@chandlerdrakevon and you should get dusk balls.catch entei at night.First,teach jynx(or gengar or any other pokemon which can learn)mean look.use that.entei won't be able to escape.finally,after lowering his hp,use dusk balls

then, when your sure they will stay a lil bit more around(depending on how well trained your pokemon with mean look is), storm them with ultra and fast balls, oh, and if its night time, i suggest you use the Dusk balls, i catched my raikou in one of those =)

no, you can also catch him with ultra balls, but it takes a lot to catch him like that, at least 20, oh, and by the way, raikou and entei can be catched by first doing hits to paralize, that will continue to work next time you encounter them, then, lower their health to 1 point by hitting them with false swipe, a scyther knows how, and once your done with that, get a jynx from the ice cave or a gastly, they know mean look, that will work to avoid them from leaving battle,

Dusk Balls!!!! Dusk Balls will catch anything if you throw enough.... I did this with four of them.... No master ball needed! :)

@CubanPimp99-Defeat the master in Bellsprout Tower and he gives you Flash. (I'm unsure if it's correct). For some reason, in HeartGold & SoulSilver, Flash is TM70 whereas the original Gold, Silver & Crystal, Flash is HM05.

@451539 Yes i know I caught it. I hadn't any trouble on all pokemon games up to this point and for this too. I just wanted to know all the possibilities, because the kimono girl will tell you three different things that depend on the three different situations (either catch Lugia, run from battle or make it faint by defeating it). I just like to explore in all games, all different roads you can take and in Pokemon Soulsilver it's interesting how you get another chance catch Lugia if you fail...

the only thing that happens when you defeat lugia is that you willnot be able to catch it unless you saved the game before you versed lugiaso you can turn off the game and start again.
