I finally got to see a Kindle first-hand in Target, and compared it to my Nook. Actually, there was no comparison. The Kindle 2 feels very cheap, and would be my last choice for an ereader. Anyone thinking about getting a Kindle, go try it in Target, then go try a Nook at B&N or one of Sony's ereaders at BestBuy, OfficeMax, etc.
The iphone has all these features.....why does anyone wanna spend the hefty $360 for extra baggage when this can all be accomplish on an iphone?...No backlight?????....boo hooo when ur on the plane
Well.. the Kindle is marketed towards those that read novels, not comics books. Obviously this item doesn't pertain to you, come back when you get out of the comic phase and start reading some real material.
I think icyhearted01 actually made a valid point for a newer model of the Kindle. Eventually, comic books will be read just how novels and periodicals are evolving to be read now.
Look, it's obvious you are illiterate.. and possibly mentally retarded? Really, who in the fucking world reads comic books or graphic novels? Oh yeah, that's right... COCK SUCKER PUSSIES THAT LIVE IN THEIR MUM'S BASEMENT.
well... that's because you're just another illiterate comic book/manga reader. Good thing amazon doesn't give a flying fuck about your minority... otherwise we would have an even shittier product.
Thanks to your illogical basis of a response, you have in fact proved to everyone here that YOU are the idiot. I don't have a kindle, I don't want a kindle. Nice try though, and instead of saying "not illiterate," why not just say "literate?" Literate is in fact a word. Use it and you'll sound less redundant.
You are a psycho. Why are you telling me not to use illiterate? I was taking the exact language from your first response to me. You should take your own advice. I bet you do own a Kindle.
well some benifits i could think of about it is save paper for other things helps people with trouble reading small text or the blind (with the reading feature) and if u have a long plain ride u could bring a super thick book that is technically less than an inch thick so its not a complete waist when you think about it

Most of us have been satisfied with reading regular books for over 150 years. Convince me WHY we need this silly new gadget.

Still no color? I can read on my Blackberry, and get this, it's in color too.

Novels still don't have color... isn't it strange? /sarcasm
AlaskanPipeWorm 3 years ago
Yea, and without a color display, it's ugly looking. I can read books on a laptop in full color. I'll stick with full color and internet.

lol...i love how u use the word "illiterate"
do u even know what that word means?
and for the record...i dont read comic books either.
have fun reading ur novels on Kindle2 lil fagface =)
and i'll enjoy living my live in the real world not in some fantasy land in book

I was only saying that the Kindle may adapt to Comic books and Novels.
According to logic; if I read comic and graphic novels doesn't that make me not illiterate?
I did not want to say it but why would anyone buy a Kindle? Just to then purchase books to read on it.
Seems wasteful to buy something to read with; when you can still read a book without the Kindle. I guess it's you that is the fool for purchasing it.
