  • I loved i wish i could play that good but i think the gold headpiece might have something to do with that. The piece of music was delightful.

  • I loved i wish i could play that good. The piece of music was delightful.

  • very sweet tone - keeping in mind you are playing along to a pre-recorded CD this is very good work indeed - a highly enjoyable YT clip.

  • I like the deep dark tone of this flute. Maybe it could be mic'd a little closer, or with a better mic to really hear it properly.

  • Lovely sound ....french or English?! Did you try Nagahara? I have a Miyazawa ...agree t's a bit edgy...but there is more to it than I'll have the time (or ability!) to develop.

I also own a Rudall Carte Radcliff ...a lobvely old instrument.

  • can u upload 3rd movement? pleasee...

  • Muito bom!

    excelente sonoridade e interpretacao. Obrigada

  • Lindo!!!!

  • I'm probably being unnecessarily picky here, but in 1:02, you're playing second octave Bb but I believe it's meant to be first octave Bb :D But other than that, it's perfect. I really love your intonation!

  • Very pleasant and beautifully done!

  • Ah, Bach, just listen to him. Only so pious a man could write such music with God on his side.

  • super. Great legato on the harpsichord!

  • What's the rush boys? Enjoy it, slow down a bit, no harm done and have a bit more fun with it... oh and some emotion there too... I'd phrased it a bit differently, but that me.

  • Ah! What lovely music to mine ear! I always love BACH when it played by a RIGHT musician! Carry on! NICE:)

  • Thanks for this, and hope you're enjoying your new flute!

  • hi sir.. can u teach me how to play the low C? because i have this music sheet that has lots of low c's but i can't play those low c's//.. please help thanks

  • Low C tips.Throat relaxed & open"ah" like yawning.Corners of lips down, lips pulled back against teeth(but not too tight),loosen middle of aperture.Aim air down into emboucher hole. Roll flute out, chin back.Airspeed gentle(like fogging up a mirror feeling). Keep mouth cavity open, tongue down low.Hope this helps. Smiles!

  • You may have to tilt your right hand to the far right to hit an accessory key, if you have one for the low C. I used to call the emboucher, "liver lips".

  • hi

i think you are a very good player. you have very nice sound, but the only thing is from looking at your videos is that your tone always seems to be the same you should try changing it up more so that every recording explores a new direction.

  • good job!

  • which flute brand are u sing? Yamaha?

  • beautiful. you are very talented...keep up the good work!

  • Loving the sound you just need to work a bit on your image. A black wig, band shirt and a studded belt and bracelets would do the trick. lol

  • nice. it would be fine if ya could just wip out the flute at home in your comfortable clothes and start tearing it up.

  • You're right, that is an awesome combination! It sounds beautiful. D: I wish my damned flute was fixed so I could play again.

  • nice job dude :)

  • Excelente interpretacion, gracias

  • Excellent talent I can see here. Great job...

  • So rare to see a good flutist post on YouTube...thanks. You play Bach better than Galway who ruins Bach with a Romantic style and horrible vibrato. Nice touch similar to Alain Marion who understood that the music was better without the bombast.

  • Heya, that was really good. I'd reccomend practicing keeping more still, as you can easily ruin the sound by moving around to much.

  • You're getting used to hearing the pitches at the break- Bb, C and D; they're sharp. You need to focus the air in the flute more there, as they stick out and make the flute sound out of tune with the harpsichord. Very common error with flutists. Don't roll in just put more top lip over the bottom to focus better and stay in tune there.

  • Nice style, not overdone, very tasteful. Try to control the pitch in the high register-you go a bit sharp (high Bb, C, D). Use more vib on these notes. Keep your head up in the low register; you're losing some volume because you cover too much lip plate in the low register. Who'd you study with? You're pretty good.

  • Muy buen sonido ,perfecto estilo

  • fabulous...the othe piece i commented on lacked dept h but this is wonderful...

  • Played this solo a million and one times, i love it. But, it sounds as if you slowed down a bit after the first 2nd set or rests, other then that is lovely ^_^

What I love most, is that your style is different from the way i play it...bach's music is so easy to interperate differently...but thats why i love his music.

    kudos!

  • very nice! i am playing part of this sonata for my music major audition next semester. this gives me more of an idea of what i need to achieve!

  • I think the flute overpowers the harpsichord a tad too much. Besides that, excellent performance!

  • GREAT JOB MARK.. HOPE YOU WILL PUT MORE VIDEO'S MAYBE, you can play exerpts from BACH brandenburg concerto no 3

  • Heh. Never mind...I just noticed it mentions the accompaniment at the beginning :P

  • Nice! I really like your sound. I'd love to hear you play some 20th century or romantic music.

Where are you getting the accompaniment? Is it SmartMusic?

  • Yay! You're back.

  • You have an excellent sound, and the Bach sonatas are just wonderful pieces to play. Nice stylistic playing here, good.

  • oh... I loved this sonata when I was a child... and still love it. I have Jean Pierre Rampal's performance at home.

    Beautiful ;)

  • Thanks for bringing back your videos! Better than before ;-) but it is not only the headjoint crown stopper combination ;-)

  • Dear Mark:

yours Videos seems to have Disappeared!... please, if it is possible uploads again, they are very good.

    Thanks
