If I want to work with ANY camera that goes above 200fps, I'll stick with a Red One 4K or higher. Yes, it is $25,000 as opposed to this $800 camera, but then, every shot is quality 2-4K resolution @ 120-200fps respectively.

This camera, in this mode....utterly useless with the low res.

Sorry, but that's my honest opinion.

It is as you said - a test. But more can´t this be, i´m sorry. I´m using this cam myself and i´m very happy with it, but the 1200 fps mode with its 96 pixel in heigth is just a gimmick, not more. 300 fps (512x384) or 600 fps (432x192) held the balance between speed and quality. Nevertheless there is nothing comparable around for 700€ and if you want to do 3000 fps (or more) in 720p there´s nothing under 50.000€ - not to mention Full-HD ...

@onTh3edge yes, but very expensive. The phantom can get up to 5,000 frames in 720p, of course it can cost as much as 150,000...

Its good as a research tool, but quality is a bit low res at 1200fps, considering the pro grade setups for highspeed filming this is quite affordable and probably a good starting point.

high speed recording seems like a killer feature but is a bit of a gimmik, this camera like the lg viewty i breifly owned only records very high speed at very low resolutions, video was ok, tho smashing things on the brick was a bit anticlimatic

How did you get your vids to come out so clean looking in 1200fps mode?? Everything else I've seen is really really dark and really grainy too....

I'm guessing there's a lot of post production on this video, and this isn't raw footage straight from the camera.

Staphinfection, there is no post production on the video; it is imported, edited together and the uploaded, but we didn't tweak the video.

The secret is light; to get decent results in the fastest mode, you have to have lots and lots of light as the shutter speed is really short

Neat video clips! At 1200 fps, even the colors look quite good. The Casio F1 looks like it does a great job in high speed / slow motion mode, although its resolution @ 1200 fps is very limited to a tiny 96 pixels vertically. The only slight criticism I have is to adjust the focus to make the pictures sharper, like how the one at 1:24 (the lighter) is nice and sharp / focused. Thanks for the video clips!

hey dude - nice clips, but a little blurred. set the ring options for the ring on the lens on "focus" and then you can focus the shot :)
