  • A loveley lady like this, who needs breakfast, just Jerk me for 5 minutes and I be happy.

But what a lovely dish, cooked by a TO good looking lady, put me off my breakfast.

I want to marry a Lady from West India, they look good and cook good

  • will you ever do a black rum cake recipe??

  • @intomusicreview Lol! I probably won't be doing that.I leave that to the experts lol. If you want to order one, my aunt makes the best! I can make it happen :)

  • Thanks a lot for the video, keep doing what u r doing!

  • @tTASHMIAA Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed it :)

  • Not every Jamaican is the same and not every Jamaican cooks the same...I think it's okay to try new things and I like this video. The dumplings looks yummy.=)

  • @thademented1 thanks! agreed :)

  • awesome video! I am looking fwd to trying recipes.. I love fish for breakfast, gets my brain going:)

  • @roshaung Thanks hun! Yep fish is definitely great for the brain :)

  • Out of Many, One People is Jamaica's motto and I love how this video reflects the "many" of our oneness.

  • We can all appreciate your creativity and modern 'twist' Shelley. Thanks for sharing your recipes. However, this is very mis-labelled and makes a faulty generalisation. Jamaicans (including me, sitting in Kingston now) DO NOT eat the items you've included in your video. It would have been better to say it is Jamaicanised or Jamaica-influenced. But, I don't know the destination you took us with this food, and Jamaica is my home.

  • @Deneice82 Thanks for your critique Deneice. I was raised in the US of Jamaican parentage. Having traveled throughout Europe, Africa, US and the Caribbean I always infuse my culture and heritage with my travels. The video was not intended to label an entire country but rather share the bounty of that country from a unique perspective. I just left Jamaica a week ago and I know that all of the items in the video can be readily purchased, even the rare case of salmon ;)

  • @naturibeauty I'm sure a tally of the comments in favour and those out of favour (with this presentation) are a better reflection of your 'success' in 'taking us to Jamaica' than my 'critique'. Walk good.

  • @Deneice82 If you have time to tally the comments for your own personal research, please feel free. My status alone on google and youtube with this search has yielded a great success. Glad you took the time to watch the video and leave numerous comments. Thanks and all the best.

  • Who will you manage to cook all of these every morning?

  • @MrLinder lol. It depends on your motivation. Somedays I feel for something grand, other day a piece of fruit will do :)

  • @naturibeauty I see, you are pretty by the way :)

  • @MrLinder Thank you hun!

  • Who cares whether it''s 'traditional' or not. A person is allowed to put a modern spin on food. You moaners need to move with the times. Look out of your window: no ones riding horses anymore.

I'll be preparing this dish because it looks and sound great.

  • @MRBLACKPOWERFUL02 You're awesome! This is what I've been saying all along, glad to know you that you dig the dish and the non-traditional approach :)

  • This is not a Jamaican breakfast.

    AT ALL

    Coconut Milk in Callaloo?

    No freaking way

  • I would marry this woman omg.

  • i miss my country

  • @naturibeauty basicly u made fish cakes :/ + next time make the title a crafty jamaican breakfast cuz i dont think jamaican people have jerk salmon sound ghetto and then blending it it just makes it worst ! and u say its break fast i swear thats like a dinner good try though !

  • @applez571 Perhaps you'd like to create your own video and title it whatever you like. I share my culinary techniques not because I'm "trying" but because I enjoy what I do and very much like a traditional Jamaican breakfast I incorporated callaloo (albeit made with a twist) and fry dumpling, yet another breakfast staple.

  • @naturibeauty but the the thing that puts that all together is the acee and salt fish and some plantain like u blended fish that sounds soo aqwerd but if u didnt blend it and jerked it and said thats dinner that wud be fine but yet again good try :D

  • jerk salmon my ass ! weres the salt fish and acee or atleast some corned beef !

  • this is not Jamaica Breakfast secondly we do not put coconut milk in our callaloo dish so if this lady do not know how to prepare a Jamaica dish find a true Jamaican and asked them, shame on you.

  • @roswes78 perhaps you'd like to do a traditional Jamaican breakfast on your video channel, if you watched closely, I clearly state that this breakfast is prepared with a twist. From a creative culinary perspective I enjoy taking traditional ingredients and blending them in different ways.

  • i dnt like how jamaicans dnt put enough spice in there food cos bought some rice and peas 4rm a carib restaurant and it was tasteless and other food av tasted made by caribs @ parties etc ..and i also had some fried dumplings today and the inside tasted like raw flour dough and there was no salt. AGAIN WTH???

  • dam when i think breakfats i think eggs, hot chocolate, tea or coffee with toast or bacon bt this is a lot man.

  • @sweetappletits lol, well in the Caribbean breakfast includes those and a bit more :)

  • this was a nice creative creation

  • @KISSOFLIFEDIVA thanks for the compliment. I enjoy taking traditional ingredient and incorporating them in different ways.

  • trini women are the sexiest women in the world!!

  • This is not traditional Jamaican Breakfast, Salmon is not even caught in Jamaica and there is no such thing as Jerk Salmon in Jamaica.... The Callaloo Yes is made but most time not with Coconut milk, and Where is Di Ackee and Salt fish, naw mon dis ain't right, nice try at something new but do not use Salmon:)

  • @lushbeautiful Thanks for stopping by and commenting on the video. The beauty in art; is the interpretation and the lens through which it's created and those that observe it. This culinary creation is based off of my experience growing up with a Jamaican mother and Black American father and my own culinary twist. In no way, did I assert that this was "traditional". Instead I said it's typical with a twist.

  • @lushbeautiful I have not experienced salmon in Jamaica either AND the beauty about my channel is my ability to fuse different foods and create tasty dishes. In this case the salmon is awesome and one of my culinary hits. I'm aware how callaloo is prepared in Jamaica and I'm also aware that my palate is not limited to "traditional preparation". Instead I borrowed a bit of Trinidadian technique. This channel is full of culinary love. In no way do I expect you to like my food but respect is key.

  • @naturibeauty good good answer. u class her well with cursing she cant even reply smh

  • @KISSOFLIFEDIVA everyone is entitled to their opinion and when they leave opinions riddled with rudeness on my channel, they're entitled to it to. However everyone is not willing to do what I do and because food is my passion, I'm subject to critique and I'm okay with it lol :)

  • send the apes back to the jungle

  • Cu pon lips man? I woulda kiss of har face.

  • i enjoy fresh produce not can sorry

  • @RASHIDA718 I too prefer fresh girl! Unfortunately finding "fresh" callaloo can be a problem in certain states so I have to resort to can :(

  • I like your on doing these quick stuff dear :)

  • some nasty shit

  • wow, gonna try these

  • Those dumplings are so ugly... you should do the round onces that our mother and grandmother always make.. those are the real jamaican dumplings.

  • @TheJaqueenvn1 Thanks for watching the video. Our opinions differ on the dumplings and I would encourage you to perhaps create your own version of a Jamaican breakfast. That's the beauty in food, it really is inspired from tradition and then can be created with our own personal touch.

  • Real good stuff, what song is playing in the beginning?

  • @peachpiecookie Thanks! The song is by Lexxus called "Cook"

  • Girl this was a great video. =D I am ready to try this recipe out!

  • @LoveUrHairCar Thanks hun...how did it go?

  • @LoveUrHairCar It is absolutely delish...lemme know how it goes :)

  • What exactly is callaloo?

  • @curleedst It's a leafy vegetable that is grown in the Caribbean. It reminds you of spinach.

  • Nice video! This is interesting! I'm looking forward to tasting this dish in the near future. I love learning about different cultures & they're foods! Thank You :)

  • @KraziPink22 Thanks love! It was a lot of fun to make a sort of fusion "ish" approach to a typical Jamaican style breakfast. Glad you enjoyed :)

  • Great Video! I'm interested into trying new things & learning about different cultures so this recipe I surely look foward to trying in the near future! Thank You!

  • this was great Big Upssss

  • @msg360 nuff respect! give thanks :)

  • you know i never thought to grind up raw fresh salmon to make salmon cakes...great idea!

  • @tayluve and you can TASTE the difference..my mom was like "oh gawd yuh mash up de sumtin deh..it cost 9.99 ah poun'!!!!" LOL! But she loves how it taste!

  • @naturibeauty oh i bet you can taste it! i'd be a little resistant like your mom too though...fresh salmon definitely isn't cheap! but i'll still have to try at least once now...just have to get my food processor from my mom's house.

  • MY MY MY! YUM!!!!!!!

  • Perfect! Please do share, I love it when ppl experience the kitchen :)
