  • Must be a reason I remembered how great this song is today.

  • i love it!

  • 6 dislikes? wtf?

  • Fantastic - just like a night in Tunisia would be.

  • Espectacular, saludos.

    negroyperro

  • True Art indeed.. :'( very sad at the rubbishes heaard in malls today

  • YESSSSS AHHHHHHHHHHH WOOOOOO What a rollercoaster ride! Can I go on again?

  • Art Blakey <3

  • This song is perfect.

  • im somewhere in between with that reaction thing... is it classic or incredible. maybe it's... COSMIC?

  • How can anyone dislike this? If you don't like it move on, but this is something you have respect.

  • Happy Birthday Art Blakey (October 11) RIP

  • I'm about to blow up LOL! Ooold drum n bass :)))

  • One hell of a night!

  • Talk about intensity!

  • is it just me or does this song remind anyone of west side story soundtrack...

  • Best version of this song!

  • Man, Art's mom was an octopus.

  • truly mesmerising.....SICK INTRO XXXXXXX

  • I was reading someone's blog and I ended up here. John, if my not being able to sleep at night could be translated into music...this is what it sounds like. It also sounds like trying to stay awake during the day. *Jazz Mess*

  • This crazy drum solo in the intro section is like blazing fire

  • This is an epic jazz masterpiece!

  • I would say John Mayer sent me, but when I read the post I actually recognized the name from an episode of The Cosby Show.

  • OH LORD HAVE MERCY

  • john mayer sent me!

  • jm

  • @almostlover72 mee too!

  • i can't link this to my facebook. EMI prohibits it because i'm in Canada. Screw you EMI for messing up my fun.

  • WoW! is what i think when listening to this...that's ALL

  • complete eargasm

  • Jazzhole13 is a hella-fa name. This tune makes me happy :), happy ;), happy T.T, and god damn COOL!

  • This is one of the greatest jazz recordings ever!!

  • cool

  • Am always amazed as to why certain people feel the need to click the "dislike" button. This track has nothing to do with whether you like it or not. It's a monumental and vital period in jazz music, period!

  • spettacolare

  • "hooowl" at 6:27

  • BRAVOOOOOOO

  • BLOW YOUR SAX

  • Only somebody who doesn't like or understand jazz would hit the dislike button for this. Besides Blakey's greatness as a drummer, he was also an incredible bandleader. What some people forget is that a lot of the wonderful musicians in the Jazz Messengers were also great writers. (Wayne Shorter, Lee Morgan, Freddie Hubbard, Cedar Walton, etc, etc.)

  • @ter521fad I guess you could say it's a good thing only two people clicked the dislike button!

    Love this track!

  • @HeroSpiderman Maybe they understood as dis (I do) like

  • @jaime52 shit's not funny, brian

  • 8:27 to the end is all I ever need to hear to know what I want to do with my life

  • JAZ JAZ JAZZ & more JAZZ

  • Art Blakeys the MOST

  • just superb!

  • an 11 minute long eargasm. mmmmm

  • awesome!!!

  • This is superb!!

    Thanks for this service...

When I was a teenager, I used to play this album so often that I wore it out...

Feels great to be able to hear it again...

    Thanks Again!!

  • aaa

  • 2 People need to have their computers stolen.

  • is it polyrythmics??

  • Did someone say "Get mad!" in Lee Morgan's cadenza? haha

  • @TheBigMclargehuge <<< imbecile

  • @logansGT No, the imbecile is the one who can't tell the difference between objective and subjective.

  • @TheBigMcSmalltiny Oh yeah? Well I know "the difference between objective and subjective" and I object to your subjective view on the issue :o)

  • wow best russian music ever

  • lee morgan!!!!

  • 8:42 "Play yo instament!"

  • Furumingo, obrigada por compartilhar comigo!!

    Eu, amo esse álbum!!!

    Obrigada,

    Maga-Lee :-))

  • This is it. This is the version I was looking for. OMG.

  • shshshshshshshhshshs Shhkk shhkkkkk plas! plas!!! jejeje!

  • I really think more of today's jazz artists should listen to this recording just to get a feelin' of that real raw jazz.

Listen to Art Blakey's cymbals and thunderin' drums.

Most of today's jazz artists sound squicky clean and way to perfect compared to this!

  • Mercy ! Just Wondeful ...

  • In my view, this is the best Blue Note track of all time.

  • It's one of my favourites too, the opening is just so effectful, reminiscent of "The Drum Thunder Suite".

  • @punk2116 its got to be my personal favorite recording of anything ever.

  • @punk2116 it is a night in tunisa id ont know! ha ha
