  • JBL lsr 2300 series are a better honest quality monitor then krk for the low price point.

  • ridiculously stupid to make a youtube video to ask 1 simple technical question.

  • anything will work for this crap your playin!! for white music use Genelecs.

  • @hbrookes

ive never heard of "white music"

  • dont get monitors to play this shite

  • choose dynadio?

  • M Audio BX5A!!!! They're great bang for the buck and sound siiiicccckkkkkkk

  • KRK'S no doubt love mine and I've worked in night clubs and studio for the past 2 years

  • Numark NMP5's. FANTASTIC STUDIO MONITORS FOR THE PRICE. they blow out quite a few $175+ monitors. and the best part about them, ONLY $90!!!!

  • I hate to disagree with Zoroastrizm about the Yamahas, but personally, I would say to save an extra hundred dollars or so and buy the ADAM A7s or A7Xs. They are the cleanest and clearest monitors I have heard under the $1000 marker. The price is approximately $499 each. I purchased those thinking "just until I can afford the Genelecs, but they are incredible. I will eventually purchase a set of P33s also by ADAM based on the quality of the A7s.

  • only buy YAMAHA HS80M if you want really clean sound...

  • just get samson resolv a8 they are the best quality for the money.

they can kick your ass with biiiiiiiiiggggg bass and give you the detail of any instrument and vocals. just have a look

  • In my experience i would say that the KRK Rokit's are the best in this price range, by far!! Clean crispy highs with very solid, rolling bass...Definently no subwoofer needed. If you are looking for excellent studio monitors in the $200 - $450 range...Get the KRK Rokit's!!!

  • I have a pair of KRK RP8 G2.

I can tell you, they're awesome, bright sound, great but still clean bass response (no sub needed)

    I really recommend them ;)

  • bro stop listening to all this comments go for a pair of KRK Rp6 or a pair of yamaha 5 monitors thats all you need trust me

  • @zirokiller00 Yea trust you!

  • hey how does the m-audio bx8a deluxe sound for you ......... im looking to buy those

  • guitar center has all these for sound comparison. the mackies sounded realy nice untill they were all tested at full volume. the mackies took a dump as soon as the vol. was mashed. the only ones that truly shined at full volume were the rokits. trust me, you will not be disapointed with them. in itunes pull out the eqalizer and adjust the settings to your style and i know that you will be blown away. the mackies are sensitive and will not sound impresive past mid volumes.

  • Picked up a pair of used Event ASP 6, for $350 used off craigslist.

Great sounding speakers and would have costed $1000-$1200 new, not long ago.

I bid on a few on ebay, but being able to go meet someone and pick them up was much nicer.

I suggest a used, fully working, at purchase tested, pair of quality monitors for sale on craigslist.

  • you'll have to pair the speakers with a sub woofer for good bass. most studio monitors reach down to 37hz which is low but there is a curve so that those frequencies don't come through as much, you buy a sub then they'll do that.

  • I think the yamahas are the best choice, they are true to the sound, and dont flaunt the bass or highs. In my opinion they are the cleaneast flattest sounding studio monitors. Why do you think every studio has at least one pair of yamahas, you can see it in every video of stars' studio

  • i recomend u the m audio av 40...i use them myself and there realy gud

  • @Murat1158 M-audio make good products so you probably made a good choice anyway . Thanks Aaron 

  • @Murat1158 Go with the Mackie MR series . The 6" are about $400 and the 8" are about $600 for the pair . These have a flat frequency response which is great for mixing down because the sound is true and if you get the sound how it should be through these monitors then your track will sound amazing through other colored speakers ! another advantage to the mackies is that you can adjust your freq. levels to match your recording environment . IMO and many others these are definitly the way to go !

  • Best song choice for this video, fo sho!

    I'm lookin for monitors too...

  • if you recorded and tweeked a track with more bass it shud come out and sound on it with more bass. thats the use of a studio monitor. to let you hear the real sound of the track just like how you and tweeked it and want it to be.

  • genelec for bass, krk for mid. behringer for a flat sound and samsons for a good high.

so i would recommend the KRK or the genelec.

Like a KRK VXT6 or RP8. or any normal sized genelec

  • Tapco S5 they are better than comparable KRK's

  • good speakers is really important for good music,it can take music to another level. If you want to listen to some really good and fresh electronic music you can check my page,if you got good speakers it will sound really good : ) have a great day

  • Yamaha H50m or H80m the best choice for your studio!

  • Im looking for monitors, nor for a studio but just high end speakers for my comp/ ipod. how do monitors hook up to the sound source / head unit. Im guessing not a normal 3.5 mm

  • Yamaha HS50 are the most revealing, flat monitors under $450. You can really hear the inner detail better than other low cost solutions.

You can clearly find better monitors but they will clearly cost more, Genelec,Dynaudio,Focal,ADAM among others.

To really hear what great monitors are you should hear a installed pair of mains monitors by TAD,JBL and Genelec.

  • I dont no the price for for Rokits but i would recomend them. Maybe rokit 5s or 8s

  • M-Audio Studiophile BX5A Deluxe

  • I would go for the Yamaha HS50m..I find that they really do reveal bad parts in your mix. As for KRK Rokit G2s, they too sound very nice and they are about the same price as the Yamahas...But to my ears, the low frequency on the Rokits are slightly muddy and perhaps "enhanced" in some way. If you want more bottom end then go for the 8" models. They are both very good for their price, but to my ears I think mixes translate better on Yamahas then the Rokits :)

  • @clubdude08 Agreed, anybody who actually mix and master music on their own knows that the Rokits aren't the best in that field. As Far as mixing goes Yamaha HS50m and a specially the HS80m are the best. The Rokits sound good but as soon as you listen to your track in the car it's not gonna sound the same.....

  • Rokit's!!!!

  • what's the song name?

  • @carzakone333 Dr. dre ft eminem - forgot about dre :)

  • alright im assuming that people have told u the typicals (rokit, mackie, behringer, yamaha, rubicons)

if you happen to see or have a way of getting your hands on these monitors, they usually get really cheap and the sound is truly remarkable for what they are try out the following:

    ESI Near 05's

    Event 20 20

    Fostex PM0.5

the old blue Samson Resolv 50

  • EVENT OPALS!

    dev.boostthedb (com)

    AMAZING Reviews ON that Site!

  • YAMAHA HS80M THE BEST ONES

  • @alex85sound sony works best for me!

  • Behringer Truth B3030A or B3031A is really good choice. It have kevlar woofer + ribbon tweeter. Some recording engineer said it is better than some of $1000 Adam monitor.

  • I compared the mackie MR5 and JBL LSR in guitar center showroom and ultimately went with the mackies bcz of the added bass (which you can kick up a notch or two with the switches on the back). JBLs were more crisp in the mids but lacked the bass I was looking for. Can't really go wrong with either. Depends what you want. I'm new to studio monitors but am very happy with the MR5s.

  • Try jbl lsr series as well....depends from what kind of sound you like.....i have jbl lsr 2328p and i like them....They have a really low bass and i think they do not need the subwoofer...They get the job done as well and you can hear the different instruments easy enough.....

  • Here's the Thing Its your ears that will tell you what to get . Im sure this is an old Video but hey . I tested out the mackies did not like them at all even though they are GOOD monitors .

  • KRK RP8 G2 is the way to go my friend!

  • the overall packet i thing goes to yamaha and JBL..

  • YAMAHA HS80M

  • Alesis M1 MKII is superb. Bass is a little muddled and tweeter less clear but not by much.

  • good idea with the questions as youtube videos. had to give 5/5 for that. I search Youtube for questions i have, But KRK is my personal favorite. Aim for the KRK VXT-6 or at least the Rockit 6's. Good luck

  • My favorite three are....

Mackie Mr series. *Great for the price* Natural response

THe new JBL lsr 2300 series *built in room calibration* (Probably the best in terms of frequency performance)

    Yamaha hs50m

they will allow you to hear every nuance of your recording that typical low priced monitors won't

  • samson rubicon r5a's proved to be the best for there price range according to future music magazine i have them but need more low end .. as when i tweak a mix it comes out bassy on other systems .... i still think behringer truth's are under rated ..........

  • Thanks for commenting. Are behringer better than Mackies? I'm thinking about getting the mackies because of the hype and information people say about them. The hype is that it is the true sound that comes out of the speakers. Is it true? I'm thinking about buying them for that reason. I want the true sound of each drum or bass to come out of the speaker.

Should i go with the Mackie MR5's?

  • i think the best way would be to go to your major dj store and having a listen im not sure where your from but here in melbourne oz we have dj warehouse that has most popular monitors set up to test out ... from memory behringer are mos def the best bang for your buck but makies are better quality and that comes with a price....krk's r solid....im looking for some yamaha hs50m's or hs80m's myself for an upgrade to my samsons .........

  • @HSM3500TV yo, guy. get the tascam vl-a5. they have excellent bass response (down to 38hz at -3dB). they are very balanced, detailed, and have a beautiful soundstage. good luck!

  • @nexusdb I have the Tascam VL-X5's and they are also great but I think the A5's are the newer models but my X5's where only 299.99 when they first came out.

  • I heard the krk's are horrible. Is it true?

  • lol, whoever told you that has trouble hearing.... xD

  • I thought so....it was another producer, maybe he was tryna keep me from gettin em

  • @Deuce06lg KRK's horrible? That is insane, who ever said that does not know what they are talking about... KRK's are used basically in every professional studio around the world! There is a reason for it..

  • I am on the Tascam VL 5, I think they stopped making them and they are now Tascam VLA 5. I am not sure of the price but I know mine was 300 for the pair and I love the sound. My next step after this is the Yamahas HS80s.......

  • i looked up specs for the krk rp5's, mackie mr5 and m-audio bx5a's, which are all the same price, $150 each. the mr5's had the best High/Low frequency wattage compared to the other two. In fact its almost DOUBLE that of the rp5's...

btw check out my channel and subscribe if you like my beats ;)

  • Mackie Mr8s. Very very good for the price.

  • Im going to go with the KRK purely because i always see them in backgrounds of interviews with major producers/bands , does not mean they are the best all it means is that this is one brand of speakers the giants use

  • Tapco S5 Studio Monitor

  • I would aim for the Mackie Mr8s. For the money they have better accuracy and quality then the KRKs in the same price range.
