  • i am a right winger, avid shooter, a subscriber to your channel and big fan of all your videos, except that comment on bringing firearms into NYC airports "really sneaky" thats questionable my friend, i live in NY not in any of the 5 boroughs so i don't have any over the top restrictions on any of my firearms. but i don't advise anyone to be "sneaky" when it comes to firearms and commercial airlines

  • The date on that orange tag is my birthday.

  • can i check a knife in my luggage thats not on me it in the plane ???? someone please answer

  • @sillyman2266 You can pack a knife in a Check bag, that goes under the plane. I have traveled with several folders packed away on numerous occasions.

  • Buy a $40.00 flare gun! Throw it in your luggage. Check your bag with a firearm. Lock your bag. YOU keep your key no crappy TSA lock.

Safest way to fly with expensive gear. 50 state leagle.

  • you might want to add New Jersey as a state you don't want to want to come with guns like NY

  • great information! thank you

  • /watch?v=mGjddG5Owsc Deviant Ollam also has a great breakdown of the procedure.

  • What poor quality? It's great video quality and very pertinent importance. Thx

  • Not only do different airlines have different policies, but many airports have different ways of going about the firearm checking process. Indianapolis International actually takes your keys from you, leaves the security area, and opens the case without you being present before passing you through the security checkpoint. After doing this on two separate trips out of Indianapolis, I asked the TSA gentleman about this. He stated that "its just how IND does this sort of thing." IMO, No Bueno!

  • Good information. While in the military I frequently traveled with firearms (donestic and international). I have attached the Federal Regulations that govern travel aboard aircraft with firearms. These are not all inclusive as it does not discuss international travel, which has additional requirements. As mentioned, the airlines have their own rules. Sometimes when I would fly out of Tucson, American Airlines required my ammo to be in a seperate checked bag.

  • @gunrunnerdave I almost always flew AA, but they were never consistant in how they applied their rules. Here are the Federal Regulations (Title 49 Transportation, Part 1540.111) that govern travel with firearms:

    ecfr.gpoaccess.gov/cgi/t/text/text-idx?c=ecfr&sid=111ccd5bc310beaf3e73b5c75276dbd5&rgn=div8&view=text&node=49:9.1.3.5.9.2.10.6&idno=49

  • I have routinely placed TSA locks on my firearm's hard case while traveling, and I have even had a notice of inspection placed inside my rifle case once (so TSA must have looked at my firearm without me present). No one has ever said anything to me about what type of lock to use! Should I be using non-TSA locks???

  • Your "poor quality" is still amongst the best on YT. Safe travels.

  • I hate air travel after 911. Gave it up .

  • Great job,Thanks for sharing.

  • Good video. I used to work for United Airlines, and it is safe to say that you SHOULD review your carrier's policy on firearms. They are not all the same. Some (maybe all) cities have undercover police officers at the airports, so I wouldn't try to take a firearm to a city where gun control laws are draconian. I would avoid cities where you are not allowed to excersize your 2nd ammendment rights, if you can.

  • Good Video.

  • Thanks

  • Good vid

  • Thx for the info good vid :)
