I think Kira's pipes complement this song perfectly, and I don't care one bit that her vibrato doesn't sync up perfectly to his. If all these detractors knew the first thing about harmonizing vocals they'd realize that this is a pretty proficient example of just that. But I guess they'd rather have the computer-perfect fifths of Glee.

I was personaly incredibly positively surprised when i heard Kira Skov for the first time (yesterday) and you have obviously only heard this track so stop fucking with your mom and find some base for your facts! These are both incredible singers but Kira sings blues/old schhol rock and Søren sings pop wich is two widely different things! It's odd that everybody seems to rag on the duet aspect of this performance. For me, this is the only version of the song I can stand at all. I like Saybia, but this song gets pretty bland when it's just Søren half-weeping on that chorus. Also, I am a Kira & Co. fan from waaayy back in... 2002 I think? But this song was never better than when they performed it live for the first time at nighttime at Roskilde (with Kira too, of course).

Kira from "Kira & The Kindred Spirits" is a force of nature!! They released three albums and she will soon release an album on Tricky's label Brown Punk.. (mostly The Gospel material it seems). Her voice is often compared to Janis Joplin, and that is only fair (not noticeable here..this song doens't suit her at all!)
