The piccolo has leaks it needs to be completely repadded which can cost hundreds of dollars up to a couple thousand depending on the brand.It looks like you have a made in Hong Kong piece of junk from Ebay that was sold to you at a flea market for Twenty Bucks.

tighten your embouchure and start with a steady stream of air. The muscles around your mouth should feel VERY tight. I have been playing flute for 4 years and have recently switch to piccolo for marching band. Its a big change. also I find it helpful to start off trying to play the F scale. you will hit the lower octaves and gadually move into the higher ones with much practice. Don't give up! and remember practice practice practice!

try blowing into just the motuh peice and put your hand on the end of the motuh peice and blow until u produce a sound. thats how i lerned the flute and piccolo

I play picc, and my advice is, as others have already said, blow over the hole. Tighten your lips, blow VERY fast air. Keep practicing. You'll get it. =)

u need to role out the mouthpiece moreeee, so that the air goes over the hole smoothly and flows through the instrument! practice makes perfect! keep trying! u'll get it eventually! good luck. :)
