I didn't realize I was depressed untiil about 3-4 months post sugery. You should start screening now. Depression can hit at any point. I think the prevelance is highest < 2 yrs. Having a stroke is life altering. Patience is key. Stay involved with her recovery. Let her know she is not alone. There are plenty of resources and support groups. I would recommend checking out the american stroke association website for more resources. Let me know if I can be of further help. tnx

Shes progressing very well. Just to be on the look out, when did you start feeling depressed? I know you are a busy man, so if you dont get this in time to answer...
