-_- ............... pardon ?
@RoyalistCavalier Can you really be that stupid ? seriously... You seem to be more a racist that anything else to me... Traitor ? A province which have been taken by force during a old war which now want to get back his land can't be called traitor... I'm not saying that i am for independence.. I'm a french canadian "not by choice" but that's what i am... If there is another vote to get out of Canada you dont have shit to say about my vote neither can you say that i'm a traitor you jerk!
@Mickr4 Son, France gave away New France to Great Britain in the Treaty of Paris (1763) in order to keep the French West Indies because they were more valued with their rich sugar trade then New france's poor fur trade. I am sorry to say this to you but, the French did not care about you and were very quick to abandon you. Voltraire once called New France "A few acres of snow" to show contempt at you. No Quebec was not taken by force it was given to Great Britain by France.
"Alsace-Lorraine and Corsica belongs to France"? You didn't say that Alsace-Lorraine and Corsica belongs to germany? Laughing out loud :P There was never any question of separatist rebels in the United States, this war conserne the abolition of black slavery. You're an idiot illiterate and uneducated racist. Oh... shame on you =D
@Bouddh4 First: The main reason for the American Civil War (1860-1865) was not slavery but State's Rights. Second: I never said that Coriscia belonged to Germany, I did say that Alsace-Lorraine belonged to Germany. Alsace-Lorraine was colonized first by the Alamanni a Germanic tribe in the 4th century. Corisica belonged to Italy, however the Italian Republic of Genoa sold Corsica to France in 1764 and it belongs to France and not Italy. The same goes with Quebec belonging to Canada
@Mickr4 I am looking forward to the day when war breaks out in Canada between Canadian patriots and Quebecois seperatists. This will put an end to the ungratefull and crybaby Quebecois who have failed to move on from the French and Indian War. This time Canadian patriots will give no mercy and no liberal and progressive garbage like the Quebec Act which gave you people rights and freedoms. Quebec belongs to Canada just like how Alsace-Lorraine and Corsica belongs to France.
@Mickr4 Independence will never happen because Canadian patriots will never let it happen. You see Abarahm Linncoln was great when he exterminated the Confederate rebels and destroyed the south's attempt at independence from the union. It is because of Abaraham Lincoln tha the United States remaind together and united. Soon Canada will elect it's own Abraham Lincoln that will destroy the Quebecois seperatists once and for all. After a short civil war in Canada, the traitors will be deported.
@Mickr4 France forced the German populaiton of Alsace-Lorraine to assimiliate and become Frenchmen after the Treaty of Versailles (1919) which forced Germany to give France Alsace-Lorraine after World War 1 (1914-1918). German was banned in official administration, educaitonal system, etc and because of this policy Alsace-Lorraine is very French and has no seperatism. Germans who resisted were sent back to Germany. Canada should do the same thing in Quebec. French Quebecois can go back to France
@Mickr4 You are an idiot. The British people celebrate the Battle of Hastings in which a French Duke (William the Conqueror) killed the King of England (Harold) and the French Normans took over England. The British celebrating this victory shows the maturity of them compared to you insolent and ungratefull SOB's who terrorize anybody from celebrating the Battle of Abraham which did the same thing. This shows you are a bunch of imature children who deserve no rights and no independence.
@Mickr4 You will never get back your land back because it does not belong to you anymore. The province of Quebec belongs to Anglo-Canadians and Canada. The British victory and the French defeat in the French and Indian War (1754-1763) and France making the choice to ceade New France to Great Britain in exchange for the French West Indies in the Treaty of Paris (1763) shows you have no rights to "your lands". Now if you dont like this you can pay for a ticket at Air France and return to France.
@RoyalistCavalier I suggest you one thing, going to the Canadian Parliament to present your idea about the extermination of Quebec ...you'll be ridiculed by the real Anglo-Saxon. I am sure they will burst out laughing ahahah!!!
@Bouddh4 I am not talking about extermination of Quebec, I am talking about exterminating Quebec seperatism once and for all. Abraham Lincoln and the Federal Army defeated the Confederate rebels and exterminated Southern seperatism in a bloody and ciolent civil war. Abarham Linconl is a hero to the United States and is the man who kept the country together. Canada needs an Abraham Lincoln who would send out the Royal Canadian Armed Forces to crush the seperatists in Quebec once and for all.
why do you english seem to hate us so much? can't we only be proud of our language and culture different from everywhere in north america? personally i have nothing against english canadians so i don't know why it should be different from anyone else. past is over, now we're in the present :p all canadians are equal and i don't think that anyone always takes care of a treaty written in the 18th century now that we are in 2011 ^^ ps: if you english would pay us all the travel to france, it would
@doom320 I am fed up with you French Quebecois! The British established English and French as the official languages of both Canada and it's province of Quebec. The British gave you ungratefull backstabbers the Quebec Act of 1774 giving you language, relgious and legal rights. The British did not forcibly assimiliate you like how France forcibily assimiliated German Alsace-Lorrainers and you give Anglo-Quebecers Bills 101 and 22 in return. You dont deserve any rights to your language for this.
@doom320 Go look how your brothers and sisters in France treats is minority languages. Look up Alsace-Lorraine and Language policy in France to see how France is killing and some cases killed such languages as Breton in Brittany and German in Alsace-Lorraine. The British did not creat anti-French laws that are similiar to Bill 101 and Bill 22. For your ungratefullness and backstabbing to the British and Canadians you should be assimiliated into Anglo Canadians and the French language BANNED.
oh and I think that the only ones who had the possibility to return to france where real frenchs, not canadians, but if i was mistaken anyway most of them were not very rich you know and can't afford the travel or to start a new life somewhere else with almost nothing and maybe no known familly because they already were a couple of generations after the first settlers so they known nobody in france
@doom320 Britain defeated France in the French and Indian War (1754-1763) and at the Treaty of Paris (1753) France ceaded New France to Britain in order for it too keep the French West Indies. This makes Quebec Anglophone and not Francophone territory. The French assimiliated the German Alsace-Lorrainers after World War 1 (1914-1918) when they earned the right to Alsace-Lorraine. Tollerance=division and weakness (British Way) and intollerance=unity and strengh (French Way).
@ RoyalistCavalier you don't even know of what you're talking about, we didn't had a true and fair democraty, it was only a fake to make peoples don't complain because they asked to have an assembly chamber and all the rest, all importants roles where held by english and they prevented the frenchs to have real request agreed. And the 101 law is only to preserve oir history, anyway a lot of peoples in Québec have an understandable english even if french is our first language
@doom320 If you need such anti-English language laws such as Bill 101 and Bill 22 to keep alive your language then it should not be kept alive at all and should be allowed to die out and for the French Canadian people in Quebec to assimiliate. You know it was a shame that the British did not followe France's example when they Frenchified Alsace-Lorraine after World War 1 and because of this their is no seperatism or division in that region. The British were stupid to tollerate you pricks.
the way you explain history is the same as what japaese school teach about what happened when they invaded china..they change history to fit their own.
@ataryo Here is a synopsis on British treatment of French in the memoirs of Pierre Trudeau!. The English ensured through the Quebec Act that Lower Canada (Quebec) would maintain her language and legal system. The English did not maintain the Siegneur and Serf systems, the French did. The English did not force the French to attend Catholic schools, the French clergy did. The English did not make the Church the focus of life in Quebec, the French did. The English did not persecute the French.
but we refus. we had bad reputation in that time.but they were stronger than us.more military power.so we were the white nigger of america.they bring slavery(black people) and my people(the native)im half native half quebecer...Im acadian and im proud to quebecer..what it mean to be quebecer..it mean that for more than 400 years we fought to keep our languages and our nation
@ataryo The Acadians should have declared loyalty to His Most Britanic Majesty King George III who would have protected their rights and freedoms like he did to the French Canadians and not get deported from Acadia and sent to the 13 Colonies, France and French West Indies. King George III appointed very progressive and liberal Lieutenant Governors of Quebec like James Murray and Guy Carleton (1st Baron Dorchestor) who saw it that French Canadians got rights and resisted the Francophobes.
@ataryo Son, Quebec is not a "Nation". Quebec is a province of Canada, nothing more and nothing less. Quebec is comprised bascially of 2 culturers and languages and they are English and French. French Canadians are a nation just like English Canadians, Scottish Canadians, Irish Canadians and Welsh Canadians. Quebec has never been a nation, it has either been a colony of France, a colony of Great Britain and a province of Canada. You can be a proud Quebec and a proud Canadian at the same time.
@ataryo I dont speak French because I have made a vow to myselt that I would not learn and speak French until ALL of Quebec's language laws such as Bill 101 (Charter of the French Language) and Bill 22 (Official Language Act) are ABOLISHED and REPLACED with Bill 199 (Charter of the French and English Languages) that would restore English as an official language of Quebec with the same rights and priviliges as French. When this happens, I will be more then happy to learn and speak French ASAP.
@RoyalistCavalier Que de défaite, point de raison! These are not reasons not to learn the language of Molière, you only show your ignorance... Quebec's jurisdiction in legal matters related to international law (right of peoples to self determination) and not canadian law. For this reason the language laws in Quebec are legal!!!
@RoyalistCavalier You say that Québec is not a nation. What is a Nation? Dictionary definition: "Group of people living on a common territory, aware of his unit (historical, cultural, etc..) and constituting a political entity." Oh... shame on you =D
@Bouddh4 French Canadians are a nation just like English Canadians, Scottish Canadians, Irish Canadians and Welsh Canadians. The Constitution Act of 1867 established the province of Quebec as a bilingual and bicultural province where both English and French are co-official languages and have the same rights and priviliges. The province of Quebec is comprised maniny of 2 people's, Anglo Quebecers and Franco Quebecois. So Quebec cant be a nation because Quebec is bicultural and bilingual.
@RoyalistCavalier The act of 1867 provides the only possibility (for minorities in some regions) to receive public services in French or English, here is what does the term "co-official language"of this act. The right of peoples to self-determination, a principle that "every people has a free and sovereign choice to determine the shape of its political system" principle adopted by the United Nations, cancel effect the Act of 1867. [Canada is a signatory to the UN]
@Bouddh4 Listen to me, Quebec has no right to self determination, it belongs to Canada. The British victory over the French in the French and Indian War (1754-1763) and France ceading New France to Great Britain in order to keep the French West Indies in the Treaty of Paris (1763) establishes Canada's right over Quebec. Now if you French Quebecois are not happy about this, then go back to France where you belong and leave us alone. Canadians are tired of you ungratefull and backstabbing bastards
@RoyalistCavalier You say that Quebec is a nation : " go back to France where YOU BELONG " You're right, the Quebecois are a people french. Also you say that Quebeckers are not Canadian, so we belong to another people. The act of 1867 provides the only possibility (for minorities in some regions) to receive public services in French or English, If you want service in English just ask, since Quebecois speak fluently french / english. Oh... shame on you =D
@Bouddh4 You Quiebecois dont own Quebec, Canada does and sooner or later Canadians will get back control over this renegade province just like how China will regain control over it's renegade province of Taiwan. The time for appeasment is ending and sooner or later war will break out and this time there will be no mercy given to the seperatists in Quebec. They will be annilated and the nightmare of it's independence for Quebec destroyed for good. No more Chamberlines and only Churchils form PM.
@Bouddh4 The United Nations is shit to me, I have no respect for the United Nations. It has no buisness in Canada's internal affairs. If one day a Canadian patriot gets elected Prime Minister and he or she decides to declare war on the Quebec seperatists and to annialiate them and kill the nightmare of Quebec seperatism just like how Abaraham Lincoln destroyed the Confederate souithern rebels and killed southern seperatism for ever, the United Nations will keep its nose out or face trouble.
@Bouddh4 Section 133 of the Constitution Act of 1867 declares English and French as the official languages of both the Dominion of Canada and also it's Province of Quebec. In this section, the Federal Government and Courts of Canada and Provincial Government and Courts are to have English and French as their official languages. The Constittuion Act of 1867 declares Canada a bilingual and bicultural country and Quebec a bilingual and bicultural province. It is time to restore this act in Quebec.
@RoyalistCavalier The act of 1867, is now invalid. That is the past. Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ONU -1966): "All peoples have the right to self-determination. By virtue of that right they freely determine their political status and freely pursue their economic, social and cultural ". [Canada is a signatory to this agreement] Quebec is no longer subject to this act of 1867. Oh... shame on you =D
@Bouddh4 Well if you say the Constitution Act of 1867 is not invalid then it is time for Canada to remove all rights given to French Canadians in Quebec. This means that the French language will be banned and that the English language will be imposed on you people. One day there will be a war in Canada just like how there was a war in the United States to put an end to seperatism once and for all and when Anglo Canadians win you bastards will be thrown right back to France where you belong.
@RoyalistCavalier The act of 1867 was replaced by the principle of "right of peoples to self-determination", which means that Canada has no legal jurisdiction over Québec. For this reason the English language cannot be imposed in Québec. There will never be a war in Canada because the government of Canada does not take the risk that Québec become a country. Oh... shame on you =D
@Bouddh4 The United States weatherd its own civil war to put down the Confederate rebels and it in the process destroyed southern nationalism for ever with the cost of 600.000+ deaths and whole cities destroyed and the southern way of life with it. Canada will not shy away from deploying it's military to wipe out the seperatists once and for all. The time for peace is ending and soon the war will begin and this time Canadians will not be as lenient on the loosers this time. No mercy for traitors
@Bouddh4 The German residents of Alsace-Lorraine who did not want to live under French rule and who refused to face thje fact that Alsace-Lorraine now belonged to France and not Germany decided to leave Alsace-Lorraine and returned to Germany. Now if French Quebecois dont like the fact that they are under Canadian rule and who refuse to face the fact that Quebec belongs to Canada and not them can do the samething and leave Quebec and return to France. Canadians will pay for your airfare.
@RoyalistCavalier Alsace-Lorraine is a french name, it means that the territory has always been french and not german. The German are not natives of this region. If Canada decides to attack militarily Quebec, Quebec will be recognized immediately as a free and totally independent (since there would be a violation of human rights on the part of Canada) this would lead to a military intervention by the United Nations in Canada and strong sanctions. Oh... shame on you =D
@Bouddh4 Go fuck yourself Quebec is not a nation and will never be one. Quebecois are a pathetic people who have refused to grow up and recognize that Quebec belongs to Canada. It is time that they leave and return to France. They are guests who have overstayed their welcome. The British should have forced you people back to France instead of giving you any rights at all over language, laws and relgion. BTW Alsace-Lorraine was German first before French go look it up on wikipedia to see.
@RoyalistCavalier You think you're going to teach me the history of my country?!! o_0 The Quebec is renowned for its hospitality, love of life, its rich culture and its language (the language of Molière), its openness to the world, etc. Not like canada or the united states considered peoples completely enclosed on their culture. The fact that you want to exterminate the people of Quebec and you do not understand the Quebec separatist ideological line is a very good example. Oh... shame on you =D
@Bouddh4 Quebec is not your country it belongs to Canada. The Treaty of Paris (1763) gave New France to the British people's when the Kingdom of Great Britain defeated the Kingdom of France in the French and Indian War (1754-1763). I repeat it is not your country. You are just guests of Canada and I believe you have overstayed your welcome and sooner or later you ingrates will be sent back to France where you belong. I can assure you that one day the seperatists will be destroyed and it is soon.
@RoyalistCavalier I'm born in Québec(I'm Quebecer) and my parents are Quebecers. Québec is my contry and I study in France(I also had professors from McGill University). I repeat there will never be a war in canada. I think you don't know what to say, and your knowledge are very poor. Oh...shame on you =D
@Bouddh4 The province of Quebec was never a "Nation". The province of Quebec was either a colony of France, a colony of Great Britain and a province of Canada. It was Great Britain who created the province of Quebec, not once but twice. The British created the province of Quebec (1763-1791) and the province of Quebec (1867-Present Day). The founding people of Quebec just like of Canada are the British and French, so how come you consider Quebec a nation when it is mainly comprised of 2 peoples.
@RoyalistCavalier What is a colony? Dictionary definition: "Territory occupied by individuals of the same nation, outside its own borders." Not to be confused with the Anglo-Saxon colonialism [doctrine legitimizing the occupation, the political domination and economic exploitation of one nation by another nation] exerted on Québec after 1763 until today. Québec has always been a Nation because at first it was a French colony! Oh... shame on you =D
@Bouddh4 Quebec is NOT a nation, get it through your thick skull, I am sick and tired of Quebecois who believe Quebec is a nation and this will stop. Quebec was never a nation but a colony of France or Great Britain and a province of Canada. Now Texas (Texas Republic 1836-1846) and California (California Republic 1846) were nations because they were independent states before joining the United States. I dont care about self determination, if Quebecois want self determination , go back to France.
Peut importe ce que tu diras, cela ne changera rien.''if your not happy, you have many provinces where you can live far away from us''
@ataryo Well son, Quebec belongs to Anglo Canadians and to Canada by the right of the Treaty of Paris (1763) which France ceaded New France to Great Britain in exchange for the French West Indies. The Anglo Canadians are the successors of the British Empire in North America. Better becarefull because one day Anglo Canadians will fight back and drive you ingrates right back to France. You will end up like the American south ended up after the American Civil War in blood and ruins. So STFU asshole
@ataryo I seem to have read in my history books that the British Empire did grant French Canadians the right to move back to France with in 18 months after the signing of the Treaty of Paris (1763) if they did not want to live under British rule and if they hated the British so much. As far as I am concerned this offer still stands and Anglo-Canadians will gladly pay the airfare of French Quebecers who are misserable in Quebec and dont want to live with Anglo Canadians. Flights to France away.
he dont know anything about history...when united states declared their independant, the people who were loyal to the queen run to the north(canada) but we were there...they force us to chnage our way..speak their language...and swear loyalty to the queen....
@ataryo Hey Asshole, you are a retard when you said that the British forced you to speak the English language, they bloody gave you ingrates the Quebec Act of 1774 ensuring your rights in reguards to language (French), Religion (Roman Catholicism) and Law (Civil Law). Dont you dare say that crap. Go look up Alsace-Lorraine and Language policy in France to see how France treated language minorites in France. The British could have done the same to you but they did not. Learn history son.
@ataryo I dont care if you are a minority in North America, the fact remains is that it is 100% wrong for Quebec to have such discrimintory laws such as Bill 101 and Bill 22 that oppresses the English language and removed it as an official language of Quebec and made French the sole official language and made it a 1st class language and English as 2nd class language. The province of Quebec must be a 100% bilingual province where both English and French have the same rights and priviliges.
@ataryo French Canadians are the first French people to get any representive democracy several decades before their brothers and sisters in France itself. French Canadians were spared the horrors of the French revolution which not only saw mass executions by the guilotine in France but also in it's colonies such as Guadeloupe and Martinique. There were not revolutionary mobs roaming Canada and killing thousands of people buy having guilotines arraigned across the Saint Lawrence River.
ok so be respectfull next time and if english come back for be the co-langage. he dont have more people the speaking english in quebec ... he does just have act who decide what people speaking you know people speak langage they want to speak ...
@davipro How come you French Quebecois are not appreactive of the fact that the British gave you your language rights, religious rights and legal rights in the Quebec Act of 1774 and further giving you more rights in the Constitution Act of 1867 which made English and French the official language of Canada and Quebec. What you did in return by creating Bill 101 and Bill 22 is shamefull and these removed the English language as an equal language in Quebec and subjecated the Anglo-Quebecers.
@THELASTHUMAIN The British did have a choice to either allow you ingrates to speak French or bit. Had the British banned the French language in Quebec and if the French Canadians rebelled against this and started an inserection against the colonial authorities then the British Royal Army and British American Militamen would have been sent into to kill the rebels and to either exterminate them or mass deport them which they could have done. The British were liberal and progressive people moron.
sorry I dont speak english very well. Im proud to be quebecois and to speak french. and english dont dying you are paranoid on this point. english increasing each years you know. and your history fact dont interest me. past is past and now only future count. and never he have military conflict in the future. nobody want fight for language, and canada dont fight us cause we are most important than british for them ... wait for response I finish in my next commz
@davipro I hate to break it to you pal but you are not important and never have been, The British and Canadians were the ones who ran the colonial government and economy of Canada and they did it with out the Quebecois people. The Quebecois people back then were more content to remain on their farms and not to choose to educate themselves and remained in the dark ages under the control by their Priests. Anglo Canadians chose education and enlightenment and this is why they ruled Canada.
@RoyalistCavalier ok first who are you ... and why do you hate french langage at all ...
you realy think people want war for your stupid conviction royalistcavalier. nobody want war you are the only guy who think people merit to die cause they speak french ... and he have no reason to invade quebec for genocide cause we speak french and you dont know anything about us ... were do you learn how we minding and thinking cause this source are false
@davipro I have no problem with the French language and culture of Quebec aslong as the English language and culture in the province gets the same rights and priviliges as their French counterparts. If Quebec restore's English as an offricial language of Quebec along with French and make English on signs, etc the same size of French then I wont have the anger that I have at the French language and culture of Quebec. The Constitution Act of 1867, established English and French in Quebec.
@ataryo The British protected the French language in former French colonies that became British colonies. The British established both English and French over such colonies as Canada, Saint Lucia, Dominica, The Seychelles, Mauriticus, Vanatu and the Channel Islands. Such laws as Bill 22 (Official Language Act) and Bill 101 (Charter of the French Language) were unnessary to protect the French language in Quebec, the Constitution Act of 1867 and the Quebec Act of 1774 already did that.
@davipro Both English and French Quebecers lived in peace and harmoney before you fascist politicans and voters established Bill 101 and Bill 22 that stripped the English language of it's equality with the French language and transformed Quebec from an English-French bilingual province like New Brunswick to a French unilingual province like it is today. English and French languages and cultures have live together if both are equal. Get rid of the language laws and you get rid of the tension.
@davipro Here is a fact on "British persectuion of French Quebecois". Under colonial rule, the British colonial authorities appointed many French Quebecois to posisitons of immense power like appointing them as Lieutenant Governor of Quebec, Mayors of Montreal and Quebec City, Members of Parliament of both Quebec and Canada, appointing them to cabinent ministries in both the provincial and federal governments. The British also knighted 31 French Quebecois Knights of the British Empire as reward
@davipro Look son, I dont understand French, I would like you to speak to me in English. Now if Quebec had remained an English-French bilingual province like it was surpose to be, I would have taken the time to learn and speak French, but since the language fascists in Quebec wont change their polices and restore English as an official language and be given the same rights and priviliges as French, well I have decided to boycot the French language until such times have changed.
@davipro The United Nations wont protect the Quebecois if one day Canadians decide to stop appeasing you ingrates and instead of using the carrot (appeasement) which has failed have now to decide to use the stick (Martial Law) would be much more successful. When an Abaraham Lincoln or a Winston Churchil is elected as PM of Canada, your leaders days are numbered and they will have to run for their lives when they see Canadian tropps and tanks, apcs, jets and warships comming at them.
@RoyalistCavalier in canada quebec are in the most important place with ottawa we are the entrance of the St-laurent and we control mariritme in canada entrance. we have too one of the 2 airbase in canada most of ground base. military research center, and de special operation troups post...
@davipro Here is a fact Pierre!. Quebec is surrounded by Ottawa in the West and New Brunswick to the east and the Royal Canadian Armed Forces can invade and sqeeze you people like how I would squeeze a grape. Canada does have allies in the British Commonwealth like Great Britain, Australia and New Zealand who will send in their Royal Armed Forces to aide us against you and in the end you will wind up just like the American south after the civil war, bloodied and in ruins. Dont mess with us.
@davipro I am looking forward to the day when war will break out between Canadian patriots and Quebecois seperatists. The appeasment of the Quebecois fascist voters and politicans over the past 40+ years have brought nothing possitive and it has only emboldend them. Now we wont start this war, we will be waiting for a Quebecois terrorist group like the FLQ to start it when they start unleashing a wave of terrorism, when they do this the kidgloves are of and prepare for civil war.
@davipro Sooner or later the English language will be restored as an official language of Quebec. Now the Quebecois have a choice they can do it the easy way by abolishing their language laws like Bill 101 (Charter of the French Language) and replace it with Bill 199 (Charter of the French and English Languages) which would be done the democratic way and remain peacefull or risk the election of an Abaraham Lincoln who will send in the military into Quebec to do this by more bloodier means.
@davipro Go read Section 133 of the Constitution Act of 1867. This section already protected and preserved the French language in Quebec when it was made the co-official language along with English in such institutions as the Legislative Assembly and the Courts of Quebec. There was no need for such anti-English language laws to protect and preseve French in Quebec, it was already done. I dont care if Quebec is majority French, English is a part of Quebec and will become a part of it again.
@davipro When the British took over New France, they appointed liberal and progressive people like Guy Carleton and James Murrary who protected the French community from rabid Francophobes from the 13 Colonies who wanted to destroy the French language, Catholic relgion and French civil law and who wanted to impose the English language, Protestantism and English Common Law over them. Your leaders in Quebec have done the opposite with the English language and culture in Quebec.
@ataryo Your ancestors should have left Canada if they felt like they were being persecuted by the British. The Citizens of New France were given 18 months to leave Canada if they did not want to live under British rule and its a shame that they fhey did not leave and stayed in Canada to make everyones life a complete missery. The British shoulde have never given you people any rights and should have assimiliated you assholes just like what Lord Durham reconmended. You are a pathetic people.
@RoyalistCavalier s o you think it was right to do this?? are you out of your mind?we were here and live here in harmony with the first nation(im half native)so plz spare me you nonsense
@ataryo No one is native to the America's son. Native Americans did not originate in the America's, they originated in Asia and to be prescise in Siberia. Native Americans (Native Siberians) migrated to the America's during the last ice age (Younger Dryas) which occured about 10,000 years ago. These people walked on a bridge of ice that connected modern day Siberia (Russian Federation) to Alaska (United States).
BTW. The first people in the America's were the Solutreans from Europe!
we quebecer are proud of what we are..but our only problem is that we are too scare of what other people might think of us( old country side way of thinking)
@mozmoz52 Quebec Anglais-Francais. I am not going to call you people French Canadians because you and not and I am going to call you French people living in North America. I believe it is time that you French people living in North America that are causing language problems and disunity in Canada go back and return to France where you belong. The BNA Act of 1867 declared both English and French as official languages of Canada and it's province of Quebec. So Quebec is English and French
@RoyalistCavalier You should review your history because the French were the first to settle in the Americas and "Canadians" is a name of French origin. So I think we(Quebecers) are Canadians, more than you!!! Québec is not "English and French". The Charter of the French language consider the French as the only official language so English is not recognized. BNA Act of 1867? Quebec's status is a matter of international law...
@Bouddh4 The British defeated the French for New Francew in the French and Indian War (1754-1763) to claim it and it was the French who ceaded New France to the British in exchange for the French West Indies in the Treaty of Paris (1763) so all of Canada (Quebec includeded) belongs to the Anglo Canadian people who are the successors of the British Empire in North America and not you ungreatefull loosers. It does not matter if the French were in Canada first.
@davipro You Quebecois cunts want a war, well you will have it and if it takes a bloody civil war to finaly elimate you parasites from both Canada and it's province of Quebec then so be it. The British won the rights to own and govern Quebec when they defeated the French in the French and Indian War (1754-1763) and the French willingly gave you assholes up to retain their sugar plantations in the West Indies. Canadians are the successors of the British. You are not citizens but are guests.
@davipro You French Qebecois shitheads should never have been given any rights and freedoms in reguards of language, laws and religion in the Quebec Act of 1774 and should have been driven out of Canada when the British gave your retarded ancestors 18 months to leave if they did not want to remain under British rule, it is shame that they did not leave, but it is never to late. One day when Canadian patriots take over you will be expelled right back to France where you belong.
@davipro The British and Anglo-Canadians worked hard to make Quebec into the industrial heartland of the Dominion of Canada and to make both Montreal and Quebec City into the richest and most prosperious cities in the country untill you retarded assholes ruined it. Because of you idiots, Quebec is a backwater province with no future and both Montreal and Quebec City have been transformed into Detroit style waistlands. You are totally unfit to govern yourselves and must be governed by Candians.
@davipro The Anglo-Quebecers will no longer tollerate you fucking ingrates. The British gave you fucking rights and freedoms in both the Quebec Act of 1774 and the Constittuion Act of 1867, to which you have abused and used against the Anglo-Quebec people and against the English language and culture of Quebec. Well you have forfitted your rights and freedoms because you dont deserve them and one day you will be treated like the traitors and filth that you are. No more appeasement of you pricks.
@davipro The French were right in not giving the German Alsace-Lorrainers any rights over language. France was smart and banned German in Alsace-Lorraine in such fields as official administration, city and street names and the educational system, etc and because of this their is no language division and no seperatism and Alsace-Lorraine is very French. The British were stupid to give you the Quebec and Constitituion Acts and should have done to you what the French did to Alsace-Lorrainers.
@davipro I dont understand French Pierre, FYI I am not talking about genocide at all. I dont believe in mass murder or extermination of troublesome people no matter how moronic and stupid they are. I believe in the Lord Durham way of getting rid of a troublesome people who cause disunity and division in Canada and this either by assimiliation like how Frane assimiliated the German Alsace-Lorrainers or mass deporation in which the British expelled the Acadians from Nova Scotia in 1755.
@davipro Now had you assholes had followed the Constitution Act of 1867 which declared English and French as the official languages of both the Dominion of Canada (Federal Government and Courts) and the province of Quebec (Provincial Government and Courts) and had not removed English as an official language of Quebec by establishing Bill 101 and Bill 22 then I would be a defender of the French language and culture of Quebec. No son, you Quebecois bit the hand that protected your language.
@davipro We British are far from racist against you idiot French people. We did not establish English versions of Bill 101 (Charter of the French Language) and Bill 22 (Official Language Act) with the sole aim of destroing French language and culture in Canada and in the province of Quebec, no we gave you the Quebec and Constitution Rights which protected French language and culture in Canada and Quebec. You are the ones who are racist and who are trying to destroy English in Quebec.
@davipro Quebec is NOT French and it has not been since 1763, since 1763, Quebec has been BOTH French and English when the British established both English and French as Co-Official Languages of the Province of Quebec (1763-1791), Province of Lower Canada (1791-1841), Province of Canada (1841-1867), Dominion of Canada (1867-Present Day) and Province of Quebec (1867-1974 when English was removed as an Official Language by you bigoted Quebecois). This treachory makes you a pathetic shitty people.
@davipro You know what son, Quebec was just fine before you assholes decided to remove English as an Official Language of Quebec by establishing Bill 22 (Official Language Act) and later Bill 101 (Charter of the French Language) because you were paranoid that the French language was dying in Quebec which was bullshit. French survived very well when both English and French were co-official languages from 1763-1974 (211 years) in those years did the French language die out. Answer HELL NO.
@davipro You people are the most ungratefull people in history. The British protected and preserved your language and culture in the Quebec Act of 1774 and in this act, they gave you rights over language, laws and relgion and they also established the Constitution Act of 1867, in which French was made a co-olfficial language of Canada and Quebec and you ingrates repaid this act of tollerance by removing English in Quebec and by creating Bill 22 and Bill 101. You are beyong contempt and shame.
@davipro I dont mind being called racist at all, in fact I call it a badge of honour. I will not bow to political correctness and I will not cower at being called a racist by traitors. Being called a racist today is loosing all meaing because of such shit like being against Obamacare. Anyone who is against Obamacare is labeled a racist and even those who are black. The only racist are the Quebecois people who have created racist laws like Bill 101. Why dont you leave and go back to France Pierre
Millions of English speakers from the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand and the Rest of Canada should immigrate to the province of Quebec to Anglicise it and make it into an English province. Quebec City and Montreal would be much wealthier and better places to live in if these cities became English. The British should have assimiliated the French Quebecois people like how France assimiliated the German Alsace-Lorrainer people. If they had done this Quebec would be better.
@RoyalistCavalier wow we can see a little fascism emerging from your comment .... or maybe you are just simple minded archaic person who cannot consider the real facts...... wealth is made by making profit of others like colonies and your landmarks(as you call them) are just the mask, the diversion made to hide the misery that a royalist empire spreads everywhere... you're late two centuries in your mind...... culture is like jam, the less you have, the more you spread it. hahahaha

I'm a french canadian "not by choice" but that's what i am... If there is another vote to get out of Canada you dont have shit to say about my vote neither can you say that i'm a traitor you jerk!
Mickr4 9 months ago
@Mickr4 Son, France gave away New France to Great Britain in the Treaty of Paris (1763) in order to keep the French West Indies because they were more valued with their rich sugar trade then New france's poor fur trade. I am sorry to say this to you but, the French did not care about you and were very quick to abandon you. Voltraire once called New France "A few acres of snow" to show contempt at you. No Quebec was not taken by force it was given to Great Britain by France.
So SFTU.
RoyalistCavalier 9 months ago
"Alsace-Lorraine and Corsica belongs to France"? You didn't say that Alsace-Lorraine and Corsica belongs to germany? Laughing out loud :P There was never any question of separatist rebels in the United States, this war conserne the abolition of black slavery. You're an idiot illiterate and uneducated racist. Oh... shame on you =D
Bouddh4 9 months ago

Quebec belongs to Canada just like how Alsace-Lorraine and Corsica belongs to France.
stop being hypocrite
RoyalistCavalier 9 months ago

RoyalistCavalier 9 months ago
@Mickr4 You are an idiot. The British people celebrate the Battle of Hastings in which a French Duke (William the Conqueror) killed the King of England (Harold) and the French Normans took over England. The British celebrating this victory shows the maturity of them compared to you insolent and ungratefull SOB's who terrorize anybody from celebrating the Battle of Abraham which did the same thing. This shows you are a bunch of imature children who deserve no rights and no independence.
RoyalistCavalier 9 months ago
@Mickr4 You will never get back your land back because it does not belong to you anymore. The province of Quebec belongs to Anglo-Canadians and Canada. The British victory and the French defeat in the French and Indian War (1754-1763) and France making the choice to ceade New France to Great Britain in exchange for the French West Indies in the Treaty of Paris (1763) shows you have no rights to "your lands". Now if you dont like this you can pay for a ticket at Air France and return to France.
RoyalistCavalier 9 months ago
@RoyalistCavalier I suggest you one thing, going to the Canadian Parliament to present your idea about the extermination of Quebec ...you'll be ridiculed by the real Anglo-Saxon. I am sure they will burst out laughing ahahah!!!
Bouddh4 9 months ago
@Bouddh4 I am not talking about extermination of Quebec, I am talking about exterminating Quebec seperatism once and for all. Abraham Lincoln and the Federal Army defeated the Confederate rebels and exterminated Southern seperatism in a bloody and ciolent civil war. Abarham Linconl is a hero to the United States and is the man who kept the country together. Canada needs an Abraham Lincoln who would send out the Royal Canadian Armed Forces to crush the seperatists in Quebec once and for all.

doom320 10 months ago
@doom320 I am fed up with you French Quebecois! The British established English and French as the official languages of both Canada and it's province of Quebec. The British gave you ungratefull backstabbers the Quebec Act of 1774 giving you language, relgious and legal rights. The British did not forcibly assimiliate you like how France forcibily assimiliated German Alsace-Lorrainers and you give Anglo-Quebecers Bills 101 and 22 in return. You dont deserve any rights to your language for this.
RoyalistCavalier 9 months ago
@doom320 Go look how your brothers and sisters in France treats is minority languages. Look up Alsace-Lorraine and Language policy in France to see how France is killing and some cases killed such languages as Breton in Brittany and German in Alsace-Lorraine. The British did not creat anti-French laws that are similiar to Bill 101 and Bill 22. For your ungratefullness and backstabbing to the British and Canadians you should be assimiliated into Anglo Canadians and the French language BANNED.
RoyalistCavalier 9 months ago
oh and I think that the only ones who had the possibility to return to france where real frenchs, not canadians, but if i was mistaken anyway most of them were not very rich you know and can't afford the travel or to start a new life somewhere else with almost nothing and maybe no known familly because they already were a couple of generations after the first settlers so they known nobody in france
doom320 10 months ago
@doom320 Britain defeated France in the French and Indian War (1754-1763) and at the Treaty of Paris (1753) France ceaded New France to Britain in order for it too keep the French West Indies. This makes Quebec Anglophone and not Francophone territory. The French assimiliated the German Alsace-Lorrainers after World War 1 (1914-1918) when they earned the right to Alsace-Lorraine. Tollerance=division and weakness (British Way) and intollerance=unity and strengh (French Way).
RoyalistCavalier 9 months ago
@ RoyalistCavalier you don't even know of what you're talking about, we didn't had a true and fair democraty, it was only a fake to make peoples don't complain because they asked to have an assembly chamber and all the rest, all importants roles where held by english and they prevented the frenchs to have real request agreed. And the 101 law is only to preserve oir history, anyway a lot of peoples in Québec have an understandable english even if french is our first language
doom320 10 months ago
@doom320 If you need such anti-English language laws such as Bill 101 and Bill 22 to keep alive your language then it should not be kept alive at all and should be allowed to die out and for the French Canadian people in Quebec to assimiliate. You know it was a shame that the British did not followe France's example when they Frenchified Alsace-Lorraine after World War 1 and because of this their is no seperatism or division in that region. The British were stupid to tollerate you pricks.
RoyalistCavalier 9 months ago

@ataryo Here is a synopsis on British treatment of French in the memoirs of Pierre Trudeau!. The English ensured through the Quebec Act that Lower Canada (Quebec) would maintain her language and legal system. The English did not maintain the Siegneur and Serf systems, the French did. The English did not force the French to attend Catholic schools, the French clergy did. The English did not make the Church the focus of life in Quebec, the French did. ataryo 10 months ago
RoyalistCavalier 10 months ago
@ataryo Son, Quebec is not a "Nation". Quebec is a province of Canada, nothing more and nothing less. Quebec is comprised bascially of 2 culturers and languages and they are English and French. French Canadians are a nation just like English Canadians, Scottish Canadians, Irish Canadians and Welsh Canadians. Quebec has never been a nation, it has either been a colony of France, a colony of Great Britain and a province of Canada. You can be a proud Quebec and a proud Canadian at the same time.

@RoyalistCavalier the funny thing is you like to debate but it seem you cannot speak & write in french
ataryo 10 months ago

Bouddh4 9 months ago
@Bouddh4 French Canadians are a nation just like English Canadians, Scottish Canadians, Irish Canadians and Welsh Canadians. The Constitution Act of 1867 established the province of Quebec as a bilingual and bicultural province where both English and French are co-official languages and have the same rights and priviliges. The province of Quebec is comprised maniny of 2 people's, Anglo Quebecers and Franco Quebecois. So Quebec cant be a nation because Quebec is bicultural and bilingual.
RoyalistCavalier 9 months ago
@RoyalistCavalier The act of 1867 provides the only possibility (for minorities in some regions) to receive public services in French or English, here is what does the term "co-official language"of this act. The right of peoples to self-determination, a principle that "every people has a free and sovereign choice to determine the shape of its political system" principle adopted by the United Nations, cancel effect the Act of 1867. [Canada is a signatory to the UN]
Bouddh4 9 months ago
@Bouddh4 Listen to me, Quebec has no right to self determination, it belongs to Canada. The British victory over the French in the French and Indian War (1754-1763) and France ceading New France to Great Britain in order to keep the French West Indies in the Treaty of Paris (1763) establishes Canada's right over Quebec. Now if you French Quebecois are not happy about this, then go back to France where you belong and leave us alone. Canadians are tired of you ungratefull and backstabbing bastards
RoyalistCavalier 9 months ago
@RoyalistCavalier You say that Quebec is a nation : " go back to France where YOU BELONG " You're right, the Quebecois are a people french. Also you say that Quebeckers are not Canadian, so we belong to another people. The act of 1867 provides the only possibility (for minorities in some regions) to receive public services in French or English, If you want service in English just ask, since Quebecois speak fluently french / english. Oh... shame on you =D
Bouddh4 9 months ago
@Bouddh4 You Quiebecois dont own Quebec, Canada does and sooner or later Canadians will get back control over this renegade province just like how China will regain control over it's renegade province of Taiwan. The time for appeasment is ending and sooner or later war will break out and this time there will be no mercy given to the seperatists in Quebec. They will be annilated and the nightmare of it's independence for Quebec destroyed for good. No more Chamberlines and only Churchils form PM.
RoyalistCavalier 9 months ago
@Bouddh4 The United Nations is shit to me, I have no respect for the United Nations. It has no buisness in Canada's internal affairs. If one day a Canadian patriot gets elected Prime Minister and he or she decides to declare war on the Quebec seperatists and to annialiate them and kill the nightmare of Quebec seperatism just like how Abaraham Lincoln destroyed the Confederate souithern rebels and killed southern seperatism for ever, the United Nations will keep its nose out or face trouble.
RoyalistCavalier 9 months ago
@Bouddh4 Section 133 of the Constitution Act of 1867 declares English and French as the official languages of both the Dominion of Canada and also it's Province of Quebec. In this section, the Federal Government and Courts of Canada and Provincial Government and Courts are to have English and French as their official languages. The Constittuion Act of 1867 declares Canada a bilingual and bicultural country and Quebec a bilingual and bicultural province. It is time to restore this act in Quebec.
RoyalistCavalier 9 months ago
@RoyalistCavalier The act of 1867, is now invalid. That is the past. Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ONU -1966): "All peoples have the right to self-determination. By virtue of that right they freely determine their political status and freely pursue their economic, social and cultural ". [Canada is a signatory to this agreement] Quebec is no longer subject to this act of 1867. Oh... shame on you =D
Bouddh4 9 months ago
@Bouddh4 Well if you say the Constitution Act of 1867 is not invalid then it is time for Canada to remove all rights given to French Canadians in Quebec. This means that the French language will be banned and that the English language will be imposed on you people. One day there will be a war in Canada just like how there was a war in the United States to put an end to seperatism once and for all and when Anglo Canadians win you bastards will be thrown right back to France where you belong.
RoyalistCavalier 9 months ago
@RoyalistCavalier The act of 1867 was replaced by the principle of "right of peoples to self-determination", which means that Canada has no legal jurisdiction over Québec. For this reason the English language cannot be imposed in Québec. There will never be a war in Canada because the government of Canada does not take the risk that Québec become a country. Oh... shame on you =D
Bouddh4 9 months ago

RoyalistCavalier 9 months ago
@RoyalistCavalier Alsace-Lorraine is a french name, it means that the territory has always been french and not german. The German are not natives of this region. If Canada decides to attack militarily Quebec, Quebec will be recognized immediately as a free and totally independent (since there would be a violation of human rights on the part of Canada) this would lead to a military intervention by the United Nations in Canada and strong sanctions. Oh... shame on you =D
Bouddh4 9 months ago

Bouddh4 9 months ago
@Bouddh4 Quebec is not your country it belongs to Canada. The Treaty of Paris (1763) gave New France to the British people's when the Kingdom of Great Britain defeated the Kingdom of France in the French and Indian War (1754-1763). I repeat it is not your country. You are just guests of Canada and I believe you have overstayed your welcome and sooner or later you ingrates will be sent back to France where you belong. I can assure you that one day the seperatists will be destroyed and it is soon.

RoyalistCavalier 9 months ago
@RoyalistCavalier What is a colony? Dictionary definition: "Territory occupied by individuals of the same nation, outside its own borders." Not to be confused with the Anglo-Saxon colonialism [doctrine legitimizing the occupation, the political domination and economic exploitation of one nation by another nation] exerted on Québec after 1763 until today. Québec has always been a Nation because at first it was a French colony! Oh... shame on you =D
Bouddh4 9 months ago
@Bouddh4 Quebec is NOT a nation, get it through your thick skull, I am sick and tired of Quebecois who believe Quebec is a nation and this will stop. Quebec was never a nation but a colony of France or Great Britain and a province of Canada. Now Texas (Texas Republic 1836-1846) and California (California Republic 1846) were nations because they were independent states before joining the United States. I dont care about self determination, if Quebecois want self determination , go back to France.

RoyalistCavalier 10 months ago
@ataryo I seem to have read in my history books that the British Empire did grant French Canadians the right to move back to France with in 18 months after the signing of the Treaty of Paris (1763) if they did not want to live under British rule and if they hated the British so much. As far as I am concerned this offer still stands and Anglo-Canadians will gladly pay the airfare of French Quebecers who are misserable in Quebec and dont want to live with Anglo Canadians. Flights to France away.

RoyalistCavalier 10 months ago
@ataryo I dont care if you are a minority in North America, the fact remains is that it is 100% wrong for Quebec to have such discrimintory laws such as Bill 101 and Bill 22 that oppresses the English language and removed it as an official language of Quebec and made French the sole official language and made it a 1st class language and English as 2nd class language. The province of Quebec must be a 100% bilingual province where both English and French have the same rights and priviliges.
RoyalistCavalier 10 months ago
@ataryo French Canadians are the first French people to get any representive democracy several decades before their brothers and sisters in France itself. French Canadians were spared the horrors of the French revolution which not only saw mass executions by the guilotine in France but also in it's colonies such as Guadeloupe and Martinique. There were not revolutionary mobs roaming Canada and killing thousands of people buy having guilotines arraigned across the Saint Lawrence River.

What you did in return by creating Bill 101 and Bill 22 is shamefull and these removed the English language as an equal language in Quebec and subjecated the Anglo-Quebecers.

@davipro I hate to break it to you pal but you are not important and never have been, The British and Canadians were the ones who ran the colonial government and economy of Canada and they did it with out the Quebecois people. Anglo Canadians chose education and enlightenment and this is why they ruled Canada.

The Constitution Act of 1867, established English and French in Quebec.

ataryo 10 months ago
@ataryo The British protected the French language in former French colonies that became British colonies. The British established both English and French over such colonies as Canada, Saint Lucia, Dominica, The Seychelles, Mauriticus, Vanatu and the Channel Islands. Such laws as Bill 22 (Official Language Act) and Bill 101 (Charter of the French Language) were unnessary to protect the French language in Quebec, the Constitution Act of 1867 and the Quebec Act of 1774 already did that.
RoyalistCavalier 10 months ago
@davipro Both English and French Quebecers lived in peace and harmoney before you fascist politicans and voters established Bill 101 and Bill 22 that stripped the English language of it's equality with the French language and transformed Quebec from an English-French bilingual province like New Brunswick to a French unilingual province like it is today. English and French languages and cultures have live together if both are equal. Get rid of the language laws and you get rid of the tension.
RoyalistCavalier 10 months ago
@davipro Here is a fact on "British persectuion of French Quebecois". Under colonial rule, the British colonial authorities appointed many French Quebecois to posisitons of immense power like appointing them as Lieutenant Governor of Quebec, Mayors of Montreal and Quebec City, Members of Parliament of both Quebec and Canada, appointing them to cabinent ministries in both the provincial and federal governments. The British also knighted 31 French Quebecois Knights of the British Empire as reward

@davipro Look son, I dont understand French, I would like you to speak to me in English. RoyalistCavalier 10 months ago
@davipro The United Nations wont protect the Quebecois if one day Canadians decide to stop appeasing you ingrates and instead of using the carrot (appeasement) which has failed have now to decide to use the stick (Martial Law) would be much more successful. @davipro Sooner or later the English language will be restored as an official language of Quebec. RoyalistCavalier 10 months ago

RoyalistCavalier 10 months ago
@davipro Quebec is NOT French and it has not been since 1763, since 1763, Quebec has been BOTH French and English when the British established both English and French as Co-Official Languages of the Province of Quebec (1763-1791), Province of Lower Canada (1791-1841), Province of Canada (1841-1867), Dominion of Canada (1867-Present Day) and Province of Quebec (1867-1974 when English was removed as an Official Language by you bigoted Quebecois). This treachory makes you a pathetic shitty people.
RoyalistCavalier 10 months ago
@davipro You know what son, Quebec was just fine before you assholes decided to remove English as an Official Language of Quebec by establishing Bill 22 (Official Language Act) and later Bill 101 (Charter of the French Language) because you were paranoid that the French language was dying in Quebec which was bullshit. French survived very well when both English and French were co-official languages from 1763-1974 (211 years) in those years did the French language die out. Answer HELL NO.
RoyalistCavalier 10 months ago

RoyalistCavalier 1 year ago

@RoyalistCavalier wow we can see a little fascism emerging from your comment .... or maybe you are just simple minded archaic person who cannot consider the real facts...... wealth is made by making profit of others like colonies and your landmarks(as you call them) are just the mask, the diversion made to hide the misery that a royalist empire spreads everywhere... you're late two centuries in your mind...... culture is like jam, the less you have, the more you spread it. hahahaha
