You could make better use of rough terrain. Tanks are so much slower in it you that it becomes difficult for them to avoid getting hit. Wait until the enemy tanks enter rough terrain and then move your own tanks forward to hit them.
7:20 I have a better hint for you Kikoskia. Instead of using physical, real-life CD, download a DEAMON tool, or some other program for emulating Disc drive, and just mount CD/DVD iso into it. No scraches, no noise, no problems with disc having to speedup every 5 seconds.
DOSBox can mount it directly (imgmount command), either as a IMG/CUE/ISO image, or mount any physical/emulated (ie. daemon tools) drive (mount command).
