  • The crimp at the end is to squeeze the tail under the existing wraps.

    Each successive wrap (4) you want to roll the wire under the previous wrap. Then when you cut the wire there is a little flag there. The "crimp" at the end locks that flag of wire under the previous wraps. The last thing you do is rotate the wire loops into the proper place vertical or horizontal. If you did it right the wire will not twist inside the lure.

  • You take a pair of pliers and squeeze the last wrap to click it under the rest. This pre-loads the internal wire and tightens the whole thing up.
