Good points here and there. but for the sake of argument there are many idealists who do become succeful by chance, by odds, etc. Though, statistics and facts may show that youll most likely become a loser if you dont work hard, it is not absolutely guarantee. They are only statistics. I think this video does a great job illustrating the appearances of idealism and realism as ways of being. It still does no justice distinguishing the two. You have assumed that idealist and realist standards contain within them the Sartrean distinction of bad faith, where one gives up the freedom to choose, placing themselves to be guided inauthenticity and having 'reality' be the definitive authority on their actions.
