ugh the thing about this guitar that it's such an odd shape.. I would've liked it better if it was just a regular les paul shape.. and if it came with some EMGs instead of seymour duncans

it's not the quality of a gibson. i own a gibson and shecters. they are not the same quality and don't let yourself believe it. It's true they are great for the money. and with gibson you are mostly paying for a name. But they are not the same quality. own a gibson and know what i'm talking about. schecter dresses up their guitars to look nice but as far as quality control it lacks and that's why they are not near as expensive. i love schecter and gibson. schecter more so don't get me wrong

@LilReaper608 I love my solo 6. But wish I had gotten it in Flat Black now. But it is truly a wonderful guitar and I highly recommend it to anyone. The blackouts are amazing, plenty of power and gain in them. If you don't like schecter necks, don't get this guitar. If you like light guitars, don't get this guitar. If you're gonna be a man and buck up to the weight, get it! That's my input.

@elite055 .... truthfully i traded with a friend for his esp ltd ec 1000 vb. neck is faster for me and its lighter plus you can not go wrong with emgs.

How is the neck on this guitar? Is it as fat as Les Paul or the Hellraiser Solo 6, or is it thinner like the other Hellraiser models and the ESP EC1000?

I'll probably go with the Ec-1000. I found the neck more comforatable. i like the super thin necks, even the the solo 6 has a nicer tone.

@jaymzosborne111 Well I had no problems adjusting to not having fret markers on the neck. and if worse comes to worse for you, you could buy some fret markers off ebay or somethings or go to a really good guitar tech and have em put inlays in for you.

Hey, quick question. What strings come on it? Atleast what size, do you know? And do they come with an extra pair of strings? Because i play drop B to drop G#, and if they came with 11s, i wouldn't buy them ahead of time, but if not, ill have to. Please reply! Thanks!

@thedustofakyle It does not come with an additional pair and I do not know the gauges of the factory. But I don't believe it was 52 or more. So it was probably a .49 on the 6th string.

@fluff191 Definitely worth every penny. Be advised though: Get a padded strap, it weighs a lot! The quality and beauty of this guitar is just amazing! It's lows are deep and booming, it's mids are strong, and the highs are clean and serene. Go ahead and buy it. 1 of 50! Value will only go up!

I bought this Guitar a couple of Days ago and its getting shipped, Do all Blackjacks come with a Case, or did you get a special order they forgot?

@dragonfire427 No, it was a special with MusiciansFriend. c o m. Schecter was supposed to package the guitar in the case, so I contacted Musicians Friend and they shipped me a Schecter case that I modified to fit the guitar. If you want a case that'll do this guitar good, get a Les Paul style one, cus the body with this guitar is very wide, and the les paul style on the upper part of the body didn't fit in the cutout for the Strat style case they sent me so i modded the case to fit my guitar. :)
