  • where do you get the camera from?x

  • How often do horses trip? I worry myself silly that my horse will trip, especially if it's muddy or there's pot holes.

  • @gilliangirl1 Depends on the horse, some trip more than others. As a general rule, horses with long toes will tend to trip more often in any condition. If your horse usually picks up his feet and doesn't just shuffle along, you shouldn't have to worry about them tripping. Avoid potholes anyway, and watch out for slipping when it's muddy.

  • THINK ABOUT IT! all this people that are like "ur cantering to much!" look at how long this video is... like 3mins.... think about how long some cross country courses are ... like 5 and up mins of straight up galloping.... think about it... its not that long....

  • yes horses have very high natural endurance... the rider would probably be more tired haha

  • You go ride that horse! A few min. of cantering in what looks like cool weather is more than fine for this horse. They love it too! Enjoy the ride!

  • great video!!! but you shouldn't canter so much, your horse must've been reallly tired afterwards!

  • @oliveheadface omg, its not like its gunna die, Thoroughbreds gallop half a mile without stopping, I think this horse can withstand cantering for 2 minutes.

  • @shinyp0nyta They gallop a lot further than half a mile without stopping!

  • @oliveheadface get a life! watch a race on t.v.-sometimes they gallop flat out for 10 mins!

  • Great vid!! My horse pony would have freaked too :P

  • i love horse riding and horses. I just hate the typa people that usually do it. there almost always stuck up pricks ( well in england at least) and they overcomplicate it way too much. this looked like a lovely ride tho :)

  • @semplespacemodule wtf are you trying to say?.. that people that take horse riding as a serious sport are stuck up pricks? Yes, we over compilcate it because it IS complicated. People who just go on big joy rides dont get what it takes to be a true equestrian.. i mean yes joy rides are lovely.. but there is alot of sport in equestrianism also.. and what is the bull about "well in england at least"? prejudice much?..

  • HORSE LOVERS please go on my videos and enter my contest ots my 1st one EVER lol thankyouu :D x

  • Ahh I loved the sounds of your horse's hooves at 1:09 <3

  • i like the fact that the horses ears were up all the time :)

    great vid :)

  • All your helmet cam vifeos are awesome! It's so much fun to watch. I wish I had bridle trails like those to ride on. Jeez- how many miles are there of gorgeous countryside to ride through are there?! (jealousy!!)

  • okayy

i desperatly want one of those helmet cam things!!

where did u get it?? ☺

  • Haha so wonderful! :D I love when you stopped to talk to that gentleman. Poor guy must've been startled. ^___^

  • Great video! I felt like I was about to fall off the whole time - helmet cam set on the side?

  • The horse does not appear to be lame. As PippaHardman mentioned, it is the distance/angle between the helmetcam and the horse that changes on each alternate diagonal (since the rider is posting the trot) that creates the illusion of "dropping his head". Brilliant video by the way!! :-)

  • Horses nod their heads when trotting, this horse's trot sounded even to me.

  • This horse isn't lame, if you look at the ground you can see that the pathway is quite uneven. Have a look at the other video where he cantering a circle on the beach. This was taken shortly after this one.

  • Guys, you don't know if he is lame or not. YES, he DOES look like he is favoring his leg, but that could just be the way he trots. SOme horses just bob their heads.

  • i don't think hes lame. If he's lame you would feel a thicking thing in one of he's legs.

  • that horse is lame!!! you probably shouldn't be cantering him/her..

  • THE HORSE IS VERY CLEARLY UNEVEN and should NOT be being ridden.

  • how do you know that ?

  • because it is favouring its leg. its very obvious.

  • Not really. You can't tell from this video. The horse is cantering not walking or trotting.

  • it is trotting at the start,,, are u blind???

  • No I'm not and you really can't tell if the horse is lame just by this video. It may have been an off day, or just a bad view. Don't respond to this please, nobody except the user who posted this really cares, maybe he doesnt even care what you think so just stop. You don't know the horse........

  • Comment removed

  • its not uneven if u look really closley its not the horses head moving its the rider doing rising trot its an optical illusion. If the horse was lame it wouldnt canter along like that all happy and stuff jeez!

  • that horse is very lame...

  • wtf r u on about?

  • Amazing! I love the scenery too =]

  • this helmet thing is cool.... just watched ur nite time one.... bloody brill!!!

  • i used my cam fone attached to my wrist, and a horse that i didnt name myself haha

  • wow! brilliant idea, i should really do this with my horse...

  • wow so cool! how do you get these helmet cam things?? i want one soooo bad!

  • Your riding places look like so much fun. Can I come and live with you? LOL

  • I really really really want to try that! In my old school, we did not have trails to ride about much on :(

  • This horse is lame. You can hear it and see it in the beginning of this clip. whay are they riding him, much less taking a gallop?

  • i was thinking wow! that guy never blinks but then i remembered duh hes got a cam doin the filming not his eyes! lol

  • haha that just made lafff!

  • what a great video =D

  • great vid.

  • Wow. really nice long track for a canter! What part of the UK do you live in?

  • I heard somewhere that thoroughbreds crossed with any draft horses are also known as oldenbergs... is that true?

  • No. A thoroughbred (hot blood) crossed with a draft (cold blood) makes a horse that can be called a warmblood. An oldenberg is called a warm blood but typicaly have more light horse (hot blood) breeding. My friend has a TB/Belgium(sp?) cross and trust me it is about as far from an Oldenberg as you can get.

  • How did you get the helmet cam?

  • I thought it was great! Would love to see some shots of Charlie.

  • Yes, it would be nice to see such a tall horse being ridden via video... Regards..
