  • can i use just olive oil? instead of extra virgin olive oil?

  • Gonna have to try this. I've been putting off washing my brushes in FOREVER because it takes me SO LONG to wash each one.

  • @SereedeelertPaula eheehee have you try yet

  • Omg thanku so much for this video :) I avoid brushes cuz I would always break out but this showed me u can get ur brushes back to white again and really clean. :)

  • can i just use olive oil instead of extra virgin?

  • I don't think I would try cleaning more than 2 brushes at once just cause I am using these brushes on my face & all the time I spend using face products to keep it acne free, I would rather take my time to clean each and every brush rather than clean it in bulk & have a bit of residue left over on each brush, but this is just my opinion.

  • @o1JUiiCY for face brushes i only do one or two at a time.. especially big powder brush just one and it takes up more water too.. thanks for your opinion

  • I've tried this with the baby shampoo alone, it cleaned my brushes well without the olive oil! The baby shampoo leaves my brushes smelling really nice too. I think the baby shampoo did a good job alone for me because I clean my brushes one by one and I am very very generous with the baby shampoo since it's so cheap and the bottle is huge! So it cleaned and smelt very nice.

  • @o1JUiiCY yup baby shampoo does a good job alone too.. but adding EVOO helps to break down and soften my brushes even more :)

  • AWESOME thank you for sharing!

  • @finewithinbeauty thanks for watching!

  • I sort of feel like a genius right now. I didn't read any of the comments, or start the video. But, I knew right away she was going to use olive oil. (:

  • @madisynk hahahaha yup you're a genius thanks for watching

  • You should use dish soap instead of baby shampoo because dish soap is antibacterial.

  • @chatdanslechapeau1 ive heard of dish soap before i will probably try it when im done with my baby shampoo thanks

  • Hey Cydangie, I was wondering how do you try your brushes? Because I always have a hard time drying them. Thank you in advance <3

  • @TheRealLightOFLove i put it on top of a paper towel or a clean towel i usually let it dry over night and the next day will be fully dry.. and what do you mean by having a hard time?

  • I currently use baby shampoo, but definitely adding evoo next time! Thanks for the tips.

  • @saucyfbaby let me know how you like it with the EVOO

  • I'm gonna try it soon! :)

  • @TheGlamorousbabe123 thanks for watching!

  • I did not understand. is there a mix of olive oil and baby shampoo?

  • @84valentinab It helps to recondition your brushes and break down the makeup that's on your brushes. Extra virgin olive oil is actually good for your skin.

  • does the olive oil leave the brushes oily after rinsing?

  • @x3ohmygrace if you put too much yes. that's why i used a spraying bottle it helps to control how much i want :)

  • Wow, that's amazing! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE VIDEO! <3 Too bad I just washed my brushes last night, so I'd have to wait another week to try this out...But it's definitely faster than the MichellePhan method I've been using! Plus, it uses the same stuff and less water (:

  • @ThanieKB good job haha

  • does the olive oil do?

  • @smokeymattenude The olive oil breaks all the makeup out of the brushes so you don't have to sit there and scrub and scrub..

  • dont forget olive oil is EXCELLENT for cooking!! chop up some fresh basil and tomatoes, let sit in a bowl and cover with olive oil...to make bruscetta toast some thick bread wedges, rub each piece with a garlic clove and top with the basil mixture...or boil up some pasta and toss with the basil mixture...delicious :-)
