What's missing is an intro, an outtro, any sort of change from the 3 chord progression you came up with, there's no variation to the melody that repeats itself ad infinitum (adding new background fills doesn't count), and there are no dynamics in the volume. I'd start there. Real music doesn't need drips or beats.

I don't like the drip effect every bar, and not too much at all. Gets very distracting and repetitive. Other than that, really calming :) I would give it 4/5 :P

some minor scales on the background/melody, tempo to ~170 and a sharp detuned saw leads with distortion and a hardcore kick. then this would be a really GREAT hardcore anthem ! :D
