  • He is not informative, because in 1988 (the year of this interview), he said it was A-OK for Reagan to give weapons to Saddam.

He doesn't respect non-Christian religions (Islam).

He is a hypocrite with the drug issues.

He DOES make fun of personal issues, like Michael J. Fox's Parkinson's disease. Even if Fox was off his meds (which he wasn't), his tremors were still a result of a neurological disorder. They should not have been mocked.

  • @keyboardplaya

Rush IS highly informative. He has never been hypocritical about anything. Islam is an evil religion that preaches hatred and murder. And Michael J Fox was a dishonest HACK who put on a disgraceful show to push a dishonest agenda before the election.

Michael J Fox is a hypocrite.

    Rush Limbaugh is a hero.

  • @herbs814-Spoken like a true conservative who is willing to say or do anything no matter how disgusting to support conservatism. You people are not above throwing your own under the buss in a effort to defend conservatism. Anyone who wants to know the true story of conservatism should study what happened in the former Saipan when conservatives Abramoff, Delay etc. had free reign. As Gorden Gecko said "You think your in a democracy , but your in a free market". God help us all !

  • Is it just me or does the show's host, Miggs look like the Phil Hartman Saturday Night Live Character "Unfrozen Caveman Lawyer"? I do like the opening and ending credits of the show though. Old school local tv show style.

  • I liked the opening credits to the show and the host, Miggs should get a lot of credit for treating Rush well since he mentions he is politically opposed to Rush. And all we conservatives really want from the media is to not hate, if you throw in a little fairness that's just icing on the cake. And if you listen to Rush regularly and objectively you have to admit at the very least, he's very entertaining, I just happen to agree with him on most things. Anyway, thanks Miggs, good job.

  • I guess I feel that this is a punishment for something you never meant to happen in the first place. Anyway, sorry so long of a post, I never do this, but thank you for posting the clips, they were really neat. Good Luck to You.

  • It would have been better if Sen. Kerry represented his position, this way, he is insulated. Unfortunately when you put yourself into politics, you have to take the heat. As far as his drug problem, I would be harsher on him for this except I don't think that he felt he was being disengenious. He started taking the medication for severe back pain, and I don't think he was aware of when the line blurred between the pain and the addiction. I had the same problem, and I also lost my hearing. cont.

  • Don't get me wrong, I feel great compassion for Fox, but he even admitted to being off his meds in order to exaggerate the worst of his condition. He has since done several t.v. shows, and has not shown as many symptoms. cont.

  • When and where did Fox say that?

  • I think you should consider yourself very lucky, Miggs. He was an excellent guest, and was willing to do whatever he could to make your show as positive as possible. You seem like a nice guy, but I'm not sure I can agree with you on your opinions. For one, as far as MJ Fox was concerned, in politics it is very dirty pool to use someone for political gain that the other side cannot respond back to, less they be cruel and mean-spirited. cont.

  • Thanks for posting this. Rush is obviously a person that you are mostly idealogically opposed to, but you were fair and objective in this interview.

  • Thanks. There was a lot to to admire about his broadcast skills and intelligence even then, so I didnt want to let my meaningless views get in the way.

  • i wouldnt say rush is venemous. i listen to him on a day to day basis. he is always very polite, especially to callers. he gets riled up every day about whats going on in the world, but this is the purpose of program. its editorial and entertaining.

  • You're right, venomous is too harsh. But he has on occasion been mean-spirited though, not with callers, with whom he is always fair and a a great educator. But with the Michael J. Fox thing and all the stuff he used to say about people with drug problems, lacked a bit of humanity. He does have a great sense of humor and is probably the smartest guy to ever be on the radio,

  • He almost seemed human, miggs. A very different man than we listen to on the radio. You got a lot out of him-great interview.

    Great job...

  • This is illuminating...

  • Thanks. Imagine him doing a public access show now. This was his first TV interview and he was thrilled to do it. Very gracious but not nearly as strident and venomous as he can be today. Someone called in a bombscare before we taped and we had to stand outside in the snow for an hour while security swept the Cablevision studios. No complaints or whining from Rush at all. He took it all in stride.

  • wow. its miggs, the guys from the interview, i'm gonna have to look you up. like your style dude.
