @justinlegend8800 best comment!

  • to bad hes good at packing or that would of been awsome

  • holy shit! literally a half second from death for sure, WOW!

  • OMG HES GUNNA HIT TEH ROCKS

    aww...

  • Looks like he lost a lot of lift on the other side of that feature, had almost no forward airspeed. Good choice, didn't hesitate once he realised what was happening, and pulled.

  • RAM AIR saving lives everyday

  • Whoaaa...

  • only God and the laudrylady know how scared I was for that kid!

  • farkkkkkkk

  • When we couldn't raid england anymore, we had to get our rage out one way or the other...

  • Wow, death had its gaping maw open right there.

  • HAHA! Look at every one sitting there like Penguins, wondering if that was suppose to happen like that.

  • he opened his chute awfully close to the ground

  • omg lucky guy

  • com on Death! you got nothing!

  • The dude is alive alright.

Apart from that this is the most stupid I've seen in terms of getting an adrenalin rush.

Cz that's what it is about, right?

Life is too precious for this shit.

  • @elmerexpress - Lol. Just because you don't have that urge for an adrenalin rush, it does not mean that everyone else does not.

  • @Codename067:

Sure! I understand that. I was doing skydiving way-back-when until that got - believe it or not - boring. I concluded that if I'm going to keep the rush up I'd have to increase the risk. And a while later increase it again and so on. That's when I decided to end the game. Not that I don't miss the rush. Just found out that life is too important to gamble with for my part. And yes, you do have a point: Others have the same right to enjoy their life their own way as I have with mine.

  • @elmerexpress - I never questioned or objected the way you enjoy your life. I simply stated the fact that everyone has the right to do so in their own ways.

  • @Codename067: (Chuckles) - the last part of my answer suggests that I got that very point?

  • @elmerexpress

Well if you used to skydive way back, until the point where you got bored, then you should be experienced enough to understand that he did not pull that low on purpose to get some extra rush or something, he stalled the suit, maybe he was unlucky, or not experienced enough - either way, he did not intend to do that.. The canopy inflated really quickly, for terminal jumps like this it should snivel a bit longer I think, so he emptied out his luck jar on this one for sure.

  • @fettspinn i second this perfect response

  • @fettspinn

BASE jumpers pack their canopies the same way a reserve would be. I'm sure you know they are supposed to "POP" as resorting to the reserve means jumpers NEED as much altitude as possible...a sniveling canopy for BASE would kill many people. A lot of people focus on what could've happened "If he would've pulled later, blah blah blah." I say he was expereinced enough to know that he was in an unrecoverable situation with some kind of intervention and did the right thing. I applaud him.

  • @rywy77 that opened quick for a base canopy slider up. even with a mesh slider. i bet that one hurt. but not as much as if he'd hit the rocks

  • woah.

  • The little dogs should stay on th eporch. ;)

  • Can anyone with experience ( even though a small hand full of people have it.) explain what exactly went wrong here? Did he not have the right angle as he was flying or something?

  • @phct He stalled. You can stall any wing.

  • @phct He was trying to show off, that's the issue, there was no reason to cut it that close. He was merely lucky.

  • Jeez.

  • holly crap

  • Dangerous and stupid if he did that on purpose.

  • I think I shit my pants

  • I love Trollstigen. I have drove this mountain road at least 10 times. It's fantastic!

  • holy shit lucky day

  • WOW! that was so f*ckin close to that guys last jump!

  • Jezz is right mate!!!!

  • Sure some legg or foot broken........minimum

  • hmmmm, close one.......and you should not make technical comments on BASE jumping if you do not know what your talking about.

  • but it is the truth

  • errrr.....what is the 'truth'?

  • The technical comment of

    FRICKMAN

  • DAMN

    that was close

  • Basejumper want to spend close to people but flying high, brakes too wingsuit and ¡¡¡ SURPRISE !!! glide ratio plummets.....fortunately has height just to open his parachute.

  • I bet the back of his wingsuit is brown now.

  • yeah it looks like slider down... havn´t seen such a fast slider up opening so far

  • WOAHHHHHHHHHH

  • Holy crap that was a close call

  • Jesus H Christ.. that was close.. time for a change of underwear I reckon..

  • Holy shit

  • dam he pitched that with NO time to spare! agreed christofhapp, slider down was a good choice!

  • Makes me sweat to watch.

  • sliderdown hm? seems as he had some premonition that i will get close...

  • im not a base jumper but i know that slider down would slow down the deployment of the canopy. wouldn't he want it to open faster?

  • @n8032 other way round.

  • really? so rigging slider down not only speeds up deployment of the canopy but also creates a more stable deployment with minimal risks of line twists. what are the pros of packing without the slider? thank you for the information.

  • You pack your chute with slider removed (or down) when you need a quicker opening, mostly when jumping low objects

  • @iOcean21 thank you. that makes sense!

  • I think slider UP minimizes risk of line twist.

  • yea thanks to all the adviced ive recieved from guys here on youtube slider up does minimize risk of line twist with the cons of having a bulkier rig and a slower deployment time of the canopy.

  • Comment removed

  • Basecanopies opens faster. And he is using a basecanopy. The faster the slider comes down, the faster will the canopy open. If he had used a regular canopy that you use from planes, he would have died. When you are jumping from a plane you have time for a slower and more comfortable opening.

  • oh yes! this i know! i was just wondering what slider down would do for a base opening.

  • I'm not skydiver/base jumper yet but I'm sure the whole point of slider is to soften/slow the opening of the canopy as it slides down, therefore if it's down, the canopy will inflate rapidly.

  • Be careful guy. You know.

  • boa montagem, salto sofrível...

  • WAAAW

  • 0.2 seconds away from having dinner with the reaper.

  • Amazing video, lucky you were there to capture it. It looks from the end of the vid that it was on a DSLR? Which one did you use?

  • dude, so happy he got it out. close close call.

  • Man a line twist would have really ruined his day!

  • hoooly shit..!!! lucky he realized it just in time..

  • wow shiat han va så jævla heldige! flaks han ikkje traff bakken:P:D

  • holy shit that guy got lucky

  • AAHHHHHH that was CLOSE!

  • stalled wingsuit = near death

bispen exit is for the pros

  • hoooooooly crap!!!

    what a lucky guy

Let it fly next time !!!

  • Stalled his wingsuit and shit his pants all within 5 seconds.

  • Damn, he almost died O_O

  • Featured Video of the Adrenaline Addicted Channel!

  • ÅÅÅÅÅhhhh... gjorde vond i margen den der... huff...

  • Can someone explain? What's "stalling" a wingsuit? How exactly do you stall it as such? Just like closing your arms / legs or something?

  • A wingsuit works just like a glider or a normal plane. Forward speed gives you lift to stay up. This wingsuit pilot basically flew in a wrong angle giving him too little forward speed, causing him to lose his lift and start dropping like a rock.

  • Aahh I see, tx :)

  • @endrerud That's why wingsuit pilots should have a sufficient amount of skydive jumps before they start basejumping.

  • God bless FAST OPENING chutes!

  • Just lucky :P

  • NEVER stall a wingsuit !!!

First of all, you lose your tracking speed.

And then, you go straight down...

I'm glad he had quick enough response to pull the chute before it was too late...

  • wow, one lucky dude, I guess he will never stall a wingsuit again... :-)

  • ei homla, skit i homla!:D lol

  • that was one jump gone wrong..

luckily he deployed his chute on time..

  • Amazing! Lucky Lucky Guy.

  • What happened im guessing he was ment to be flying past the road like i have seen some do on some videos, but what happened?

  • mis-judged his line and altitude. But smart enough to know !

  • ei homla, sjhit i homla. hohohooh

  • 37 secs HIS PANTS FELL DOWN !!!! LOL!!!!!!!

  • What? No they didn't. Its a wingsuit

  • fuck yeah

  • stall ? soo close

  • Hot !

  • FUCKING HELL

  • litt mer adrenalin enn han ønsket ?

  • Jeez any snivel and he would of been brown bread!!

  • haha, 20 feet at the most from the ground there.

  • loooooooooooooool

  • Avafan, lite mer koll måste man ha om man vill hoppa fler gånger...

  • dude next time remember your life, second that your putting the sport in danger doing that :D but your very lucky! :)

  • Nice! Unbelievable! This man is one of the luckiest men in the world.

  • Jesus! hehe

  • oh...

  • I'll bet he had to wash his jump suit out after that.

  • haha, What fucking nut!! Base jumping is about as real as life can probably get. Looking forward to trying it one day.

  • hohohohoooooooo, now THATS a close call!!!

  • damn that was well late

  • whow that was fucking close

  • Weird kind of "BASE" jump when you come out the sky, but man, he pulled loooow!

  • They jump from an edge bellow the peak called "Bispen", and for a few seconds they are hidden behind a part of the mountain before they are once again visible and pass us by with what it sometimes seems like just a few feet away.
