Could you please give the thickness of neck of this guitar. I am thinking to get a FR-50 but I am not sure it has a thick neck or not.

It's not a thick neck at all, it's 5/8" thick, from front to back, all the way down the neck and it's about 1 and 5/8" wide, left to right, very similar to a neck of an acoustic guitar. This was one of the very reasons why I fell in love with it when I decided to by it, because it allowed for fewer cramps in the hand while playing.

Take it to a a qualified luthier and have it set up. It's usually just an adjustment of the truss rod but a reputable luthier will know how to set up a resonator guitar as well as other stringed instruments. Be sure to play it before you walk out the door!

I just bought one of these for slide playing, but the strings are way too low. Can they be raised up without losing the ability to fret notes along with the slide playing?
