  • cost?

  • great machine..love it

  • That is just too cool!

I will own such a machine one day.

  • WOOOOOOOOOOOW... can I have it? =D

  • Wow it even beveled the screw holes! Slick!

  • @CoReNeoSnk i disagree

  • Hmm...I guess I can't cut that by hand! What kind of metal was that?

  • What exactly is a CNC plasma cutter? Is it just a plasma cutter that's aided through computer programming?

  • how big is your bike

  • Can somebody help me? What mechanisms are used for x,y and z axis?

  • @lilkarlo789 linear actuators?

  • Why can't you cut titanium? Anything conductive- including a 2x4 if you wrap it in tinfoil!!

  • u cant cut titanium on here

  • Please, i need prices and i want to know if you can send to Spain

  • What would the price be for a custom made brake rotor made from titanium?

  • That was cool

  • my old man has 1, works slick!!

  • i want one o.0

  • i want one

  • Just wow. Tech at it's finest.

  • Cutting metal like bread

  • Wicked!

    Better than a waterjet?

  • damn I could make allots of rims with this thing :P

  • How much was the system?

  • @KarasCyborg the program is expensive. believe me.

  • BEAUTIFUL !!! I COULD WATCH THIS ALL DAY.

  • @MrDAVIDEO84 hahaha i do watch this all day.... haaha

  • That's quick!!!

  • Awesome!

  • thast fucking sick we have one of those in our school

  • A sprocket that thin won't last very long on the rear wheel of my harley !!!

  • @almago1 Nothing ever lasts long on a harley ;)

Yeah looks very thin (and aluminum). But depending on the torch you could cut that out of something way thicker than would fit the chain - 1/2" or 5/8", it just takes longer. Also, the teeth usually have a taper on the sides so it doesn't walk off the sprocket with misalignment. I think it's just a demo of capabilities more than anything.

  • This ones so much better than ours :(

  • @DancinGarou I'll take yours if you upgrade... :)

  • I'm curious, how does the table not get cut when doing this? Are the crossmembers of the table very high heat resistant or what?

  • They actually do get cut and wore over a period of time, but if i remember right the PlasmaCAM actually contains the programing to cut it's own replacement parts. I am waiting for my video and brochure to come in the mail right now.

  • @misegades they do get cut they're sacrificial

  • @misegades there spikey, there is a really high, really sharp point at every intersection, they last years, and when they do take a shit, you can make new ones with your plasma cam :p

  • @misegades

They do get cut. You replace them over time. The plasma cutter will only cut a max of 1-2" (for home-based systems)--and that is if you spend a lot of money. The crossmembers are deeper than that.

  • @misegades the table is like a bunch of peaks. so the workpiece rides on the piece so there is less surface area to be cut. it might be channels instead of peaks

  • @misegades they do get cut. There is a pattern included to recut the table slats when they are worn out.

  • @misegades I think the board of steel is suspended and teh edges and sides of the board are being held up. because you can see through the holes, and the cut pieces fall and ding on the floor.

  • @misegades its the distance of the tool...that cross piece underneath was out of cutting range, plus im sure its some special material crossmember...

  • @misegades it will cut the table. the plasma cam table has points that stick up so the part is suspended abov the major parts of it which help. it makes "tip up" a bit worse though

  • @misegades

    Its magic!

  • @misegades. You set up the thickness you want to cut..for example if the plate you want to cut is 8 mm... the plasma cutter will only cut 8mm not 8.1mm.. so thats why the under-table doesn't get damaged

  • @manuelgozo Bullshit man. How on earth can you control a plasma flame from travelling 8.0mm and not 8.1mm or 7.9mm ? It's impossible. The supports WILL get eaten away but should be replaced periodically.

  • @misegades they do get cut. They are considered a consumable. They need replaced every so often.

  • Mitsubishi laser!!!

  • Umm no! The title if you read says PLASMA!!! Not LASER!

  • That`s PLASMA Brian....

  • I have had one of these PlasmaCam machines for about 7 years. Your size limitation is from your POS cutter, not the table unit. We cut .375 and .250 parts DAILY with no issues.

  • These things use an Auto torch height controller so you don't need to program the Z Axis by hand. Most work on torch volts to keep the torch a certain height away from the material so you don't get tip crashes etc.

  • way to not have a clue what you're talking about, jackass...

  • Yeah, nozzles are just soo expensive. Whereas carbide milling cutters, they're peanuts. You just can't beat mills for sheet metal profiling, and 8'x4' travel mills are very compact and cheap these days.

    Dumbass......

  • you could do it by hand,it may take a few years and lots of steel ha ha ,nice machine, simple and effective.

  • I'm such a bad plasma cutter haha...

Good welder, grinder, etc...just cannot do plasma to save my life haha

  • i like the plasma cutter i have one at work along with a hurco vm1 the plasma cutter is fun to mess with i cut out the mortal kombat dragon logo with it came out great

but yeah i weld good with wire but with fuckin rods i suck bad i always keep getting stuck im gonna do some stuff on the hurco tommorow i plan on recording it and posting it up . but yeah the plasma cutter is a good thing to have

  • Wow! very nice sprocket. If only it could do cogs!?
