@MWragg100 maybe its easier for him to learn with tabs...it depends...for example for me its easier by ear,but that doesn't means i can't play by tabs,or if he can't play by ear...but anyway,i don't think you can't be a good drummer if you can't play the both ways
@Dynamiczx That's fair enough. I recommend every drummer should try it though, listen over and over, and then listen whilst playing it. Helps no end.

But much more efficient would be to listen the song over and over and try to make your own tab...becuz by ear,you might forget some notes or something...
