  • Excuse me mr. chemguy but is it still in equilibrium if it is supersaturated?

  • @gummyslinger Nope. No crystals dissolving and reforming, no eqm regarding solute and solution.

    Chemguy

  • Thank you! This really helped me understand the basic concepts of equilibrium.

  • wow u r the first chem teacher i knw who no 1 complained about

    thumbs up

    and keeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep it uup :)

  • this guy is awesome

  • you saved my bacon.

  • You're so funny! Makes it so much more interesting. MY chemistry teacher is so scary, I daren't ask her any doubts....*sniff*

  • BRAVO!!!

  • ok, so when you dump the salt into the water, and have excess salt that precipitates, the solution would then be "more than saturated", right? so is that what create an equilibrium situation? because if it is just "saturated", all the solute is dissolved in the solvent and there are no crystals on the bottom. is there a difference between supersaturated and "more than saturated"? because when a solution is supersaturated it is not at equilibrium. the rate of crystallization is very low...

  • @harmeetsohal Not more than saturated. Just saturated. Crystals on the bottom will then dissolve at the same rate as recrystallizing, so that's eqm. No crystals on the bottom, but saturated, means no eqm. Rate of recry=rate of dissolving...that's eqm.

    Chemguy

  • what does he say starting from 4:07-4 :15 " no more solute is... " ??? why cant we have a equlibruim in an unsaturated liquid?

  • @win2tgirl No crystals on the bottom!

    Chemguy

  • ur the best bro i love u

  • my ap chem exam's on tuesday :)

  • you are an amazing chem teacher! thanks sooo much!

  • I love your lessons man....youre a life saver.....GOD BLESS YOU

  • your really good!! explained it real well!!

  • I wish my teacher actually lectured...all we do is labs :(

  • U really explained the topiv well.

  • U really helped me alot in understanding this TOPIC .. U R the besT chemistry teacher i have ever seen ,,

    THANK U verY much

  • I GOT AN A ON THE TEST

  • k k i get it thnks alt

  • isint da defination of equillibrium is that the state at which the rate of forward reaction becomes exactly equal to the rate of revese reaction

  • what do you mean equilibium is a dynamic process not static?

  • Static =(means its not doing anything, stationary, or showing no change.) Dynamic = (means its doing something, active)

So equilibrium is dynamic because at the molecular level, the reactants are forming products, however, the products are reforming into reactants at the same rate.

  • This is all i needed thank you, and thanks to the guy who did this video :D.

  • I like your videos but I think you do something about the sound quality of your videos, specifically that echo effect.

  • last week we saw this vid at my chemistry course :)

  • Man ,you are the best

  • great supplement to my class! Thanks!

  • My teacher's a piece of shit... Now I can finally understand this stuff =).

  • LOL tell me about it XD

  • Your lucky, my teacher is a real piece of shit, I have to wear a mask everytime I attend class

  • Thank God for summer.

  • hahahaha seeems like everybody who ever had a crappy chem teacher is liking chemistry for the first time!

  • thank you thanks to this i am gettin a 90 my teacher is really bad

  • Tank you so much.

I understand everything so much better!

You have really made chimstry so much better, thanks!

  • You are awesome!!! Thank you:P

    thank you!

  • wow.....i dont think id get far w/out these videos

  • ur so much better at teaching than mrs mohomod

  • youre great. thank you sooooo much

  • u rock

  • my ap chem teacher is not that great...this guy helps soo much! I thank you!! great teaching!

    =D

  • I dont know what i qould do without you.

  • thank you! i wish my chemistry teacher could explain it like this

  • beautiful

  • is it just me, or does the video lose audio when you get to the part when he is demostrating with the beaker.

  • Yeah, the volume gets much lower, so I had to adjust the volume at that part.

  • you're awesome.

  • you are better than my high schoool teachear

  • your videos are really good

    thank you!

  • Thank you very informative :]

  • Where did the SOELution and SOELvent inside joke come from?

  • omg, I loved your videoclass... im from brazil and i say that the world need teachers like you! Without we never gonna rise. My english is bad(sry by my wrongs), but eventhough I understood something of your lesson. Congrats! and a big thanks by a brazilian pre-universitary! ;D

  • I UNDERSTAND!

maybe i wont fail on monday after all !!

    THANK YOU.

my teacher teaches soo fast and i cant keep up, and i dont wanna ask questions in class, cuz well..he just confuses me more.

i've always wanted to be a doctor but chem is getting sooooo hard that i was starting to second guess my dreams, BUT YOU CHANGED THAT!

I CANT SAY THANK YOU ENOUGHH!

  • the thing about chemistry that bugs me the whole time is that it has to be taught slowly, unlike math and physics. U done a good job. I'm so proud of you. I'm gonna build a statue of u, infront of my school, so ppl can look up at u, and say: chemistry...yea.

  • u r right. I am also thinking of erecting a statue into front of the school. I liked it. Chemguy u really teach well.

  • Um...thanks...

It's me without the mustache and greyer hair in the organic vids.

    I just got older.

    Chemguy

  • but he doesn't look like the teacher in organic chemistry.(puzzled)both are good an explain well.

  • u're great!

    tnx a lot

  • You are such a big help! I love watching your videos I have told many people about you and your great videos... I have gone from a low C to an A because I go to class and listen to my instructor than I come home and watch you over and over and I get it! Thank you so very much!!!!!

  • sol-UTION!!!! lmao

    very helpful video.

  • I love u

  • ye thanks

I hope that it`ll help me with my exams :)

  • Thanks for the lesson, it's really helping my chem knowledge :)
