Technically fine, but that's all there is to it — pure technical skill. Good singers and very well-practiced voices, but it just feels like a singing exercise than an actual performance of a song with mood and meaning.
were it not for the bouncy conduting pattern, this video would have been good... and the held notes in the second verse (in the women) were a bit flat... this is a very impressive arrangement though. Props to H-R.
I saw you sing at a lodge in Vt. as a kid. Than 18 years later I can across a cd my dad bought. We loved to listen to it over and over. Most of the songs just skip now and I would love to be able to replace it. Your amazing.
this is a good rendition of the tune, but i personally think the soloist could have made it his own a bit more. it lacked emotion and personality. the dartmouth aires did a great version also a few years ago.
What an amazing sound. It's a minor point, and it's probably just me, but why the need for a conductor? The tempo should go off the soloist; it was slightly distracting. Other than that, it was an absolutely flawless performance.
fantastic arrangement. The soloist was excellent, the "gospel girls" were awesome, the descant wasn't overwhelming, and the conductor-lady rocked it. Bravo and brava to the group.
i may be mistaken but that guy sang walking in memphis in a bar in india when i was there this year, he was unbelievable but my taxi turned up half way through :(

That sounds amazing.. great

Nice voices, but this song is DEFINITELY not the correct vehicle for this group. This performance lacks soul and depth. Bring on Marc Cohn.

I think when the three women get together to sing it reminds me of the way the peanut characters dance... great job guys

they may be clever, but they sure don't have soul...

So, this is how geniuses look like. Nice

Dear jaeshim.,
I dream of Jeannie.
The most correct plural is genii (that's three syllables).
This is because genius is derived from Latin.
It is the first-person masculine singular form of the word.
The first-person masculine plural is genii.

A Screen Gems Production.

I would rather listen to Hanson doing a capella. They run circles around this group. Can't beat Isaac, Taylor and Zach.

Nice 2nd chorus guys. Whoever sings the high sop has a nice, clear tone. Maybe bring out the percussion a little... could be the mic setup? :)

the trio at 3:22 makes this song. soloist has an absolutely beautiful voice but is kind of visually and emotionally lackluster.

3:22 - Thank you ladies, way to nail those notes! Wonderful, 5-stars!

Great group! Smooth male vocalist and the girls who stepped-up really added a nice touch.

Technically, you all sound fine, but this is far too vanilla. Needs more soul.

Decent arrangement, great singers, but it was too tame and needed more attitude.
