@gabfreak I take it that you're probably a younger guy like me, born in the mid-late 80's to early 90's, who grew up with Pierce Brosnan as James Bond. I grew up watching all of the Bond films, and have always pictured Sean Connery and Pierce Brosnan as James Bond himself. The character of James Bond from the books however is much different than the character that Brosnan plays, although shares some similarities with Connery's Bond.

@gabfreak I believe that Daniel Craig has played a fantastic James Bond, his character has that same "not giving a fuck" attitude that the Bond from the novels has. The Bond from the novels was a more badass, hardcore, dark character, like the one played by Craig, rather than the more wisecracking, gadget-using Bond played by Brosnan. I still love both actors portrayals of the characters, and both of their performances work well in the saga of James Bond, but I wouldn't say that one was better
