Having had a couple of similar run in's with city councils I'd sure like to know more about the event that brought this on. Whoever that council member may be that attempted to rule the pastor out of order is, should be recalled and removed from office as well as hit with a civil action charging him with violation of the pastors civil rights. That council member should be fined and jailed! That was downright disgraceful!

The speaker is not a person of authority, nor is he a lawyer, nor does he have the authority to silence a citizen in an open forum. And really my interpretation is irrelevant and my initial comment to you adds nothing, so my apologies. Bottom line, the reverend knew the speaker had no authority over him and he had to Constitutional right to address his government council - regardless whether they like his comments or not.

The County Sheriff can ignore or at least question any orders they deem unjust. Rarely does this ever happen though and I share your sentiment.
