  • Added to my Apocalypse playlist.

  • Trent made his self a legend; so many will follow in his footsteps. I love sound scape style and lyrics over theses things.. Peace youtube peeps

  • this is amazing

  • Im playing this song at the end of the world. if that ever happens in my lifetime i mean

  • @Biomechanoid77 The end of everyone's world will happen in their lifetime.

  • When there's too much bullshit in the news, media, world, I hop on here and am releived for 6 minutes and 39 seconds.

  • There's a reservoir of beautiful energy somewhere inside that dark soul...

  • fuck yeah

  • grandissimi.

  • aje sodom

  • Too many cool props in this video! Quartz, snakeskin, strange flowers, etc. Love it!

  • When I hear this, It justifies me. It's ok for me to be poor, It's ok that I don't look like a Model, It's ok that I want to just sink into emptiness and be left alone. I hope I hear this when I am dying, it will bring me to peace. I have 2 beautiful Children and I constantly battle with my feelings of wanting to die, becauseof this I am selfish. when I hear this song, I feel like just for a moment, it's ok for me to sink into my disfunctional self. Thankyou Trent for giving me my solitude.

  • @insideofgod You are NOT dysfunctional. This "way of life" is what's dysfunctional. Everyone feels it. No need to punish yourself and your children because we are simply passing through the dark ages of human consciousness. People are slowly coming around. The greed and mayhem we are experiencing is not the true nature of humanity. But some want us to think that this is our natural state. We are here to save and preserve and rebuild. You are one of the strong ones. You will make it. Peace.

  • @insideofgod That's not a normal compulsion. I'd seriously see a doctor about that if you have access to health care. Do it for your kids sake. I say that as someone who's felt the heavy blanket of depression on my own life.

  • @insideofgod you are one of the strong ones. you WILL make it. mindsstormsabrewin nailed that one on the head. your children love you and you love to hate yourself. but you really you love yourself.

  • ohh drugs, you have never helped make better music. i lovded you

  • i think of it as the world just having this one moment where everything is silent just nothing

  • I wonder if the crystal is DMT.

  • @bluetat no i wish it was that would make sense

  • love this song so much harmonics are beautiful. Good for meditation peace!

  • does somebody remember the code to see this video on the home dvd " and all the things..." ????

  • this song takes me to a place i cannot describe. the lyrics mixed with the perfect instrumentals give me a sense of majestic euphoria

  • Amazing visuals to match the lyrics. The song is about the day his grandmother died. I think the snake skin represents an empty body. And the snake slithering across the dust reminds me of the idea that we're created from dust and we return to it, At least thats what I interpreted it as.

  • Agreed on your interpretation, however I beleive this song is about his Grandfather dying. Since the lyrics refer to a 'he'. And I believe 'I'm Looking Forward to Joining You, Finally' is about his Grandmother passing.

  • @Simulacra541 I'm thinking that's actually sand, meant to depict a desert. Some snakes thrive in the desert, while others die... The skin is not a corpse...the shedding of a snakes skin is a natural occurrence meant to uncover the newer skin beneath.

  • where can i get this song

  • @titshitkid And All That Could Have Been: LIve

  • the ending is so epic!

    i love this song!

  • this is live? when? where?

  • The live footage is from the 'And All That Could Have Been' DVD. This video is an easter egg on the DVD.

  • words cant describe this song. speechless

  • i love this song so much especially that weird sound at the begining going weh wah weh wah. nin rules!

  • i truly cannot describe the place this song takes me to

  • there is something majestic about reznors work that leaves me bewildered and in a state of euphoria. I honestly haven't listened to anything but NIN for the past couple years

  • Me too; NIN has spoiled me for all other music. Nothing connects with me the way Reznor does.

  • me to!

  • nice vid!

  • this song will always be one of my fave's!

  • This is a genius work at its finest

  • I don't know about favorite song, but in my opinion the Fragile is still the best era of NIN, and possibly could remain the best of Trent's work. Even if Trent doesn't think so himself. The Fragile is one of my top 3 favorite albums of all time.

  • i don't really like trent's voice that much but i think the music speaks alot, like the guitar riffs in the beginning: so amazing, makes me feel strange!

  • I've grown to love Nine Inch Nails, after my boyfriend introduced them to me many years ago. There music is different and amazing and I know Trent strives for it to be that way. Now NINs has such a diverse range of Compilations from Pretty Hate Machine, With Teeth to The Ghosts Album there's something for everyone. I still can't get over the song Something I Can Never Have. My boyfriend who is a HUGE fan said that he nearly wasn't going to put it on the album.

  • The hell, who would say this their fav NIN song? 0_o HURT owns this by millions miles

  • Everyone has different tastes bro. My favorite NIN song varies day by day.

  • I would

  • EWveryone has their own favourite song, and i'm not speaking about NIN only.

  • than you must die!

  • I love this version of the song, I could get lost in it for hours, beautifully put together and an all round epic track. Trent is pure genius, I wished he'd make some music similar to his old stuff again but it seems pointless, he's happy in his new direction and you can't blame him. Rock on NIN.

  • You read my thoughts

This is so amazing! The fragile is really a masterpiece!

  • I can't explain what i feel when i hear their songs... thank you Trent, thank you NIN...

  • How about "NO" *clicks on hide spam*

  • The Greatest unerated Film Clip ever!!!!

  • ...everything after 5:05 is just perfect =)

  • This... is my absolute favorite NIN song.

    It is beyond amazing. xoxo.

  • Anyone know where I can get this version of the song?

  • It's on "And All That Could've Been" which is the Live Album they did of the Fragility Tour. Available at fine record stores everywhere!

  • Steal it.

  • You'd make trent proud w/ that suggestion.

  • Hah, I think I would. I first heard this song on youtube and LOVED it. I HAD to have it right that instant. A week later I got the CD from a friend sence the story didn't carry it. Its amazing, get it.

  • No I really meant it. Trents not about the money. I read he would want anyone who wants to cover his song "JUST DO IT!" w/out consulting a lawyer he doesn't care. Steal my album if U want it that bad. Infact he's giving away his best album in years 4free on his site ;) I just bought Broken (4thtime) YEARZERO (1sttime) Ghosts (2nd time) Downward Spiral (3rd time) and Fragile (3rd time) truth is he doesnt' care too much about making money. He gave away what? 50,000 usb keys w/ yearzero on it@conce

  • I know Trent is truely about the music and the art. Hell he could live off just the money he makes from concerts. I love him!

I try to buy albums, but the stores don't carry them. So I steal them. Its not like he or the record companies need the money that bad.

  • ye, what the fuck is up w/ not being able to buy em anyways. I went to Future Shop. they are saying they are no longer trying to sell cds anymore. Best Buy just made their music section smaller too. Music World or is it HMV> have insane prices. 52 fuckign doallars for The Slip and a Soulfly album. for the last 2 years I've d/l'd like crazy. but I'm tryign to Buy lot's of cd's again. but they are getting hard to find.

  • Can't buy them in stores...$0.99 and have to deal with all the adware whatever program comes with online. OR Free with a perfect little program called Audacity. Hummmmm

  • god i love this song. people have know idea what goes through my head when i listen to this song.

  • Takes me back in the day. man, I wish he could make something like the Fragile again. :P , but I guess that's his style. And I hope he never does again......... I guess. I loved that album front to back. It's music u can rock out to w/ some beer and some buds. or just sit back and think for hours. wierd combonation.

  • *song*

  • This might be my favorite Nin...ever.

  • Reznor is amazing. Ive been listening to him since i was four. I have never heard a song by him that i diddent like. Hes just a great artist

  • it's so sad to think he lost many fans cuz of this CD and all others after it

I luv all NIN just so all ya know

by the way i love the na na's after the 1st whoo-ooooo

  • INCREIBLE TEMA!

  • 2:53 /facepalm trent.

  • you know you'll pay!!! reznor.fail to the nada!!!to disappear!!!as you great god!! scary as your pray!! but magnificent as yourself.

  • When i hear this i honestly have some kind of majestic euphoria

  • NIN always touches the point, where other commercial "artists" never can get.

    This is art.

Sadly, plastic faces are more important to the masses.

I hope the day will come, when the world went away. To a new realm of understanding.

  • Wow, you're right on the money. Word man, word.

  • Partially correct. Many commercial artists make very good songs, it all depends on what you like, however I know where you're coming from with that, and I agree that a lot of it is just bullshit made by pop stars or rappers just trying to get famous.

  • There's nothing you can say after listening to this song but that it's gorgeous

  • love it!!!

  • Hes magic.

  • This song is amazing. Trent puts so much emotion into his music, it's incredible. I love him.

  • Completely awesome...no, way beyond awesome! He's so fuckin talented! what can't he do?!

  • kill chuck norris

  • Lol..what did that guy do to Trent..?

  • he made trent second manliest man ever

  • I don't know about you, but I don't listen to Nin because Trent Reznor is manly, which is a very vaque and hard to define trait anyways. Trent Reznor beats Chuck Norris any day, by infinity roundhouse kicks!;)

  • and I'm also *pretty* sure Chuck Norris was already grown up when Trent Reznor was in his mother's womb.

  • BEST BEST BEST. END

  • this version is different then the one i have.

    is this the live version?

  • i thin its the live version from "And All That Could Have Been" or i could be wrong

  • no thats a separate song...i think this is just the live version...i gotta download this!!

  • Love the Song, Its amazing! Not such a big fan of the video.. Makes me feel alone but does give me a strange sense of relief?! Fuck knows why.. O well, cheers for upload!

  • best music-video ever!

  • Anyone think the beginning of this song sounds a bit like the 28 weeks later song?

  • yea, it has the same type of guitar distortion as the 28 days later song has. where do you think they got the idea? :O

  • it´s soooooooooooooo good. i hear it everyday and i love it^^

  • The whole "Fragile" is a Masterpiece!

  • This is perfection. <3

  • I like the flowers - supose if he used poppys it would have been too obvious - like the insideuous snake too.

  • This is BEAUTIFUL.

    Peace Rog

  • this is just a mad song

  • YO IMPORTANT!!!!!!

I FOUND OUT THE FLOWER AT 3:11 ITS CALLED

    Caribbean Nenuphar

  • Such a goddamn beautiful song. Even when he hit rock bottom, he was still so talented.

  • The snake skin is symbolic of the old life he's shed off (drugs, etc...) and the flower is symbolic of new beginnings.

    /I'm sleep deprived

    //Just made that up

    ///AMAZING SONG

  • like the sysmbolizm of the snake skin and the flowers? also it seems trent is where he lives..

  • how could you idiots like the live version more than the studio>!>!>!?!?!?!?!

  • Usually the live version is rougher and has more energy...

  • the percussion asshole!!!

  • Live has energy. Studio has production... thy're both damn good, two completely different things in NIN's case, so I think it's cool.

  • i know this is a lame question but am just curious do you guys know if Reznor smokes?(tobacco)

  • More than likely.

  • I don't think he does. Cigs are disgusting.

  • He did at one point... he did a lot of heavy shit at one point... but now he is all sobered up.

  • i just orgasimed in my pants for the hole 6:38!!!!!!!

  • amazing song

  • Absolutely beautiful.

  • ....Amazing cup of soul!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.....

  • great!!!!!!!!

  • Best song EVER !!!

  • The random ending with Marilyn Manson kinda scared me lol

  • yeah, i know right? lol, i was near tears and then i'm like 'WTF?!' lol... great video, beautiful song.

  • i cry when i watch this

  • Wow I'm so surprised I haven't seen this video before... Beautiful!

  • Gorgeous video! Why is it so hard to find out who the director(s) are?!

  • I like this video better than that torture shit, but Broken is an amazing album as well

  • Life is pain...And lies and love and fuck...

  • awesome

  • 03:53

    What is that?

  • maybe jade?

  • mabey charcoal...or that rock, shit whats it called? well its black as hell and breaks alot...

  • Obsidian perhaps? It tends to break and shit.

  • mabey

  • i think it could be some kind of resina or incense...

  • yeah that could b it...

  • Awesome. Just awsome.

  • Everyone who likes the albums of Nine Inch Nails should check out a live shows or buy "Live: Beside You In Time", its not just the more hammering sound but a real entertainment show including video projections and so on..

  • you do know that this is the version from and all that could have been!

  • Yes ont of the best album of all times.

    The downward spiral is great also...;

  • Love this song. This album is one of the best of all time.

  • Art

  • Nahhh nah nah nahhhhhh!!!1

  • I always notice how his hand looks fucking huge in this vid when he puts it to his face.

  • Has anyone noticed that thi video is basicly the album cover for the cd? Theres a bunch of that one flower they keep showing on the back, and the red/orange color is like all over both.

  • Have you seen the booklet for Downward Spiral? Its blood.

  • No actualy. Its sad, its one of my favorite cds but i dont have an original. I just might get one to check that out.

  • Have you seen the booklet for The Fragile? Its flowers.

  • absolutely brilliant, genius

  • Oh yuck, this version is horrible!

It almost killed the Fragile version for me :(

  • I disagree. The Fragility version was much better than the album version. Especially Robin's guitar and Charlie's theremin were breathtakingly beautiful. The current line-up has never been as good as this either.

  • wish he made more videos, cant get enough.

  • I fxcking love this song.

    Thanks for posting this up.

  • this is beautiful it makes me cry

  • this is fucking beautiful

  • The video for this beautiful song is great. Very good images and concepts.

  • when you listen to nine inch nails you visualize it in your mind, but it doesnt compare to trents vision. This video is amazing.

  • I can't get enough of this song.

  • YAY

  • one of my fav NiN songs
