I've only seen this movie once and there's this one short scene that still burns in my mind:

the artist, Vermeer asks Griet while they're staring out the window, looking at the clouds: "What color are the clouds?"

She replies: "White. No, yellow, gray, and blue."

For some reason that scene is just beautiful, enchanting.
