@ScoobyDewbieDoo Give the Degredation Trip double album a try. It picks up where Alice and Chains left off and goes even darker. The only thing missing is Layne Staley's voice. The rythum section of Rober Trujillo (now in Metallica) and Mike Bordin (formerly of Faith No More) are rock solid, especially since they had been playing together for Ozzy. Jerry does some really slow dark stuff and even some acoustic type stuff. I fucking love it and made a mix CD with stuff from Mad Season.

I love Jerry Cantrell's music, but I find that with Alice in Chains, him and Layne were perfect together and made some of the most amazing music the world has ever seen.
Slash is currently overrated, as his recent stuff has been poor... probably because he is a guitarist that works best in a good duo. He has had his time as, in my opinion, one of the all time greats. Nobody can argue that his Guns work was world class, and for that he deserves a mention in any list of this generations greats that pops up.

Why the FUCK do I have to sit watch a 30 second advertisement on some bullshit product I am NOT interested in??? I wenton this to watch a video, you pin-heads!!! Slash is currently overrated, as his recent stuff has been poor... probably because he is a guitarist that works best in a good duo. He has had his time as, in my opinion, one of the all time greats. Nobody can argue that his Guns work was world class, and for that he deserves a mention in any list of this generations greats that pops up.
Also, half of your list are dead or not our generation... no disrespect to them, R.I.P Jimi.

Cantrell was and always be a PART of alice in chains, stop taking sides, Jerry and Layne were both equal parts of the band. Jerry was the genius behind the music Layne was the heart n soul. And without Layne there is no complete alice in chains,
