  • no it's on private land in longwood.

  • @lot335 is this is Tampa? There's a place to mud we call the power lines there and wasnt sure if this was it.

  • That orange truck would rip with a locker up front. I'm guessing the front diff assembly or CV joints aren't up to that kind of abuse, which is why the truck isn't fitted with any.

  • @mikeb1444 - you nailed it, this video is old lots of changes to the truck since, still have IFS under the front, will drive the front till can’t drive it no more and it will have a straight axle.

  • @lot335

You know you have a big offset when you have more mud on top of the truck than you do on the sides.

That's really the only downfall of IFS, is the toughness of the front assembly.. I'm glad I'm on the street truck side of things.

  • @mikeb1444 - I like street trucks to, but you cant "cut up" on the street like you can out in the woods, drink, shoot, donuts, jump or what ever. plus you can bring out a Peice o sht and have just as much fun as someone in a beastly truck.

  • @lot335 Yeah, that's true. That's why I kept my truck stock. I get some ground clearance, etc. I'm thinking of an engine swap though. The 4.3 is a good engine, but I'm eyeing an aluminum v8.. It's on my page if you want to take a look.

  • @mikeb1444 - cool, I rebuilt this motor about 6 or & 7,000 miles ago, and the manual tans, went 30 over and 8.5 to1 pistons stock cam, balanced to the flywheel, and heads rebuilt for just under $2000 minus the trany work.

  • @mikeb1444 - cool, I rebuilt this motor about 6 or & 7,000 miles ago, and the manual tans, went 30 over and 8.5 to1 pistons stock cam, balanced to the flywheel, and heads rebuilt for just under $2000 minus the trany work.this is an old vid, go to my channnel for the latest.

  • @lot335

That's not a bad price at all. Nice!

  • maybe this could be a training vid for idiots thinking they are mudding by going through a puddle

  • @The408709 thanks, but if a puddle is all you got to play with, what you going to do? ;)

  • wow thats some serious shit right there.

  • thats wat you call panic mudding

  • hey if anybody is sellin or knos someone getin rid of a chevy or gmc that has just the 305 idc how many miles but i just need a truck and a reliable one to get me back and forth to school til i can get a better one, just message me if anybody is sellin or knos someone that wants to get rid of one thanks yall

  • chevy power all the way

  • my dad has a 98 gmc 4x4. it has a 5l vortec v8. what would it be in cubic inches

  • @limabeanz24 5.7 = 350 ci so 5.0 is like a 305 ci?

  • @lot335 It's that or a 327. Or that might be the newer Chevy's.

  • @auburnboy141 chevy stopped making 327s a long time ago. 5.3 is a 323. 5.7 is a 350.

  • @limabeanz24 mines a 305 5l vortec, 1997 sierra. they got ballz for a 305 lol more then i expected and its got just over 300,000 km on it.

  • @orgmonk - the red one is mine, has a 5.7 Liter vortec now the motor is a few years old, about 5k mles on it, but is .30 over, makes it like 355CI or like 5.81740772 Litrer.

most recent vidio "Power Lines, Oct 4, Davids Chevy"

  • @lot335 was just saying to limabeanz24 that it would be a 305ci motor if its a stock 5l vortec.

  • @orgmonk TY, I new that but if it's one thing I've learned in life is to "commit to nothing" unless you’re forced to.

  • @orgmonk i'm tryin to look for a chevy or gmc that has just the 305, my ex had one it was a 96 i think. damn good gas mileage and didnt take that much to fill up. i love chevy and gmc

  • @orgmonk- You think the Stock 305's got balls, Try a jasper 305. cost ya 5k but its worth it. Mean as Hell.

  • @limabeanz24 well im sure its a 302cu becaues ford has a 302 5.0 and chevy might have the same im a chevy guy i know a 5.3 is 327 and 5.7 is 350 and so on

  • @pilotryver - if it's Chevy it's not a 302 it's a 305, 302 is Ford

  • @pilotryver yea 5.7 350 and 5.3 327 im pretty sure 5.0 is 305 i know chevy had a 302 in the late 60s camero z/28 packge and in the 60s cameros the 302 was the 4.9

  • @pilotryver just remembered that I had a 64 Galaxy with a ford 305. so I guess they come in all sizes and years. lol

  • something makes me want to listen to bob seger all of the sudden.. haa Like a rock gentleman... I drive a 96 Tahoe 4x4 Vortec 5.7.. its holds its own

  • THE TIRES DO NOT STICK OUT AS FAR AS THEY APPEAR, THE VIDIO IS SCEWED !, GET OVER IT !. IF YOU DONT WANT TO BELIEVE ME GO AWAY !

  • i am a chevy man all the way but i never got why people went with wider tires but stock diameter. you are better off with skinnier and taller tires and plus it doesnt look at funny having a short truck and a really wide stance if you know what i mean. Just my opinion though to each there own. ps i own an 83 full size jimmy diesel and lifted with 38s =)

  • @justalittlecrazy09 the tires are not as wide as they apear, 37x18x13.5, the video is warped, but they do stick out,,if they didn't stick out you wouldn't be able to turn around in a wallmart parking lot.

  • @justalittlecrazy09 Thats not true. The skinnier tires you have the more prone you are to sinking into the mud. Ever seen trucks with tractor tires? Ever notice how when they go through mud they sink faster than the other trucks?

  • @justalittlecrazy09 skinny tires are always the best option. big fat tires let you float up on top of the water/mud while skinny tires sink down to the bottom and grab on the the hard dirt.

  • Favorite model right there. Nothing can stop it

  • this looks like the classic chevy truck commercial

  • their is nothing better then a chevy

  • Nice truck man i got almost the same one but gmc them old trucks just dont die no matter what u through at them!!! :)

  • Now that is what I call truck. Only a Chevy!

  • Man, this is the best kinda wheelin

  • Sick diggen man!!!!

  • nice were was that filmed at

  • i hear you buddy. im just sayin that they arent these 12 foot high trucks with rediculas lifts and tires

  • this is what i call mudding! none of that water bullshit and fricken trucks that have thousands of dollars in them! just some regular guys having a goodtime! keepem spinning boys!

  • @jessewilson1980 - i'm a regular guy but I need to set you strait on green backs it takes to keep these things going, ive been beeting the red truck for 12 years, there is ALLWAYS 2 or 3 things at all times that need to be fixed, and a ton of mods done and need to be done, If you want to play like a reneck you got to pay like a redneck.

  • @lot335 Nice way to put it, haha. I'll remember that for awhile. "If you want to play like a redneck, you go to pay like a redneck".

  • @lot335 i hear ya thats why i just bought me a new muddin four wheeler ...lol gettin sick of goin thru 700r trannys every year, and ball joints every 3 months, and recently my 350 started knockin, i got a few vids of my truck muddin , sits stock on 32 MT's

  • Dressed for the occasion, got er done son, look at the ole z go

  • 98 Z71. IFS to SFA. Happy with the results. Less time and money plus better durability.

  • GOOD TIMES!!!

  • hey lot335 i got a 90 chevy z71 cranked torsion bars a lil and a aftermarket 15 in wheel with 32.11.50 bfg MTs...you have any trouble with your IFS? i can't keep mine alligned...well the truck drives straight but the steering wheel is a lil crooked ...thinking of gettin a lift for mine but everyone tells me its a waste of money cause the IFS isn't strong enough for abuse

  • I break everything. I beet the snot out of that truck every chance I get, as a matter of fact there is 3 things wrong with it now including the front diff that is exploded. It will be strait axled someday, but I have a lot of IFS parts for rebuilds.

  • @lot335

so does that mean you do have trouble with the front end? i've gone through 2 sets of ball joints, and control arms, i haven't noticed it to be much weaker than my old dodge straight axle though, i just see you mud ur truck like i do and was curious on your opinion of the IFS

  • yes

  • yes what??? you do have alot of trouble with it?

  • are you dense? yes, I have trouble with the front end.

  • dang man, no need to be a dick

  • hey i have a 91 chevy silverado 4x4 and i want to know what the best lift kit for the price is any suggestions?

  • BDS

Where are you from? I'll see if I can hook you up.

  • im from lubbock texas

  • rough country is the best lift for the price. BDS is a good kit if you wanna spend money. RCD is also good and it comes with bilstein shocks

  • Nice truck man

  • That was sweet you should check out my videos i like the red chevy but im a k5 fan

  • those tires stick out on that truck

  • hey whats up man, pretty nice vids. you got a ton of hits =0) check out my skull crusher bro

  • thanks man, you got a good looking youtube site, love the K5's

  • conaveral groves?

  • no private land in Longwood

  • are those on a stock lifted z71? i have a 98 chevy silverado z71 and i wanna knoe if i can fit 35 under it without lifting it

  • It will probably rub pretty good behind the front wheels, allthough I have seen it done with some trimming,

But if youre going to try this you will want to use a wheel that has a stock backspace.

  • The red truck is mine it has 6" suspension lift and 3" body lift on 37's

and in cutain situations it still rubs, but I dont have the "Rancho" torsion bars cranked out either

  • i have a 97 chevy z71 and i got 285's under it with out a lift, but if u hit the railroad tracks hard, they will smoke ur fenders and cut up ur tires

  • do you have stock or aftermarket wheels?

  • amazing...

  • sweet mud that there be some real mudding

  • Getting stuck is fun... Getting unstuck is progress... Great video...

  • It's boaring unless you get stuck!

  • white size tires and lift are on the extended cab? just purchased a short box extended cab with a 6.2 litre diesel and want it to sit about that high.

  • It had

    37"x16x13.50 Pro-Comp Xterains

    now it has

    37"x18x13.50 Pro-Comp Xterains

not a great Mud tire but well rounded for offroad use, great on the road

+ now it has 4.56:1 gears with auburn limited slip,

  • Nice i have a 98 z71 on 40" TSL

  • cool is it still IFS?

I want to strait axle with coil-overs and put some 38's on it by the end of the year, I still like to trail this truck and its close to being to big

  • thats some real muddin. what years are those trucks?

  • Both are 97
