I hate conductors who act like it's them who are performing the music. Then they acknowledge the applause like it was them who were playing. It's the composer first and then the musicians second who deserve the credit.

If you are European like me, this is what you did for New Years: party, dance, eat and drink all night but no matter how hungover you were you still parked yourself in frront of the TV with your family and clapped along to Radetsky March at noon! Best memories! Miss Europe, miss Eurovision!
Vienna is most charming and the people is great. And nothing tops Karajan with the Vienna Philharmonic ... and the audience ! After a concert, it may be just right to go to Grinzing, order some food and boiled Vine with honey, cinnamon and nutmeg ... and a dance. Last time my Mom asked me to do just that, she was 82 at the time :-) who was a real Viennese lady.
Last night I've got the privilege to listen the Symphony in the park in Perth, one of the wonderful compositions they play was this, wonderful enjoying with so many animated people.
From my more youthful days I watched a show called "Laugh In" and I could swear this conductor is Artie Johnson of that show who was then a comedian.....of course its not. Enjoyed this performance great work. USA
